The service I came in for specifically was for Apple CarPlay unit with a physical volume knob in my 2014 Honda Civic, which isn't always easy to find. They went out of their way to source one, and the installation went smoothly. Good value too- this is definitely not something I could have tackled on my own. I did my homework. Lots of it. From several shops, I narrowed it down to two. And from the two, I didn't go with the cheapest option, I went with the one who felt most reliable. Reliability in the motor service industry is a HARD thing to find. Lots of salespeople. And then, there was Alonso. He seemed very educated in what I needed, accommodating in the timeline, and above all, re-assuring of their commitment to quality. They did an amazing job but I did have an issue with the quality of one of the cameras installed. I called back and he was quick to jump on the issue and set up a next time to bring the car over to replace it. He's been very communicative, always well-mannered and in good spirits. I initially liked the work the team did on my car and the owner, Alonso, was very thorough about explaining the work performed and cost. I had planned on being a returning customer and have custom wrap done on my car, interior lighting, and a few other things. I had even started referring different friends to the business who also wanted to have work done on their cars. Sadly it didn't turn out this way, as I randomly got a text message on February 27, 2023 from his wife suddenly banning me from returning since apparently they had marital problems and decided to involve me in their personal lives. I was absolutely blindsided and quite frankly disappointed at how Alonso and the "co-owner" went about their issues. I wanted to let this go however since his team replaced my car's dash screen, CarPlay system, tinted my windows, the sound system has been absolute trash for taking calls. Callers say they either can't hear me or hear an intolerable echo that makes it hard to listen to what I'm saying. I have not been able to have clear calls ever since the work they did. So l was left with an unusable phone audio system in my Mercedes that required an added expense since I clearly am "not welcome" to fix the crap they did to my car in the first place. read more

What can I say - Evolution Motorsports LA is the place to go for any light modifications you want to get done into your car. I called the shop about 2 weeks ago, and directly spoke with Alonso - the owner of the shop. I told him what I wanted done; install some ditch lights onto the hood of my car with lights and brackets that I will be providing for the install. Alonso gave me a VERY fair price and assured me full satisfaction. I called 2 other shops and they were going to charge a bit more, so I was set on going with Evolution motorsports. Fast forward to this week. I finally have the lights that I ordered and am ready to get these bad boys installed. I call Alonso on Monday and remind him that I spoke with him before about getting the lights installed. No problem - He gets me booked for Friday morning and honors the price he told me two weeks ago. I arrive at the shop punctually at 9am and am greeted and am brought to the waiting area where there is complimentary Wifi, water, and coffee. I chill out there in the mean time - brought my laptop as there is really nothing near by in walking distance. They get working on my car and it takes about 2 hours. After about an hour Alonso checks with me on where I would like the switch installed. I see the spots he recommends and I decide to get with the area he suggests so long there is no complications and to let me know if there is and we can find another spot. No issues with the spot. Installation is finished and Alonso tells me to check it out and he answers all questions I had about the install. I ask him if we can change the angle of the lights installed and he gets that done for me. Product was installed cleanly, and the lights and wiring looks OEM. No issues that I've noticed arise, and my car is running how it was before I brought it to them. Alonso disclosed to me the installation has a lifetime warranty if anything goes wrong with it or it starts to fault on its own. Shop is professional, and based off this service experience - I'd even recommend them for Window tinting, ceramic, and ppf services. All in all I left the shop feeling stoked. I brought my 2006 Honda in for tint, a CarPlay screen installation with a backup cam, and a dash cam, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, Alonso and his team treated my car with the same care and attention as the Jeeps and Teslas around it. These guys are the best! I took my 2025 Tundra 1794 edition for sound deadening because I hated the rattling within the truck. Gave them a call and gave me an amazing quote by the owner Alonso. He also sent me picture and videos through the process and went above and beyond by not only adding sound deadening to the door frame but also added it to the back of the plastic portion of the door that detaches. I had such a great experience at Evolution Motorsports! I called to request availability for a dash cam (front and rear) installation and I was offered an appointment very quickly (next day or following day after that). Upon arrival, I was greeted by Alonso and immediately felt very welcomed. Alonso is very friendly, honest, and genuine! I could immediately tell that I made the right choice in coming here versus other businesses just by Alonso's mannerisms and professionalism. He truly cares about his customers. There is a waiting room area where I waited and it was comfortable. I was even offered tea, coffee, water and candy. I did see a WiFi sign up as well for use. Side note- but Mercado La Paloma is nearby (walking distance 10 minutes) so it might be a place to check out as well if you find yourself waiting. The installation for the dash cam was about an hour and a half. I ended up forgetting the SD card but Alonso was very understanding and had me come in later that day to finish the installation process (another ten minutes). One thing to note is that the street in which Evolution Motorsports is located at is a bit busy at times. However, Alonso guided me out which was very helpful. I also did provide the dash cam, the hard wiring kit, and SD card (ordered from Amazon). The service was installation only and I think it was a very reasonable price. I had opened the dash cam box and knew that I needed help installing so I'm very thankful I found this place. Overall, I would highly recommend Evolution Motorsports. Needed a front + rear dashboard + LTE unit installed in my new car. I installed my previous dash camera myself and did not want to go through it again (also didn't want to allow my husband to attempt it for the sake of our marriage. LOL) so I asked a couple of shops and Alonso was the most responsive and had the best pricing. I wanted to make sure I found a shop that understood my concerns about the system possibly draining my battery (my car was known for parasitic drain). I arrived early and he accommodated me right away. He checked in with me on the placement of the cameras and got to work. It took awhile but we got to stay in a comfy waiting room with snacks and beverages. Everything was installed perfectly and cleanly, hardwire and all. He also made sure I had the correct settings so that the camera wouldn't drain my battery. Haven't had a single problem since I had the dashcam system installed weeks ago. Alonso is very professional and accommodating. Hope to be back soon to get tint installed and do a chrome delete. Update: Came back and got Rayno Nano Ceramic tint all around. I've always done 3M but I was impressed with the what Rayno had to offer. It was easy to make an appointment with Alonso for the installation and he explained to me the different products and their features. He made a great recommendation for the % of tint for each window and it was perfect. I was glad I didn't go as dark as I initially wanted because it would have been too dark in a covered garage. Installation all went smoothly and my car was even cleaner than I had brought it in. I've had the tint for 3 weeks now and I love the privacy and cooling that the tint brings. My car stereo quit working due to an electrical issue that happened when I installed a new battery. I found 1 dead fuse but replacing it still didn't fix the problem. I needed a trusted professional to troubleshoot the system + get my stereo working again. Evolution Motorsports does alot of high-end systems but they were happy to work on my Hyundai's stock stereo + solve the problem. Alonso found the issue quickly while I waited--a burnt out power supply for the amp. I gave him the go ahead + he got it all fixed in the amount of time it takes to get lunch. Some less trustworthy place could've tried to upsell me by telling me the whole amplifier was blown + cost me alot of money. But Alonso simply found the problem, was truthful with me + fixed the issue quickly at a very fair price. How great is that? I plan to come back here when I decide to upgrade my stock stereo in the hopefully near future. They have alot of nice systems there they install or you can bring in a stereo for installation--just call ahead for info. They also do car security systems, beautiful car wraps, window tints, tricked out car interior lighting + other custom work to give your car that custom touch to stand out in the crowd. Don't worry, they work on all cars + trucks, not just the high end rides. * They don't have a parking lot outside the building. Car work is done inside. Just pull in to the driveway, if u can, or just park at the end of the driveway then go inside to find Alonso. Parking can be tight out front but they will take car of you once you're there.
