I am not one to normally post a review but I do feel these days when someone or a business is exceptional in many ways that my i should take an extra step to let them know instead of just my loyalty, paying & a thank you! So here it is - Ive been going to Dr Couch for as long as he has taken over Dr Hemms Dental practice which has been years . I was hoping he would be good but after talking to Dd Hemm he assured all his patients he would not sell his practice to anyone unless they were his same high standards & quality of work & a good fit to take over what he built. I trusted him 100% & Dr Couch is even more!!! He LOVES his work, he loves his artistic part of making smiles the best they can be if thats what you want! He loves making your dental health top notch & if price is most important he makes those options for you which does no way compromise his dental work or quality it just might be different than cosmetic choices perhaps. Either way his heart is 100% about each individual patient & i have seen it over& over which just makes my admiration for him and his amazing staff that is obvious he selects with that they must be a perfect fit for his Dental office because each one is amazing as well! I know for a fact because they must love what he is all about & his work because most have worked there for years unless so long now retired and the new person meaning there for a few years is the newest of staff ! I've been coming to Dr. Couch for 26 years. I drove to see him even when living near Marina Del Rey! The service received today is the same as it's been since the 90s. They were communicative regarding special Covid instructions, organized upon arrival, timely, professional and masters at their craft and friendly from first to last point of contact! Finally I got here to share my opinion. I called this office over 6 months ago to schedule an emergency appointment for my front broken tooth. I got very harsh response that dr. is busy and can see me in 2-4 weeks since I'm not a patient of a record. I explained to the front desk that it is a broken front tooth and I'm in pain. She wouldn't care as this is a policy of the office. Honestly I was shocked to hear how they throw people away with pain. I can't say anything about a doctor since I didn't get a chance to see him. I made an emergency appointment as my crown fell out and my existing dentist is booked until july . I called Dr Couch to see if they could get me in. I was excited for the last minute appointment but soon to be greatly disappointed. The yelp reviews looked great but obviously misleading. Don't be fooled , I sat in the chair waiting for an hour to see Dr Couch. He never came into see me greet me or anything. The front desk said Dr likes to " chit chat". I've been going to this practice for over 25 years, I think. Dr. Hemm was great and very competent. However, he retired several years ago, and I was apprehensive about what would happen. Apprehension resolved: Dr Couch. First of all, this is a very friendly practice. The office staff is always very friendly, personable, and competent. Appointments are always scheduled with care, with the requisite reminder call. Second, all appointments are nearly always kept ON TIME. Third, the hygienists are very good and friendly. Finally, Dr Couch is very friendly and communicative. At every step along the way, either with a future procedure recommendation or in the middle of a current procedure, he always explains everything, and makes sure you understand what's up. read more

I love Dr Couch and all the staff in this office! The 1 star reviewer should be slapped for their comment. The staff here is great, I can count on them to give me timely reminders and to take care of all insurance stuff BEFORE they do any procedure. During one of my visits they made a mistake told me my x-rays would be covered under insurance but they weren't and the office covered the cost 100%. Some of you may say, "so what, they SHOULD" but if you know anything about doctor/dentist offices they're mostly crooks and will NEVER admit wrongdoing let alone eat 100% of the cost. On to Dr Couch- he's a great dentist who has slowly been replacing the inlays/crowns my last failure of a dentist put in. All the work he's done for my has been great so far. He's kind and caring but also a master of his craft. He's also the first dentist who's novacaine shot I don't feel AT ALL and I've been to a lot of dentists. So yesterday I went to Dr. Couch's office which is always super warm and friendly. Dr. Curt and his Staff are heads and shoulders above the rest. I went to the dental office to prep my lower teeth for six crowns. I went home my wife prepare dinner for us and I kept forgetting that I had six teeth worked on today, and ate my dinner like any other night. Dr couch and the staff are awesome, i have been coming here for about 5 years after, like most people, bouncing from dentist to dentist. Dr Couch has done maybe 2 root canals and a filling or 2 on me over the years. But i go every 6 months or so for routine deep cleanings. Everyone is cool there and the prices are reasonable. I'm writing this review on behalf of my husband. He had his first visit here last week and he was blown away by the amount of attention and fantastic results from his dental visit. The office is in a strip mall, but once you walk in you'll be surprised by the amount of warmth and care from the receptionist, dental staff, and the doctor. My husband couldn't stop talking about what a great visit he had here, stating that it was THE BEST dental experience he has ever had. Dr Couch has been working on my boss' teeth for years. I have been wanting to replace a bridge and a crown for years, but needed to save up AND find the right dentist. I am glad I waited. Dr. Couch and his staff walked me through the entire process of giving my 6 top front teeth a make over. They were so gentle with the long process and my teeth are fantastic. My bridge, crown and veneers look so much like real teeth that no one can tell that I am sporting fake teeth. Finally I found my Dentist. Curt, as we call him is a very cool person and his entire staff is fabulous. After years of skipping for one dentist to another, I was referred to him and quickly trusted him enough to install porcelain veneers on me. I have to tell you that my life has changed since he worked on my teeth. I have more self-confidence and I smile a lot more. He did a great job and no one can tell that they are veneers....so natural looking. Dr Couch is about 45, so he is up on the latest methods of Dentistry and he NEVER hurt me, not even with the needle. I highly recommend Dr Curt. NOTE: If you call, make sure to specify that you want to see Dr Curt or they will give you someone else, but really everyone there is great. They all ride the wave of his vibe. I would highly recommend Dr. Couch in Thousand Oaks to anyone who wants a caring, HONEST dentist. I first went to him because an endodontist referred me to him as one of the best cosmetic dentists. I was highly skeptical of cosmetic dentists, but I went based on the recommendation, and after a very thorough exam, Dr. Couch told me if I wanted to stay conservative with my darkened tooth, he could give me strong bleach instead. I was so surprised. I was so sure he would strongly recommend two veneers, like another dentist I went to - something that would cost me thousands of dollars. I kept going back to him for all of my dental needs, and he's my only dentist. Every time I visit, he remembers my name, asks about my family members, gives me honest opinions about every question I ask, and always has a genuine, kind, caring smile.
