That couldn't be further from my experience. I joined for a week to test the culture and never going back. I'm there to exercise and unwind. 2 of the first 3 times in the sauna I had to listen to members' politically charged, bs radio programs. Uh, can I just exercise and unwind in peace please? I complained to staff, and sorry, but it's not my job to police the other members. I'm a slight guy, non-discript, never felt threatened by the other members, but c'mon how is it okay that I have to listen to political propoganda in the sauna? If you don't want to embrace your own value statement, don't pretend these are your values.

Perfect for me since it's a short drive away, I have no excuse not to visit every week. The location is perfect, right on the main drag of Hales Corners, large private lot with plenty of parking, and easy access from local streets as well as the freeway. Those who utilized this space when it was Experience will appreciate the familiarity. The locker rooms are essentially the same, the layout is similar, though the pool has been removed to create more space for weights and additional equipment. There are two closed rooms where classes are held(spinning, aerobic, etc) which I have not used as they are not included in the basic membership that I chose. Plenty of treadmills, stair climbers, bikes and elliptical machines to choose from, as well as a system of circuit training machines. There's a warm-up area near the front that I enjoy using before and after workouts. Sleds, battle ropes and HIIT equipment in the "center" , an area for powerlifting that I'll probably never use, and a ton of free weights that I do look forward to using. There's also a relax and recovery area with an infrared sauna, tanning and massage chairs- this is not included with the basic membership which I was fine with. Personal training packages are available also, but only on a monthly basis. So far I like it. The staff are friendly, if a little overeager at times. It's clean throughout and has extremely convenient hours. I am docking a star for two reasons, probably only important to me. First, personal training is only offered by monthly packages. I do not need 8 or more sessions, especially when it's a little on the pricey side. I would prefer to have a solid 2-4 sessions but that just wasn't an option. Second would be the music. I can hear it over my headphones and that can be pretty distracting. I like to watch videos and listen to audiobooks sometimes, and hearing a club mix of T Swift over my audio makes it difficult, but not impossible, to concentrate. Crunch is still very new and has really operated well so far with no hiccups that I've noticed. I hope they stick around, and encourage the community to check them out.

Checking in was also a smooth process and a quick one if I don't say so. The room was clean and spacious like most suites. I didn't have any issues or complaints with anything. Well I recently changed companies and there was a gap between the last job and this one. Money was tight due to some personal issues that had to do with me leaving the last job and having a gap. I was checking in on a Monday to start work at my new company the following day so I did not have a company card yet. The hotel was booked and paid for by my new employer and my reservation was for 12 days. As I mentioned I'm a loyal Hilton customer and I use the Hilton Honors app. The day before check-in I used the app to select my room. I think this is where the problem started. I had a personal card as my payment method on the app and I think that when I checked in it switched from using the payment method my employer provided and switched it to my personal card, which did not have a large enough balance to cover the 12 days I would be staying. So my check-in did not go through. I calmly tried to explain this issue to the front desk attendant and she was absolutely uncaring, I think her primary concern was that she did not know how to resolve the issue so she just wanted it to go away. She insisted that the only card they had for this reservation was my personal card. I offered to get some info and call some people and stepped aside because there was another woman who needed help. Turns out the other woman was trying to sort out an issue with personal vs corporate payments but hers was a bit different than mine. I tried to step back up when that woman went back to sit in the nearby chairs but the receptionist told me she was still working on that woman's issue. She eventually called a manager and after dealing with the other issue asked about my issue and the solution was simple and something I had politely suggested earlier. The entire time she was uncaring, responded with blank stares and made pretty clear she didn't care if I slept on the street that night. I've been in Homewood Suites several times before. This one is new but it's not well designed. In the king suite there is one table and chairs that are taller than dining table chairs but shorter than bar height chairs. I am using the bags of supplemental blankets as a foot rest so that blood flow isn't being cut off as I sit to do work at the table. Other locations have also had a small work desk with a suitable chair. There is a built-in nightlight at the bathroom sink that can't be turned off. I covered mine with a band-aid. In the shower room and toilet there is a door and a motion sensor light. In the middle of the night it's like a flashbang grenade. I had to put two band-aids on that one. I don't really like the shower but it's a 3/5. The AC is like so many now. It lies. It turns off in the middle of the night. The breakfast is pretty average. There is usually a sausage, then they have had Chicken Tinga or Chorizo and Potatoes. Yukon Gold potatoes and scrambled eggs. Waffles, yogurt, oats, sweet baked goods, bagels. A condiment bar with a green and red salsa, jalapenos. Only one dispenser for regular coffee so it is often empty. Their OJ is in a pitcher and the cups for it are extra small, plus it has a chemical taste. I'm not a fan of hotel breakfast in general and this is no different than most. Oh, the dish washing machine is extra loud, like crazy extra loud. You can also hear every footstep from the room above, so I'd opt for a 4th floor room. Even thought this hotel is new the laundry is coin-op. EDIT: After the owners response I want to say that I have had exceptional experiences with the shuttle drivers. All of them. I should have mentioned that. Also, besides the person I dealt with at check-in I have had positive experiences with the front desk staff. However, the chair issue is too much for me. I will be looking for an alternative when I'm in the area and I will be back often. I need a foot rest and my makeshift solution is not cutting it. I cannot comfortably work at the table because the chairs are too high. I appreciate the response. Thank you!

They do get busy, so consider a reservation. It's American pub food for the most part. Cheese curds are delicious. I love the pizzas and salads. They had a previous pizza guy and his pizzas were the best, sorry he's not there anymore, but they're still good. My husband likes their burgers and specials. My adult children like the sandwiches. Fish fry is excellent except for the coleslaw, it's spicy and I prefer either creamy or vinegar. We have tried many of the beers and enjoy them all. I typically get the crusher. Bartenders are always attentive when we sit at the bar. Servers are great, they are all so nice and remember regulars. Hostess is warm and welcoming, we even saw her at the grocery store and she said hi. They seem to have very little turnover of staff. Whenever we had any issues, we let the staff know and they corrected it promptly. They have a rewards club so we save on meals and a mug club to save on beer. The patio is a great spot in summer, there's a fire pit and you can bring dogs. They have trivia and other events regularly. We have tried their other Explorium locations and Wayfinder on the east side before a show - we had excellent service there too. The owners seem dedicated to the community and their staff. We'll keep coming back.

Food: Ordered my usual London Fog Tea Latte, with a little lavender, a little vanilla, and extra frothy. I would have liked it served in a mug, but they only offer paper cups. The drink was nicely made. I am used to having the tea steeped first and then finished with frothed milk. In this case, the milk was frothed first and the tea bag was added afterward. The result was a very frothy drink, but the tea flavor was a bit weaker than I prefer. Service: I arrived close to noon and the place was about half full. There was only one person working, taking orders, handling payment, and making drinks. Because of that, it took a while to place my order. That said, the person doing all the work was super friendly and helpful, and took the time to make the drink properly. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is relaxing, with lots of big windows and natural light. There are several different seating areas with various table and chair configurations. There is counter seating, high tops, and overstuffed leather chairs. It was a cold day, but the space was very comfortable inside. Everyone was having quiet conversations and being respectful of the environment. Overall, a nice visit. It would benefit from a bit more staffing to speed things up, and ceramic cups for hot drinks would be a great addition.
