We went around 9:30 on a Saturday night and there was a bit of a line and it moved very slowly. Once we got up to the counter the young girl took our order and then made the ice cream and then took the payment. It was not very efficient. They need someone taking orders and payment and another person making orders. But the ice cream was good. I got a peanut butter sundae. if i could leave 0 views , i would . i just left there mind you it was 9:45 and the person with me asked is it okay i still order and the worker or whoever it was said we close in 5 min.. oh weird because it says 10pm they close . anyway, the person with me had ordered a banana split and i started asking if i could order a cookie dough blizzard he looked at me and said i'm only making the banana split and slammed the door shut on my face. The owner, has been pretty rude every time me and my family get ice cream. Today is the second time within a week that he just doesn't seem to want to help or don't want us there. For instance today when I came up to order my ice cream he was "what do you want?" and he will not even let me finish since he started to walk away. Then proceeds to turn around and says "what", so I repeated my order. Anyways after that he comes back and gives me the ice cream and I give him my card to pay and proceeds to slammed the window to close it. He gives me my card back and slammed the window back again. I proceeded to let him know that he has been acting rude a couple times and he just responded "yea I know" like if he is doing it on purpose plus not caring. Very disappointing since I see that he does treats his others customers very good. Is hard to explain to my kids when they ask or made comments of why he is like that! read more

I come here with my family sometimes multiple times a week for ice cream. You can't beat their custard. They also do a fun fresh custard flavor every week to go along with the standard vanilla and chocolate. This place is great and the staff is always kind. read more

Ice cream and frozen custard are ok. Cheap toppings. But more so, the issue is the service and the way they take orders-- extremely inefficient. Idk if they do it to deliberately have a line or if they just don't care about efficiency but it is pretty annoying when you're standing in line. The only reason we go there is out of convenience and my kids like to play in the field and playground behind there. The girls that take the orders are not very friendly either, and the owner seems kind of checked out or just doesn't care because they've been there a while. In any case, wouldn't recommend. Trailside dairy up the street has much better everything and 10x better service. read more

It is really good custard spot near our area. I really like that they have variety of options and on top of that they have a really nice portion size. The Jr size is enough for a grownup. The quality of ice cream is also really good. They have nice parking and sitting arrangements. They have bathrooms as well which I always look for my kids just in case. Great little place to stop in and grab some hand scooped ice cream! They accommodate the 7 of us fast with no wait which was awesome. We went in the pouring ass rain and the owner (I'm assuming) went into the back to get an umbrella and walked my wife to the car with our 6 month old baby!!! Very sweet of her to do that! We tried this custard shop for the first time tonight. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they carry Guernsey Dairy hard pack ice cream in about 20 flavors, in addition to their super creamy custard in 3 flavors. I was buying for a family of five so their diverse offerings (even one with a dairy allergy) were appreciated! It was easy to park and the service was pleasant and quick! read more

*I've come here several times and haven't had a problem when it comes to the custard.* I usually get the small sugar cone and it's more than enough and I've always been happy with it. The only thing I would recommend is that they introduce more new flavors for the custard, and if it's possible that they could make a website stating the list of ice creams available and flavor of the day for the custard, but I don't mind calling in and asking. The ice cream is what I've repeatedly had an issue with. Last time I came, I had the small sugar cone with 2 flavors, one being the birthday cake flavor. The girl behind the counter told her co-worker "the ice cream is really difficult to scoop I wonder why." Well after tasting the ice cream I knew exactly why it was hard to scoop: *it was freezer burned!* And I had asked the girl to put the ice cream in a cup since I would be driving, she said "yeah I figured you were driving since you have your keys" (which was random but whatever) but then handed me the cup and ice cream separately as I struggled to get my wallet and phone into my purse and get my keys out quickly so I wouldn't hold up the people behind me. It's a small issue but it doesn't take much common sense for her to realize that I asked her to put it in a cup, so I was expecting her to help me out a little instead of having me do it myself and just staring at me struggle to get my shit together lol. *The biggest issue I have with this place is the scoop sizes.* I just returned from this shop, and I really am not happy. Again I ordered a small sugar cone with 2 scoops of ice cream, and the girl scooping it did not even try to make a full scoop. I kid you not, I finished the ice cream in 5 bites, and I'm pissed that I paid money for it. I even asked her if she could put it into the waffle cone instead because I was not about to pay for it looking like that (and she overstuffed the cones for the large and obnoxious family in front of us) but the place was a little crowded (but there were 5 people working so the wait wasn't long) and she started walking away from us before coming back and saying "is that all? Your total is $5" (we got 2 cones). The owner was there and I wanted to show him the cone and say "do you think this is acceptable" but they were busy with the window customers (which to me is a bad idea because they seem frantic trying to deal with the window and walk-in customers) and I didn't want to bother them. I was a fan of this place and was a repeat customer; I love supporting mom n pop shops but they've just lost me as a loyal customer. I'm really disappointed as the service has been less than great the more I come here, and I will not be returning. I'd rather just buy cartons of ice cream from Meijer right nearby (it's basically the same thing) or drive a few miles for Costco's cheap and delicious froyo. *= important points, because this review is long lol) read more

This is our favorite local ice cream shop! John, the owner, and his wife are always so friendly. We love the "small town relationship" they have with their customers! And their ice cream is always so fresh and we love their weekly custard flavors. Today we had strawberry and vanilla twist which tasted like a fresh glass of strawberry milk! They have cute atmosphere inside and outdoor seating for nice days! I definitely recommend stopping in! We only wish they were open year round as we even love ice cream even on the coldest and snowiest of days :) read more
