First of all, not every dish is spicy! Don't let the name fool you. You can get a spice level for all your dishes. This place has my vote for the best Indian food in the Charlotte area. We have been here over 3 times and here are my notes. If you like samosas, buy them. You will thank me later. These are in store made and the flavor and the dough is perfection. I buy them every time and so worth is. I have tried 3 different dishes here. Chicken Tiki Masala - Amazing Chicken 65 App- Amazing Chicken Kadi- Amazing The lady in the front is always so very friendly and nice, its always welcoming to have service in a place like this.

Little hole in the wall at a shopping center on WT Harris. Amazing food and service, I've only ordered take out, pretty quick in preparing the food. Highly recommend.

This was my second time trying curry, and it was absolutely amazing! I ordered the chicken curry with the level 5 sauce, and it was fantastic. It had the perfect amount of heat--just enough to make me sweat a little, but still very manageable. I'm confident I could handle level 6 next time! The wontons were perfectly steamed, and the basmati rice was spot on. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. I'll definitely be ordering again!

Fair price lots of chicken, delicious charred/grilled spicy chicken (level 5 spice) just perfect. Definitely will be returning for this whenever I find myself in Charlotte. Curry chicken level 5 spice aswell just perfect gets nose running but it's not over whelming spice! Just perfect ! Best curry I've ever had, will be returning and highly recommended. Friendly staff too! Want nothing but satisfaction for their customers. Beautiful Ambiance very clean, very simple.

The chicken palak/saag was the bomb! and the Garlic Naan& Mango Lassi were also a hit.

This is my very first time ordering Indian food ever. I got chicken #65 & a cup of veggie manchow. Okay, YuMM! I would describe my food as fun and fragrant. My favorite of the 2 items is the soup. My total was 12 bucks and I will eat 3 meals from this. Spice level is nice..the kind where you get a little kick when you lick your lips. I will definitely be back to tour the menu. The man who greeted me was pleasant. Thanks for cookin my Saturday supper, King of Spicy

I'm going to go ahead and admit that this was my first experience with Indian food in Charlotte (I lived in Raleigh, previously, which had many great selections.) I had my eye on King of Spicy from Yelp recommendations for some time, but never pulled the trigger until one rainy day where I was craving Chicken Tikka Masala for lunch and saw that they deliver on Grubhub. I knew I had to go for it. THE ORDER: Chicken Tikka Masala, Spice level 4 ($14) Garlic Naan ($3) Total: $17 I'll admit that I was mildly surprised at how expensive the food was (the above figures are before delivery charges) but I understand they do a lunch buffet for significantly cheaper and the food I received was a HUGE quantity, so fair enough. The Chicken Tikka Masala was absolutely delicious! A spice level 4 (out of 10, mind you) was still plenty spicy and the cooling provided by the rice made for a delicious combination. After finishing the protein, I immediately paired the remaining sauce with the Garlic naan which was absolutely delicious. The meal as a whole was fantastic, and definitely one I'd spring for again.

Food was really great. Very fresh & tasty. Loved it sooo much. But I'm not that excited with the way they are maintaining the restaurant. They should really think about updating and cleaning the place.

Came here with a group of seven and we ordered a lot of appetizers and some entrees to share. Got a great sense of what they can do here foodwise. It is located near the old Eastland mall site, but that should not deter you since they are a stand alone building and have plenty of parking spaces around the building. Best guess is that the building used to be a mexican restaurant of sorts, but don't be fooled by appearances. You walk in, there is a rather large dining room, a small stage, and two pool tables! Definitely got a sense that we were in for a treat even before we sat down. Behind the "stage" there's a wall were a projector was showing youtube indian dance music videos.... Pretty awesome. Especially when the videos started buffering (maybe when more customers came in to use the wifi). Super charming anyway. Now the real star of the place: the food! Probably the biggest hit with our table was the cauliflower (gobhi) appetizer... came with two dipping sauces, delicious. We also ordered dosas (mild and spicy version)... garlic naan (a must)...Chicken Tikka Masala was solid. The Bhindi-do-piyaza (okra) was pretty darn amazing. And we had a couple other things, including something that was not on the menu but our resident indian food expert requested it and they obliged. Overall a great experience and I can't wait to go back to order off the Indo-Chinese part of the menu!

Mmmm, garlic naan. I've good things about this placed and saw there were a lot of mixed reviews on here. I got a groupon to get up to $20 worth of food. Me and my husband went last night. The restaurant is really big and very divey. I'm pretty sure it used to be a mexican restaurant. We got sat right away. Server was really nice and friendly. I got the chicken tikka masala with white rice. My husband got the Chicken Kadai. I got my spice level 8 and he got spice level 7. I got the perfect amount of spice for my masala. My husband tried it and thought it was really spicy. My masala was delicious. Had peppers and onions in it too!! The Kadai had a good flavor to it and chicken was very tender. He got brown rice with his. When I was checking into Yelp I saw a offer for a free Mango Lassi. I asked the girl what it was and she said it was a thick yogurt mango smoothie. I asked if I could redeem this offer even though I have a groupon and she said that was fine. The smoothie was super thick and tasted just like mango. It was very refreshing. Great to drink after eating spicy food!! The garlic naan was amazing!! It was super warm and had great flavor to it. So yummy!! After we paid, a manger/owner came out and talked to us and asked how we heard about this place and we told him through Yelp. He was really friendly and talked to us a bit. The place isn't the nicest but sometimes the best places are divey. We sat at a booth and there was a stage next to us. The restaurant is very dark. The only thing new about that place is the "King of Spicy" rugs on the floor. I did like that they have hand sanitizer stations everywhere.

Vindaloo Got the lamb good but kinda too sour for me

This is soooo good must come try it... if you hate spicy then get 0 spicy please because I heard some customers behind us complain and we got 7 and 8 and it's was perfect spice for us... they have 1-10 level of spicy and it is spicy but I love spicy and it hit the spot. The sauce was on point and we love to come back again...

I wish I would've ordered something different than the Jhol Momo - Vegetable (Nepali dumplings in…read moresauce) because they gave me chicken instead. If ordering takeout, that's a dish that you won't be able to check until you're home and cut it open or pop the whole thing in your mouth. And that means if you're a vegetarian, you will be really disappointed because you will either not be able to eat your meal, or you will have to drive out again, meaning that you won't be able to eat with your friends and family by the time you get back. (And if they wait for you, their dishes will be cold.) My friend enjoyed their Aloo Ghobi (potato and cauliflower curry dish). The restaurant smelled fragrant with Indian spices and the staff is immediately inviting and nice! The restaurant appears clean and well-maintained. For those reasons, I'm giving them 2 Stars. However, it is a BIG mistake to switch a vegetarian dish with a meat dish, leaving one person in the group with nothing to eat, so I really cannot justify giving more than that.
