    Channa Masala and Vindaloo chicken
    Sara R.

We loved our experience and the food at Desi Twist. We tried the traditional indian food but I can't wait to go back and try the twist sandwiches and other items. The service was outstanding and our food came out so hot and fresh! For Father's Day they gave all the dads a delicious Chicken Charga leg quarter. The interior has a very modern feel with signs that were so funny and unique. I wish we lived closer and I would definitely be a regular. My belly was full and happy.

Butter chicken bowl, paneer tikka masala, Cheese Naan
    Genevieve G.

I got the paneer tikka masala, and my son made a bowl with butter chicken and Tika sauce and other things. We also got the cheese naan. I can't say enough good things about this place. Since moving to the south I'd say this might be my favorite Indian /Pakistani place I've been to. I wish this was closer. I would be here every week. So delicious and they have juice that is like mango lassi and it was all you could drink. I really hope they open one in Atlanta.

Had the paratha burger and I highly recommend it. Crispy and delicious. Can't wait to come back to try other dishes

    Samosa Chaat

Food was amazinggg. Homemade kulfis. The samosa chaat was fire. Nihari beef and naan and rice were a delicious combination. Great sized portions, but didn't negotiate with flavor. Great staff! Service was great. Ambiance is very modern street style decor and very comfy and cozy but fancy seating. I think you could have a fancy date night or a casual lazy day bite.

Best Indian food I've had in Birmingham. I had the 65 burger and my wife had tikki masala and they were both great.

It shut down one day after they opened. The items are store bought - nothing else to comment on. Too much hype but not much substance

We all agreed beforehand that we wanted to try a new place that felt pretty relaxed and had outdoor seating. This place gave everything, plus some! We didn't have to wait long for a table, and our waiter was very attentive & knowledgeable about the menu. He answered all of our questions & helped me decide what to order. The outdoor seating is spacious & it was nice to hear the live music coming from a neighboring business. My friends got the Goofy Foot drink & said that it was good but definitely on the stronger side w/the tequila. I opted for a glass of Riesling, it was delicious & paired perfectly with my meal. We didn't get any appetizers. I ordered the fish of the day: Red Snapper w/a Sweet Pea, Tomato & Saffron Risotto 20/10 I always judge food on whether it's "first bite" good & every piece on my plate passed the test. One of my friends chose the Smoked Salmon Pizza, which I was a bit skeptical about at first, but I tried a slice & it was so good. Definitely an out of the ordinary pizza combo that made me rethink all the ways smoked salmon can be used. Another friend ordered the Grilled Ribeye w/Brussel Sprouts & Mashed Potatoes, she loved it! The espresso martinis were also delicious. I wanted a cannoli for dessert but they were sold out, unfortunately. Overall, I'll definitely be returning b/c the food, pricing & atmosphere are all worth the drive. Can't wait to try the lunch menu next!

It's never a failure if you learn something from it. I learned that these short rib sliders are no match for my appetite.

The food was average (wings and fries) it was around 5:30/6:00 on a Thursday so the restaurant was pretty empty. After our meal, we sat there and chatted for 20 minutes (maybe) when our sweet waiter asked that we should basically take our conversation elsewhere. I could tell he was very uncomfortable asking us to leave but I was MORTIFIED. If there was a crowd waiting to be seated - ok fine, but there was not. If we were loud - ok fine, but we were not. We are two older ladies catching up on life. I don't care if the food was wrapped in gold and danced around the table...I will not be going back. Our waiter was told to ask us to leave by management (convinced of it)

After being seated in the bar area, we were informed by our server that only appetizers were available. This was both confusing and disappointing, as it does not align with reasonable expectations for a restaurant still open for regular business. If the kitchen is no longer able or willing to prepare full menu items well before closing, that policy should be clearly communicated--either through adjusted hours or by informing guests upon arrival. Otherwise, it creates the impression of inconsistent operations or a lack of coordination between management and staff. Situations like this suggest a need for clearer operational standards, better communication, and stronger staff alignment with customer service expectations. Guests should not feel discouraged from dining simply because they arrive within what should be standard service hours. Overall, the experience reflects an opportunity for improvement in both management practices and customer hospitality.

It was about 30 minutes away from my house so I was indecisive if if I wanted to drive that far for food. This place is located in like a mini mall there weren't many cars out in the parking lot and they really weren't that many people inside. But you could tell there's regulars there because when we walked in they were like we don't recognize them lol It is not table service you order at the cash register what we used to call it. They do not have Coke products. They only have Pepsi so I ended up just getting a water. My son got a sweet tea that he liked. He started off with a beer, cheese dip, and that came with pita bread and chips. The server threw some toast and that was really good too. I ordered a cup of the French onion soup and it was delicious. I also ordered the Quattro (Four) cheese flatbread. My son ended up getting the spark burger with mac & cheese. He was dazzled by the burger, but not so much the mac & cheese. I ordered a water. He ordered a sweet tea. I had to ask for a refill for him and I never got a refill for my water. They really weren't a lot of people there so it wouldn't be hard to refill drinks. There is a bar there with a bartender it might be better to sit there so you can get more attention It was definitely a 70s 80s theme in there. In the bathroom, they had a cassette box with real cassettes in there. I really did like the decor. And they do have several TVs in there to watch sports. I'm not sure if I'll be back or not
