I created a Yelp project to gather quotes for dash cam installation. I received a wide range of…read moreestimates--some quite high. A few shops offered hardwiring installation, but that seemed expensive and unnecessary for my setup. I simply wanted someone to install a dash cam I had purchased on Amazon. Using Yelp's search feature, I looked for local shops and came across Emily's Tinting Stereo, which happened to be very close to home. I called the day before to confirm their hours, and the gentleman on the phone told me to come in at 9 a.m. when they opened. I arrived 10 minutes early, and to my surprise, the shop was already open--always a good sign when a business is ready ahead of schedule. I was greeted by a friendly old-school rocker-type guy who was eager to help. I showed him the dash cam and he gave both it and my vehicle a quick inspection. He confirmed he could install it properly. We agreed on a fair price, and he quoted an estimated time of one to two hours to ensure everything was installed smoothly. I walked home--about a 30-minute walk--and by the time I arrived, the rocker dude called to let me know the job was already done, which was a pleasant surprise. My wife gave me a ride back, and I picked up the car. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the installation and the speed of service. However, I do have a couple of points of constructive feedback: 1. Payment: When I went to pay with a card, the agreed-upon price increased by about $10. While not a dealbreaker, it would've been nice to know that ahead of time. 2. Yelp Discount: I asked about the 10% Yelp discount advertised on their page, but was told it couldn't be honored because the boss wasn't on-site. Again, not a big issue for me, but future customers should be aware the discount might not always be available. 3. Interior Care: My vehicle has a high-gloss center console that scratches easily. When I got it back, I noticed some scuffs where parts had been placed during the install. I understand this kind of thing can happen, especially with poorly designed interiors, but I'd recommend a bit more care in the future to avoid avoidable damage. That said, I still had a good experience. The job was done quickly, pricing was fair, and the dash cam works perfectly. I appreciate the professionalism and overall service--and would consider returning in the future.

Also the screw cap cover was popped out got loose and eventually fell out and I wasn't told about this but I managed to put it back in place. I'm not fully sure if these damages looked like this already, so please correct me if I'm wrong. I take good care of my car, so I was a bit concerned when I noticed them. The audio sounds great now and the old raspy noise is gone, which I appreciate. I also didn't like that the old replaced parts were left in my car instead of being thrown away. The workers were chill and the price was affordable, but I just wanted to leave honest feedback for future improvement.

I think that walk ins are accepted but remember it takes about 2 hours so you can't just show up right before they close. Personally I would just call to make an appointment as they accept same day appointments if available. Great pricing and fabulous, quick service. 5 stars all the way!

At first, I was a little confused when I saw that I was pulling up to a residential, but came to find that his business is setup in his lot at home! I arrived at 3:30 pm, and the work was finished by 7:30 pm. **LEGIT!** I originally came here looking for somewhere reasonably priced to upgrade the sound in…read moremy 2025 Bronco, but I also wanted to move quickly on a good dash cam system installation that I have been lagging on. Lucky for me, I was helped by Luis and it's safe to say HE HOOKED IT UP! I'm honestly glad I trusted his recommendations and his work. I originally been looking into the Wolfbox 3-channel system, specifically because its popular with the bronco but after explaining to him what I wanted and the kind of coverage I was looking for, Luis recommended the Acumen M4 Quad instead, It gave me four camera channels with coverage for the front, rear AND both sides of my Bronco. I've been sideswiped before, so having that extra coverage was a huge selling point for me. Now when I look at my Bronco and know I have cameras covering all four sides, I genuinely feel more secure no matter how crazy LA drivers / traffic gets. The finished setup is seriously PRISTINE* My rearview mirror is now a digital display for the camera system, and Luis installed cameras underneath both side mirrors that integrate with my turn signals. When I signal, the camera for that side comes up on the display so I can actually see what's next to me which is better than most new-age stock set-ups. But what really impressed me was how CLEAN the installation came out. Look at the pictures! Nothing looks like it was just thrown onto my car. Luis even CUSTOM PRINTED a mount specifically fitted for the spare on my Bronco to get the best possible view of my rear camera. That attention to detail alone showed me I had someone working on my vehicle who actually knew what he was doing. I'm VERY particular about who I let touch my car and I ask a lot of questions. Luis was very knowledgeable, explained my different options, and gave me the information I needed to make my own informed decision without pressuring me into buying something I wasn't comfortable with. Another thing I really liked was the support after the installation. Luis explained that as an Acumen distributor, if I ever have an issue with the camera system or need help with a warranty concern, I can work directly with him instead of having to figure everything out through some random third party or dealing with some long over-the-phone wait to go through some customer service representative. We all know what a pain and waste of time that can be. I really like knowing I can go back to the same person who actually installed it and knows exactly how everything was set up to fix whatever issue may arise with my equipment. The entire installation was completed within one day, the price was very reasonable for the amount of work involved, and I ended up getting MORE functionality than I originally planned for. I'm still planning on doing my stereo upgrade, so I'll definitely be coming back when I'm ready for phase two. For now, this camera installation alone was worth leaving the review. Luis hooked it up, the work is clean, everything functions exactly how I wanted it to and more, and most importantly, I feel better protected driving my Bronco. The pictures speak for themselves.
