Custard Spot is pretty popular, so expect a long line in the summer (but it's totally worth it). The menu is expansive, with so many creative options that it's hard to choose what to get. There are also plenty of tables and outdoor seating in the back, which makes it a nice place to sit and enjoy your dessert. We ordered the Dubai Chocolate Strawberries Parfait and the Nutella Biscuit Parfait. The portions were so generous that we couldn't even finish both. I didn't care for the biscuits in the Nutella Biscuit Parfait but it was still delicious. The Dubai Chocolate Strawberries Parfait was outstanding. I've been coming to this establishment for many many years, used to go to the high school and walk to this place. Until today. Came here to sit and eat all while there was not a single soul there. The lady who owns the white mustang walked out and told us we had to leave in a very HOSTILE MANNER, as we were finishing up..... "I have to clean up everyone's trash pizza boxes, I have to pay when it gets over filled, blah blah blah." Okay? We wernt going to leave trash and since it was SUCH A BIG DEAL we will take our trash and OUR BUSINESS elsewhere. Not even three seconds later she comes back out and screams at us again to leave in the most rude attitude she could give. I will definitely be telling everyone I know about how disgusting and disrespectful this interaction was. And to never recommend coming here. There are a thousand other ice cream places to go to and screamers and others will take my money. I'll never give my money to people who are so insolent and Discourteous to their customers. To the lady who was so arrogant, and Repulsive, keep picking up trash its the only thing your good at. After a nice dinner at a local place, we decided to stop for a treat. We normally stop somewhere else in the area, but their weekly flavors were not down our lane. I like that the Custard Spot has kids sundaes at really good prices, so you're not paying a lot for a big serving a kid can't finish. And so many options and flavors! Really disappointing experience. After waiting 45 minutes in line, my not even one year old niece accidentally dropped her ice cream right in front of the staff, and instead of showing any understanding or basic customer service, the owner made us pay again. I wasn't upset about the money -- it was just a ridiculous way to handle the situation. It's the principle. Being a small business, and specifically talking directly to the owner, she could've had some heart instead of taking another $4.45 from me. I let her keep the change since she clearly needs it. Warning this place is cash only... super annoying and you have to plan ahead if you don't normally carry cash. Also the line moved very slowly. Husband and I both got Gurnsey hand dipped ice cream and of course it was great since it's from Gurnsey. We liked how the cones had drip catchers. However the spoon was very pliable making it hard to eat the hand packed ice cream. Overall the whole experience was just ok but the Gurnsey ice cream was good. We will probably stick with our usual Dairy Queen unless we want the hand dipped ice cream. read more

I had the small banana split cup the first time and it was really good but the cup size looked more like a large. I even asked if it was a small and the lady said yes. The owner of this place is extremely rude to customers. Earlier this summer I went here and was sitting in my car with my sister eating our custard when she approached my car. She told us we needed to leave or the cops would come and give us a ticket since they had closed. You get anything added, such as chocolate chips, sprinkles etc. You also choose if you would like a regular cone or some of their more extravagant offerings that involve waffle cones dipped in chocolate with nuts or sprinkles. Anything you want they have. On the suggestion of the cashier I went with a regular cone of German chocolate custard. After settling at a table around back (which is a lovely, well tended area) I was surprised how flavorful my custard was. It was smooth and just enough to satisfy my taste buds demands. Custard spot has great custard and choices! You can get any flavor you want and not be limited to weekly flavors. It seems they have more choices on their menu vs. Erma's Frozen Custard. A plus as well is that they offer a dog friendly ice cream treat! I always do the birthday cake ice cream custard and they mix sprinkles in the batter. This way you don't have your sprinkles falling off your cone the whole time. It is refreshing and delish! Complaint wise is that it is a bit pricey, so I usually only go once a month to once every couple months as a treat. Also it is a bummer that the location is right on a busy street. Standing in line is somewhat close to the road and constantly hear and see cars zipping by. The area designated for sitting/eating in the back of the place is nice and decorated nicely. Frozen custard is one of my favorite summer treats. Luscious, creamy, and sweet, it is like soft ice cream on steroids. Custard Spot has very good custard and their custard is also customizable. They boast 24 flavors on the side of the building. That's not to say they have 24 different custard flavors on hand, rather they'll squirt flavoring into your vanilla (and maybe chocolate - I haven't asked) custard. I'm a sucker for mint flavored anything, so the creme de menthe flavored custard is easily one of my favorite things. You can even have them roll the custard in crushed oreo cookies for an added layer of deliciousness. More recently I had a waffle cone (which they claim is homemade) filled with peanut flavored custard that had Reese's peanut butter cup pieces mixed in. Oh man! This was wonderful. Slightly salty, very sweet, and just enough chocolate - perfect flavor combo. Added bonus, they hand you the cone in a little plastic cone carrier - no melted ice cream mess! It had slight hint of pumpkins but clearly lacked the traditional spices that one would expect. The rest of their menu looked pretty good. I'll probably go back for something different.
