On top of that, we couldn't be happier with our new family membership. My kids love the kids zone and frequently ask to go there. The swimming pool has been a great addition to our weekly routine, and the kids night out events have allowed my husband and I to have regular date nights for the first time in a decade. My kids are really excited to get signed up for YMCA summer camp, too. YMCA programs have really helped my family thrive. My only wish is that the kid zone would expand their hours. It's tough for working parents to have dinner and get there before they close on weekday evenings, and even harder on the weekends because they close at lunch time on Saturday and are closed on Sunday. And once the kids have finished their weekend sports engagements, there is just no time. I would be willing to pay more for after hours kid zone access!

The people in the class are really friendly and supportive and at different fitness levels so you never feel like you have to compete with people who are far more advanced. The owner and staff do not care for the safety of their patrons. I am appalled at how they conduct this gym and others should know to look elsewhere for a workout as there are plenty of safer gyms.

First of all, when I think of a tour, I expect to be "shown around" and not to have to take the initiative to walk around the place. The fact that they were just standing idly by without anything planned out to say speaks volumes to me about the management of this place. Also, to think I wouldn't notice them snickering about me behind my back while I was checking the bathroom? Crazy. They felt like a bunch of bullies. Idk why I would be comfortable signing up to this gym with such unprofessional behavior. However, my final straw, was how they answered my simple question. "How do you cancel?" Met with a response along the lines of "oh there's five ways, no four... one, you die, two military leave, three you move away and you can send in a letter, or four, a doctor's note" Holy sh*t, what a way to massively dodge a question. You can learn a lot about a person by telling them no, or in this case asking them a question they're definitely not gonna like or feel comfortable answering. And this response was very telling and all I needed to know about this place. It came across as very manipulative to me. And I took it as an implication that it would be really hard to cancel services once started. How hard is it to give me a REAL direct honest answer? It made me so angry to hear that. Obliterated my remaining trust in this person. Yeah, you could argue that it was a joke or whatever, but then that's CLEARLY unprofessional. And even if it was a joke it's not like he followed up with an actual direct answer. He completely avoided the question. If that's not an alarming MASSIVE red flag, then idk what is. I immediately ripped that business card they gave me the moment I sat inside my car. I would never want to sign up for this establishment here or anywhere else.
