We live nearby so this is our go to ice cream stop from the time the open until the season is over! The workers are always friendly & our order is always exactly what we ask for. They have a nice little covered area & also some picnic tables that aren't covered, so you can sit in the shade or in the sun. Since it's walk up, dogs are welcome which is always a bonus since we take our dogs everywhere! It's also right by the entrance of the metro park if you wanted to grab ice cream on the way home from or to the beach/park! read more

This place is absolutely amazing! Every time we come, it's always spotless and well-maintained. The young staff members are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always seem happy to help, which makes the experience even better. We tried the Churro Sundae and the Banana Split, and both were outstanding! The Churro Sundae was a perfect combination of warm, sweet, and delicious, while the Banana Split was loaded with flavor and made just right. The great service, clean atmosphere, and fantastic desserts keep us coming back. This has quickly become one of our favorite summer spots, and we will definitely be making this a weekend tradition all summer long. Highly recommend! read more

Good ice cream but don't ever expect them to stick to their business hours posted, this is the 3rd time in 2 weeks they have been closed over 30 minutes before they're supposed to. At least 8 other cars have pulled up disappointed and confused since I started typing this. read more

The ice cream , at least the hand dipped real ice cream is absolutely amazing however, this place will rip you off because on several occasions I have ordered either a medium or a large and it's the same exact portion and what they call "weight" every time , so do yourself a favor and only ever get the medium size . You'll save yourself three bucks every time and get the exact same amount of ice cream. read more

Just before summer ended my friend Eugene told me about this spot, so I took my lady for a frosted treat here after a bike ride at Metro Beach. First off, the spot looks cool enough and has good signage. I was really surprised at the long-ass wait though. We waited just shy of 30 minutes before getting to the front of the line. I found out there was only one worker on a Sunday evening at 6:45? WTF! Just before getting to the front of the line another worker showed up. I don't know if someone was filling in for someone else, if there was an emergency of some sort, or if the young girl just took an extended break, but whatever the reason when you are that busy there should be more employees, particularly in the summer months. Beyond that, the sweets were fairly good. They have a variety of unique flavors and types of ice cream (i.e., Dole Whip, Custard, etc.). While I would never drive out of my way for this spot, especially knowing how long I have to wait, I MAY go again if I'm in the area during a slow part of the day. And just in case you think the wait was abnormal, during my extended line visit I spoke with other customers, two of which were regulars, confirming that a line of this magnitude is quite common, thus making my appearance quite the opposite. read more

This is one of my favorite go to Ice cream places. Frosty boy has never disappointed me. Every time I stop there I always leave with a smile on my face. The employees are extremely friendly and smiley. Always taking down orders and ice cream appears at the other window rather quickly. They are always fully staffed and fast paced. The ice cream is always fantastic. No matter what I get or when I get it, it's always delicious. The outside seating is nice with options to sit in the shade or under an umbrella. I stopped in the other day and got a double-scoop cone. The two girls working behind the counter were friendly enough, but the guy sitting at a table seemed like he hated the world. Perhaps that was the owner of the place. Nice seating inside and out. Cash only!! No restrooms. No cracking jokes about it either. read more

Frosty Boy has been a favorite of mine since childhood. I remember all the neighborhood kids riding their bikes up here as often as we could. It does have new owners now, but if possible I believe they made the establishment even better. Please keep in mind there are no more interior seats, but with the setup they have outside it never seems to matter. :) read more

Ice cream/custard/whatever was decent. Better than say a Dairy Queen, but still no where near Erma's quality (in product and service.) Old fart behind the counter (owner?) was crabby, rude and it was obvious within a minute of being in the shop that we would never be returning. Only two pennies in the tip jar, kinda wish I would have stolen them. read more

My wife and I went there on Saturday for the first time since the new owners. We would not go there FOR YEARS because of the previous owner's attitude. And we only live a mile away so we had to go out of our way for ice cream. We saw on Facebook that owners had changed and we thought we'd try it. It was awesome! Happy faces, a new selection of choices and they redid the whole front of the building. I had the German Chocolate parfait and it was awesome! My wife had a hot fudge, caramel sundae...she loved it! Don't look at the old reviews...it's all new. Try them out. We will go back for sure! read more

The new owner is so nice! We live right down the street and we stopped going because the old owner was such a creep and a grouch. My husband and I literally visit the new and improved frosty boy almost daily now! The have the best floats! My husband loves the red raspberry! They redid the entire outside, it's so much more fresh and inviting. The menu is enormous and they have so many different things to choose from. The prices are comparable to dairy Queen and I can't wait to go back and try something different. I have my eye on the bumpy road sundae! Don't look at the old reviews, go see for yourself how great the new frosty boy is! :) read more

Used to go here when I was younger and have a lot of good memories however the people running it now are rude and there customer service sucks!!! My husband called there to find out what there hours were and if they can accommodate our Cub Scout troop for our outing and the man that answered told my husband that he was too busy and he hung up on my husband!!
