Again if I would have got what I wanted I really wouldn't care. Let's start with the quality of the cake. OMG! first of all who ever baked the cake isn't a baker. The middle was moist but about 1in of the cake towards the outside was hard as a rock. We literally had to dig to get the good part of the cake. The chocolate was so lite didn't even taste like a good chocolate cake. I asked for chocolate mousse and that was the weakest mousse ever had no volume nor fluff. So safe to say the cake itself was bad. We would have been better going to fresh market or sams. Now the Embellishments and decor was so out dated and it had no pop nor anything extravagant look. Mind you I paid $242 because I wanted a show stopper cake for my sons 1st bday. I was extremely disappointed with not only the quality of cake but beyond disappointed with the art work. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Nice people but it takes more then being nice to run a successful bakery. They also added a smash cake for pictures when my son went to obviously smash it the cake was rock hard with frost bite. My mouth just dropped. Now the owner did give me a discount in the morning because the cake wasn't done and ready at the time agreed on. Honestly I could have looked past all that. What I can't look past is the quality, lack of decor and professionalism. We will not be purchasing our wedding cake nor husbands retirement cake from here this follow year.

The lady at the register was extremely sweet. She answered all of our questions and made suggestions as to what we were in the mood for. The variety and selection is HUGE. We ended up deciding on dessert bars, a cinnamon roll, a few cookies, and some cheese straws. Just as it did years ago it hit the spot. Everything was delicious. As a girl with family in Charleston the cheese straws are amazing! Many may think that this is just a local bakery to order cakes from, but it is also a delicious bakery with fresh baked goods every day. My friend took two bites and into the bin it went. The customer service was relatively good and everyone was nice. Second star. However, when I asked about a cone, I was told there were "cake cones" and "a waffle bowl." I asked what was the difference in price. I was told they both cost $0.50. I selected the waffle bowl. When I got to the register, the cashier moved quickly to the pay screen but I asked to go back to the itemized screen. They weren't the same price and the waffle cones are actually $0.95. Which is fine, it just wasn't what I was told. I then noticed another $0.30 charge. I asked what that charge was and the cashier said anytime some uses a credit card it just automatically adds that fee. She then said I could avoid the fee by using cash. At the time I said "no problem, I'll use cash next time," tipped the cashier a $1.00, and settled up. But it's likely I'll never patron this establishment again. There are too many decent ice cream places and the cheesecake was truly one of the saddest things I have ever seen.

The coffee is delicious. We were taken by the extra, extraordinarily friendly Emily at the front counter. The reception is clean and fresh with a wide ranging menu clearly posted; the dining room is a convenient place to meet up with friends. We noticed that a lot of people were grabbing a breakfast treat and coffee and taking it to go. The ambience is bright and cheerful like everyone with whom we interacted.
