Dropped off a full, fully enclosing mattress layer for a Sleep on Latex mattress. I needed it back by a certain day b/c I had hired someone to help put it back on. The mattress weighs 100 lbs. and the layer/mattress "wrap" is an integral part of the mattress. It's not a "mattress cover." First, they said "we'll call you" which they did not. I couldn't get anyone on the phone, so showed up. "Oh!" she said, and handed me a plastic linen bag with what appeared to be it. I got home and the worker I'd hired showed up. We removed it from the bag. The entire bottom of it was missing. They'd separated/fully unzipped it and failed to return the bottom piece. So here I'd hired this guy and we could not put back this $150 cover. I tried calling Custom FDC. I left a message. No one ever called me back. I had to order a new one from the manufacturer. The mattress's warranty is void if you do not have that piece on the mattress, all the way around. I tried calling, again. I drove down there, again. "Oh!!" She runs in the back and comes back with the missing piece. So...they'd figured it out but couldn't be bothered trying to contact me? I explained how I'd needed that piece to put the bed/mattress together and this had cost me quite a bit of money and would be costing me quite a bit more. Hundreds more. She just laughed nervously, handed me a $20. I said she was being penny-wise, pound-foolish, but I don't think that got through. Very disappointing experience. read more

Located in the Chesterbrook mall which sadly lost its anchor grocery store a while ago. The whole mall is rumored to be closing eventually, and senior living may replace it. I hope Crystal Custom Cleaner moves close by! Their work is flawless, everything my wife and I have brought to be cleaned has been perfect. They even do minor alterations. They are organic. Not sure what that means in a dry cleaner, but there you go. I don't know how their prices compare, possibly a bit more expensive than average, but you get what you pay for. Also, the reception area is clean. I have visited many run-down dry cleaners that don't inspire much confidence, but this place is great! read more

Save yourself time, money, and frustration and take your business anywhere but here. To call them incompetent is a compliment. On numerous occasions, I ended up with dry cleaning belonging to others. Upon returning, the response was "it happens". The last straw was when they purportedly destroyed one of my shirts while cleaning, but refused to return the damaged shirt to me or fairly compensate me for my loss. I suspect that they gave my order to someone else, and unlike me, they did not return it. There are lots of other choices for dry cleaning within 5 miles of this location. Great customer service and great cleaners. They cleaned and preserved my wedding dress quickly and with great attention to detail. I recently brought them 2 delicate baptism dresses. One was 10 years old and one was over 30 years old - both were significantly yellowed. In one week they were brand new white. There was a difference in the price I was quoted and the price I was charged by $10, but they were able to explain why it was slightly more expensive (extra layers contained in one of the dresses that he did not see when it was dropped off - and the dresses required 3 washes to get the yellow out). I am always happy with the service and the owners take great pride in their business and the work they do. Highly recommend. read more
