Food first, thoughts after... Wow. I am blown away on how good the food was. Delicious. The space was modern and despite the spacing they did a good job maximizing it with indoor and outdoor tables. I am still in awe over the flavors and quality of the food. Definitely coming back.

Wanted to give Indian food another whirl before I conclude if I'm a fan or not and it's crystal clear that I'm not unfortunately I was super excited to try curry up since they offered Indian street food they have authentic Indian dishes as well as their spin on foods like pizza burritos bowls and chicken sandwiches the food looked so good and the service was top tier I truly appreciate the servers taking the time to thoroughly explain the menu as well as give recommendations we went with the pizza mini samosas tacos and the chicken sandwich the pizza came out super fast and hot I'm learning I'm not a fan of turmeric either and it was heavily seasoned the samosas where hot and fresh served with two different chutneys we also had the tacos which were pretty good however they weren't served with a sauce and it made the tacos a little dry I appreciate the experience the establishment is small but super cute I love how the dine in drinks are served in mason jars may have issues with seating if you're with a crowd parking wasn't bad we went around 7ish but could easily be an issue on a busy night

I had the chicken curry wrap. That was phenomenal, and I got the mango lassi which was fresh and delightful for the palate. The service was really good and fast. The ambiance was very modern and full of life. The music was easy to listen to. And it was nice to have a conversation. The lighting was soft and vibrant. I will be back

I went to go try this place out because it seems like it would be pretty good and I placed an order for a protein bowl which clearly states there's lamb chicken, avocado, pico, cucumber, and cauliflower rice. As you can see what was received in the picture is at best half of what I ordered no lamb no avocado no cauliflower rice just normal rice and to be honest the very small portion for the price I also scheduled pick up for 7:30 and they were late on that too. I understand that they are new and they need time or whatever to set up but how can I order something and get almost less than half than what I ordered unacceptable.

First off, it was packed! There were people hanging out of the place to try it. I took that as a good sign. The service was kind of slow but I think that's because they had a million in restaurant and online orders at the same time so again, I'd take that as a good sign. I had the Burrito and it was very good. I also tasted my friend's pizza and it too was good. We're planning on going back soon to try other items on the menu. The aesthetic is cool. It has that west coast vibe going on which is great to see in Birmingham. If you go, be sure to have plenty of time allotted since it's very popular.

Wow. Incredible. Delicious. The presentation. The portion. The service. I'll be back to try everything on the menu.

When I picked up the Punjabi by nature burrito I ordered the first thing I noticed was that it weighed a lot.

I've…read morealways enjoyed Indian cuisine, so when I was deciding what to eat for lunch, I decided to give Sitar a try. Their Uber Eats page is well-formatted, with all menu items listed, accompanied by descriptions and pictures of most items. My only issue with their menu on the app is that the descriptions were not very clear about whether an item came with rice or if it had to be ordered on the side. My order arrived quickly and came in a large brown paper bag. I chose the butter chicken, and it came with basmati rice. They were packaged separately, with the chicken and sauce in a large plastic container and the white rice in a small styrofoam box. I like that they separated the two to let the customer have control over the chicken-to-rice ratio. Plastic cutlery was provided as well. My food was still hot when it arrived and was full of flavor. It tasted like a very good homemade meal instead of something made with low-quality ingredients and little effort put into it. The sauce on the chicken was very creamy and absolutely delicious! The serving size left me plenty of leftovers, and I was very satisfied.

Sometimes I'll call ahead and just pick up my food, which makes it really easy between classes or a busy schedule. The restaurant itself has a casual atmosphere, which I enjoy because it feels relaxed and welcoming. The service has always been great whenever I go. The staff is friendly and the food usually comes out very quickly, whether I'm dining in or picking it up. My go to order is the chicken korma with butter naan, and it is honestly one of my favorite meals. The chicken korma is creamy, flavorful, and pairs perfectly with the naan. They also give a very generous portion of rice, which I always appreciate because it makes the meal even more filling! The only small downside is that parking can sometimes be difficult, but I usually end up finding street parking nearby. I recommend this spot for a warm, comfort meal!

My favorite appetizers are the Chicken 65 and the Vegetarian Samosas. The Chicken 65 consists of bite-sized pieces of chicken breast that are fried and then tossed in a spicy sauce. It's served with chopped red onion and a cilantro garnish, making it perfect for sharing at the table. The Vegetarian Samosas are deep-fried pastries filled with green peas, potatoes, and Indian spices, with a noticeable curry flavor. They're served with a brown, tamarind-based dipping sauce that pairs perfectly with the filling. One entrée we love sharing is the dosa. A dosa is a lightly fried crepe, and there are about a dozen variations, each with different fillings and spice combinations. The dosas are served with several sides for dipping or eating with pieces of the crepe. The Tandoori Chicken Tikka Kebab is another favorite. The chicken is marinated, baked in a clay oven, and brought out steaming hot on a sizzling platter. In addition to the dishes mentioned, Bawarchi offers many other classic Indian favorites. One word of warning: if you order spicy, they mean it--the heat level can definitely light you up!
