**LEGIT!** I originally came here looking for somewhere reasonably priced to upgrade the sound in my 2025 Bronco, but I also wanted to move quickly on a good dash cam system installation that I have been lagging on. Lucky for me, I was helped by Luis and it's safe to say HE HOOKED IT UP! I'm honestly glad I trusted his recommendations and his work. I originally been looking into the Wolfbox 3-channel system, specifically because its popular with the bronco but after explaining to him what I wanted and the kind of coverage I was looking for, Luis recommended the Acumen M4 Quad instead, It gave me four camera channels with coverage for the front, rear AND both sides of my Bronco. I've been sideswiped before, so having that extra coverage was a huge selling point for me. Now when I look at my Bronco and know I have cameras covering all four sides, I genuinely feel more secure no matter how crazy LA drivers / traffic gets. The finished setup is seriously PRISTINE* My rearview mirror is now a digital display for the camera system, and Luis installed cameras underneath both side mirrors that integrate with my turn signals. When I signal, the camera for that side comes up on the display so I can actually see what's next to me which is better than most new-age stock set-ups. But what really impressed me was how CLEAN the installation came out. Look at the pictures! Nothing looks like it was just thrown onto my car. Luis even CUSTOM PRINTED a mount specifically fitted for the spare on my Bronco to get the best possible view of my rear camera. That attention to detail alone showed me I had someone working on my vehicle who actually knew what he was doing. I'm VERY particular about who I let touch my car and I ask a lot of questions. Luis was very knowledgeable, explained my different options, and gave me the information I needed to make my own informed decision without pressuring me into buying something I wasn't comfortable with. Another thing I really liked was the support after the installation. Luis explained that as an Acumen distributor, if I ever have an issue with the camera system or need help with a warranty concern, I can work directly with him instead of having to figure everything out through some random third party or dealing with some long over-the-phone wait to go through some customer service representative. We all know what a pain and waste of time that can be. I really like knowing I can go back to the same person who actually installed it and knows exactly how everything was set up to fix whatever issue may arise with my equipment. The entire installation was completed within one day, the price was very reasonable for the amount of work involved, and I ended up getting MORE functionality than I originally planned for. I'm still planning on doing my stereo upgrade, so I'll definitely be coming back when I'm ready for phase two. For now, this camera installation alone was worth leaving the review. Luis hooked it up, the work is clean, everything functions exactly how I wanted it to and more, and most importantly, I feel better protected driving my Bronco. The pictures speak for themselves. Once again, I had some great service right after Christmas. I upgraded my head unit, but was getting my butt kicked doing it right, so I came to custom car audio. They were able to get my plug and play unit in in about 30 minutes. Sound is great and the work was clean. This place is awesome. I had a flat tire recently that caused a ton of shaking / jolting in my car. Those shakes also caused the apple carplay receiver I have in my car to just stop working. No power. No screen. Nothing. I had looked up how to potentially fix it myself and after a few minutes of research, I figured it was just easier to take it to a professional. They did some things / reset some things and what not and after 30 minutes, everything is working perfectly and only out the repair fee (as opposed to getting a new receiver or whatever else). Called after a quick Yelp search to see if they could install an Apple CarPlay upgrade to my 2005 Toyota Corolla S series (the Sony XAV-AX6000). They said no problem and told me to head over. Since I had all the parts from Crutchfield, they did it for a fantastic price, had it done in under an hour, and it looks and works great! The speakers for my mini van stopped working so texted custom car audio via Yelp and they responded in a timely manner. They informed me that they can take a look and charged a reasonable fee. They did a thorough check and saw that the fuse was working and that the wires were grounded and that it maybe something more related to an update that was required. Although this issue seems to be more complicated, custom car audio was very helpful and friendly and didn't care that I wasn't there to tint or install audio accessories. read more

These guys all seem too cool for the room -- that doesn't prevent them from being pleasant, professional and tops at what they do. I love the no-nonsense approach to dropping a car off, receiving a quote, then having the job done with little or no delay. In my case, they identified the problem (the amplifier in my I3 had died), ordered the part, and assured me it would arrive in two or three days. The next day, they called to say the part was already in. They installed it in less than an hour, and in no time I was back in my car, jammin' to my favorite tunes ("Who let the Dogs Out" by Baja Men, and "Kiss from a Rose" by Seal) on repeat. In all seriousness, ethical auto shops and reputable repair people are hard to come by. When You find folks doing right, without cons, false promises, unjustifiably high prices and long waits, if you're like me, you not only add them to your flip phone's contact list, but you also take the time to write a positive review, one that hopefully persuades prospective customers to give Custom Car Audio a call. If you are an old man or a woman, go somewhere else! Everyone agrees that time is money, and no one has time to waste. This place is a huge waste of time! On top of bad service, bait and switching, misleading diagnosis's. Asked and paid for an Alpine Bluetooth radio, they installed a Pioneer. Real business owners know their inventory. They're selling and restocking regularly. An honest businesses would have checked inventory before writing a bill of sale. Further, I have both brands (Alpine & Pioneer) installed in other vehicles. Alpine is a better product and costs about $100 more. I was not told in advance nor was there a a price deferential (money back) given. They also blamed my existing amp for the feedback through the speakers, sold me another, and of course the amp was not the problem. Finally, when you spend over $700, you don't expect to have to make four repeat trips to resolve the same issue regarding feedback through the speaker. And beware, don't ask too many questions or get upset, they get defensive immediately. They have no idea what good service is or what the concept of "the customer is always right" means. They are an insult and do a tremendous disservice to the community. Saw other reviews that detail much of the same experience, definitely should have Yelped beforehand. --------------- By the way, at some point they may say "under new management", like they did in 2011 & 2014, they're not. Just want to say thanks to the guys at custom car audio . Ice for hooking it up on the price and Geo for installing my killer sound system I went from stock system to a new 2017 sound system and using my old school fosgate amp and my 10 punch woofers... this shit bumps !!!!!! Well I have an update to this post it's been about 2 1/2 yrs after I had them install my system. Something went wrong as I removed my seats because that's the only way to get to the equipment, surprise I though for sure they would do a better job as in strapping wires and or tucking them away or at least crimp the connectors or ground the system and or install a fuse link to the amps all the did was install a trip surge protector up by the battery.... payed a lot for some shitty ass work. I know I don't drive a lambo or BMW or Benz. But at least take some fucken pride in your work ...... or at least be reasonable to work something out customers are what make your business grow...... check these out you be the judge ........... Great team of guys, but blew out the stereo l brought for them to install. They did some other work for me on the vehicle which came out nice so hence the two stars. I knew this as I drove down to the stereo manufacturing plant located down south and they inspected my vehicle and told me. Apparently it was common when it wasn't installed properly as they took a look at the installation.. unfortunately that mistake cost me another hundred dollars, my gas down south, and taking time out of my work day down there to get it working correctly ... Fantastic service! As many times as I've drove by this place over the years,I never thought I would actually end up being a customer. I have a 2002 Acura and my car stereo only came with the CD player and I had to use a cassette tape to have access to an Aux cord. I thought it was time to get a little something new and upgrade the whip, I bought a pioneer stereo and used yelps multi response option which allowed me to send one message to several companies. All of them responded in no time but the manager Ice his response was the best one, he offered to service my car with the necessary parts for $80 While AL's and ED auto tried to charge me almost $500 for the same exact thing, such a rip off, I would have never. Ice said I can walk in no appointment necessary. The following day I drove right up there, the only issue is parking which is why they get 4 stars from me, they were so busy cars were flowing out the driveway. We discussed, he said leave the car for a couple hours, I had left so they called when it was done it only took 2 1/2 hours which I don't think is bad considering all the cars that were before me. They were even nice enough to screw my brand new license plate cover on, I paid in cash which is the way to go to avoid extra fees but they do accept card. I drove off and have been in love with my new radio ever since. Now looking at their other services I would like to return to get all my windows tinted, I highly recommended this neighborhood auto customs. read more

I purchased a Kenwood head unit for my car online, and brought it to Custom Auto for installation. Everything was cleanly installed and they were able to retain all of the factory features, including my backup camera (after other shops had tried to sell me a new backup camera instead). They encountered some unexpected issues with parts during the installation (at no fault of their own), but they still took their time and got everything right. The final price was in line with what I had been quoted over the phone. It's pretty easy for me to recommend them for stereo work! read more

First was a CB/H radio antenna installation, then an update to one of the radios, and now hard wiring the dash cam because it was using the cigarette lighter that I wanted to use for other purposes. It was really hard to find a place that could install a sub woofer inside a SLK 350 Mercedes truck considering it's a small space because the top has to come down. But my guys over at custom car audio took care of me they installed my 12 inch sub woofer and amp and was actually able to get it in the trunk and I still have all my trunk space. I love this place. Horrible job performed on my car, my car was dirty when I picked it up took 6 hours to finish tinting windows on my car. Payed 190$ expected great service, never coming back do not come unless you want to pay for horrible service and appearance. I left the shop got home my car door did not open had to return for them to fix it, and they still left smudges on all my doors. Do not come here i repeat. I don't even think they put the correct tint. After communicating with the manager he took care of the issue personally. Was probably just mis communication. Went here to get the tint on my windows and to get my sound system installed. Was referred to ICE by my uncle who is a frequent there and I must say his referral did not let me down. Tint: Ice let me know about the two different types of tint they offered and let me know with a personal testament that the carbon was the way to go. I went with 5% on the back and 20% on the front and man I must say it looks amazing. There were zero bubbles in the tint, the sign of a true tint master and it was all done with great precision The installation on my stereo was done phenomenally as well.
