I came across this pizza truck on Fort Apache and Blue Diamond while on a bike ride and decided to give it a try. When I went up to order, I saw that the employees weren't wearing masks. I wish the employees would consider the health and safety of their customers amidst a pandemic. I had to ask them to put on their masks, which they did begrudgingly and incorrectly (the masks did not cover their noses). The pizzas were around $15 which is a bit pricey. They were out of the Spicy Beef, so I decided to get the Pepperoni instead. After ordering, the pizza came out promptly (4-5 min). It was a decent size, shareable between two people. It tasted fine, but definitely not $15+ worth. I asked for jalapeños as a topping, but they merely sliced a jalapeño in two pieces and set them in the center of the pizza. I didn't realize how difficult it is to find a good cheese pie out here until I stumbled upon Custom Pizza Truck during Food Truck Frenzy. Their pizza is insanely addictive and by far one of the best pizzas I've had here in Vegas. They serve authentic Neapolitan style pizza and have an actual wood-burning stove inside the truck, which in my opinion adds a nice flavor to the dough. I've tried most of their pies and my favorite is the Chef's Special which has pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, basil, and topped with their house blend seasoning... so delicious! Their prices are reasonable especially for the quality and taste. The actual truck is a sight to see, it's basically a kitchen on wheels and the expansive glass doors allow you to watch your pizza being made from start to finish. Their customer service is amazing; the staff is always friendly especially the owner Chef Bart. I follow this truck wherever they roam in Vegas; I visit them at least once a week to satisfy my pizza cravings and I am never disappointed! Damn instagram!!! LoL..... I was scrolling and I saw an ad for this delicious pizza. I saw they were not to far from us, so we decided to pay the trucks visit. The truck is really cute and very clean. The black board has their menu and it details their pizzas. The truck is also open on the side, so you can see your pizza being made and placed in the oven. I visited CPT at EDC at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The wait was long, but since every vendor at a festival is overwhelmed I didn't take the time needed to place and receive my order into consideration for this review. I also respect that since this is a gigantic festival, limiting the menu options was a reasonable consideration. However... they offered only ONE type of pizza; cheese. That's it. No other options were available, not even pepperoni. Seeing the name "Custom Pizza Truck" got me excited for a more, well, customized experience. The pizza itself was undercooked, had a thin layer of cheese, and sauce that tasted to me exactly like the sauce from a can of Chef Boy-ar-dee. The pizza dough was soft, and did not have a great crust. They charged $20 for what seemed to be an 8 inch, non-customized pizza. It was severely disappointing. What made things worse was that there were probably 20-30 other pizza stalls around the festival that offered large slices of either cheese or pepperoni for $8. These were far better cooked, tastier, and offered at least two choices for far less! Custom Pizza Truck was severely disappointing, albeit in a high-volume, festival setting. If there are any other pizza options around, consider those instead. CPT should not have bothered offering a Pizza Truck at a festival that was already lousy with pizza options. read more

The only reason this truck gets a 2 star is because it is impressive on its own with no food being judged. But this site isn't for looks it's about the whole package and unfortunately this truck doesn't have it. You'd think someone who spend $300,000 on a beautiful 900* wood fire pizza truck would make sure the food going out upheld the standard. This pizza was incredibly sub pay for the $20 I spent on it. I've always wanted to try this truck. I've attended many events they were at and always had mixed reviews from the patrons eating their pizza. More negative comments rather than the positive but I figured it's because the style of pizza isn't what most would expect. A Neapolitan pizza should be almost charred on the outside, slightly firm bottom, chewy and meant to be eaten within minutes of receiving. With that being said my pizza could've stayed in the oven for another 40-60 seconds. I've eaten pizza all over, I love pizza! I've worked for an amazing pizzeria that had multiple oven styles and am quite educated on the process and different kind of cooks. In addition to it being slightly underdone the sauce only tasted like San Marzano no other flavor, cheese was flavorless and the pepperoni wasn't much to write home about either. From the guest experience with the blah employee taking the order, to the disappointment when eating the pizza I'd happily say I would not support this business again. All in all save your 20$ and head to the pizza spot on Ogden and 3rd you'll definitely get more for your money and be satisfied in the end. read more

I assumed for that price it's a large. One guy, not wearing his mask, doesn't even have one visible while cooking, gestures with his hands at a size that indicates nearly a full size pizza. Then he tells me it's "six pieces" as if that means anything. I ask how long it will take. Another guy says "Five minutes." I order a cheese pizza. The maskless guy offers me some sort of cheese upsell. For a pizza. Bro, just make a good cheese pizza. Don't upsell. Your regular FIFTEEN DOLLAR cheese pizza needs extra cheese? I pay for the pizza. Their payment system drives you to tip BEFORE you've had any pizza or service and the tip suggestions start at $2. Kinda sucks since I don't know whether I like it or not or have experienced the service. I tip anyway. Who wants to piss off their pizza maker who hovers over you as you select a tip. As I pay the guys says, "Should be ready in ten minutes." So much for that five minute offer. At around ten minutes I get the pizza. Small, super basic, nothing special. Somewhere I feel like Little Caesars is laughing. Not worth the wait, not worth $18+ out the door with tax and tip. Whoa, this Margherita had me at the first opening of the box. before I could even see it, the aroma of fresh Basil, dancing with the scent of san marzano tomatoes carried through by the hint of the direct fermented dough, said HELLOO...and I was hooked. Technically, it was excellently done. The wood-fired crust held up under the ingredients like a champ with a good amount of leoparding and just enough char on the bottom. Ingredients were fresh and well portioned throughout without being overwhelming. Bart, the owner is a super chill and down to earth dude. A gracious host who entertained us with a heart to heart chit chat while slinging about 10 pizzas in 15 minutes off his truck. So today we were going to have pizza for dinner anyhow so we looked at Yelp and this place ranked 4. I am pleasantly surprised. Amazing PIzza from a truck. It's a cross between a Setabella and a Blaze Pizza. The crust a bit cooked yet soft and enjoyable. I enjoyed the Spicy Beef which came with a sauce, ground beef and jalapeños.
