The engine came off one of their rental boats - but was told that it was 'the owners boat' (I found out the rental boat bit buy looking at their web site and seeing the boat and the engine in their photos). When I started to ask questions, the sales guy was 100% rude and evasive. He promised to send the service records but when my wife called the main office to see about servicing the engine for shipping, the sales guy called back and went off on her. She was supper upset and crying after the call. I was just trying to buy a motor. No need to make my wife cry. Probably lucky that we did not buy the motor. They were clearly trying to hide something. I would stay away from Rex Marine. There is something bad going on there. No one does customer service this way.

The radar began having issues not long after installation, and despite two service visits, the problem was never resolved. What's most frustrating is that the issue was reported during the warranty period, but instead of fixing or replacing the faulty unit at that time, the business delayed and failed to take effective action. Now that the warranty period has passed, they've acknowledged the radar itself has failed but are refusing to cover the cost of replacement or labor--leaving me to deal with the consequences of a defective product and an incomplete installation. Their only offer is to bill me for further work on a unit that was never properly addressed in the first place. I expected better service and accountability. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business and would caution others to be careful before trusting them with high-value marine electronics.
