I left the rug on the floor for a few weeks hoping the ripples would settle, but they did not. I asked Baseer to take a look and fix the issue, but he denied that the rippling had anything to do with the washing--which is simply not true, as the rug was perfectly fine beforehand. He then charged me an additional $175 to "fix" the rug, but he was unable to do so. The rug still has ripples, and now it is also stretched out of shape (see pictures). When I confronted him about the poor quality of work, instead of taking responsibility, he repeatedly accused me of lying, raised his voice, and even said he never works with people of my background and nationality. This was despite the fact that I had already paid for his poor service and was only voicing a legitimate concern about customer service. To be fair, Baseer's prices are reasonable, but that is probably the only positive thing about his business. Unfortunately, the rug in question had deep sentimental value for us, and now it has been ruined. All he did was accuse me of lying while charging me for services he did not properly deliver. Absolutely terrible customer service. Stay away at all costs.

It all started when Basser answered his work phone at 9pm on a Friday night two weeks ago (I had planned to leave him a message). He took my info and called me back the next morning, as arranged. When Baseer came to my home the following Monday afternoon, we focused on two rugs - a small silk handmade Turkish that was in need of deep cleaning only and a 50-year old, 9'x14' green and ivory Indo-Chinese medallion rug. This rug was severely and unevenly faded, had damage on a small border area due to resting under a heavy upholstered chair, a few 1-inch "pock marks" in ivory areas of the rug, and badly "eaten-up" and uneven fringe. . He worked with me on an approach that would bring the large rug back to life - stunning and "whole' but, per my preference, showing small imperfections of age. And would keep the price in a range I was willing to spend at this point in time. After showing me some interim pictures post-repair, I realized it would be insane not to spend a little more to re-fringe the rug. Both rugs were back on my floors the following Monday afternoon and laid down by Baseer and his lovely wife, Veda. Already, I've gotten several "ooohs and aahs" from the small number of people who have seen the rugs. Baseer left last Monday afternoon with one more rug - a Chinese English Garden woolen runner that hadn't been cleaned since I bought it in 1991/92. The pictures Beseer sent this morning, after it was cleaned, show such bright colors that it almost looks like a different rug. And it also looks new, since he also re-fringed it. In addition to being a delightful individual, Baseer is very knowledgeable and talented (he does some of the detailed color restoration himself). He loves his work, has a sharp and artistic eye, and believes that he does well when his work makes his customers happy. All this at very fair and reasonable prices. What more could I ask for?

I don't normally look for furniture in these type of shops but thought I would give it a go. The store front is a little misleading as it is much bigger inside holding a wide selection of quality merchandise which is nicely presented, much better than the other furniture stores I have been in. Considering I had no intention of purchasing anything when I went in, I left having purchased a number of items mainly due to the attentive service and knowledge of the owner Charlene Miller. My purchases were respectfully wrapped and delivery was arranged through Steve Ross who is an English antique restorer and mover. The whole experience was professional and not as expensive as I had imagined it would be. As I travel around quite a bit on business I am working with Charlene to find certain items for my new house and office, I keep checking their online site too for anything new. Would certainly recommend this business to anyone wanting to find quality pieces at affordable prices with great service

That happens and we were perfectly fine finding another place to consign it. When we picked it up we found out that it was stored in the outdoor garage.......it was wet, moldy, ripped and the colors had begun to bleed due to negligent care of Global Consignments. When we asked Charlene about the condition of the rug, she said "READ YOUR AGREEMENT" and hung up the phone. Horrible customer service !!!! BEWARE !! RIPOFF !!

If you want an irreplaceable family heirloom hand carved and made by your Great Great Grandfather…read moreover 100 years ago ruined, get your carpet installed here. The item in question was a hand carved and glazed mirror in a hand carved wooden frame. It had been removed from the work areas and secured safely in a room not to be carpeted along with other breakables and with a closed door. The installers took it upon themselves to go into this closed room and move things around, apparently knocked the mirror over and/or knocked it against something sharp resulting in numerous chips. They had no business going into a closed door room, for any reason, without asking in the first place. And they never said anything about the damages. The way I found out was after they left, later that day, I went into that closed room and couldn't find the mirror. Finally I discovered it strewn on the bed and saw the damage that had been done. The next morning we went to the store and we were told "I'm sorry, Labor Management will be contacted and you'll hear from us later todsy". So far it has been 6 days and no contact. I do not really know what can be done. As nothing on earth, nor any amount of money can replace this treasured family heirloom, which had survived over 100 years unscathed, needlessly ruined. By the way, the carpet looks wonderful, but will unfortunately always be a reminder of our ruined hand crafted irreplaceable family heirloom.
