Decided to check this place out and to run some ideas by them for custom work. Pulled in and thought they were pretty busy but it turned out to be a location for a Pokegym where players were waiting for a raid. I get the whole being a business thing but they decided to be jerks and kicked them away from their store front. Now there are no cars in front and seems like a pretty barren business. Who needs the extra attention brought to it by a game? Poor attitude equals poor customer service. Going to research my projects elsewhere. read more

I had a fantastic experience with this company! After picking the brain of a local landscaper about a custom boulder idea I had, he recommended Custom Stone. I called ahead and stopped in on a Saturday, picked out a few boulders I thought would work and the following Monday Alison got the "boulder" rolling... my custom laser etching turned out exactly the way I envisioned it and they even rushed the order so I could pick it up 2 days later! After reading the two negative reviews, I was a little apprehensive but being it was a local business to me, I thought I would give it a chance! I called to make sure they had what I needed and the woman, Emma, that answered could NOT have been more helpful. She helped me over the phone tell me WHAT I wanted & assured me they had it at a reasonable price. I went, met her and was sent to the yard to see Pete! Disappointed! We did a major renovation where the kitchen was the centerpiece, we chose a top that Custom Stone had never worked with and in the end had to become certified in order to cut and install. THE CUT WAS JUST TERRIBLE and had to be redone which of course delayed our being able to use the kitchen. This was a very expensive top, not something you can throw away and replace if you decide it doesn't meet your standard or expectations. The final result is very disappointing, there is a seam at the back of the sink which should not be there, the edges don't match up. The caulk job with the farm sink is horrible, the same terrible job was done on a bathroom that was part of the renovation. We were told when the final punch list was put together that this would be remedied, IT WASN'T. Of course this is before the final inspections were done. Very disappointing. read more

Crap company. Quoted me at a price that was not what I was charged.  After my delivery was delivered they tried overcharging me $55 because they overloaded the truck. They did not call me to ask if that's OK, they did not call me to inform me of the situation. I was told I would get an invoice in my email, never did. Only noticed a large charge on my bank card that shocked me. Con artist. Avoid at all costs. When I called to dispute it they gave me the run around. Completely unprofessional. Anyone who answers the phones cant answer questions. Feels like I'm talking to a drunk who hates work.  After a week of calls and idiotic conversations they finally offered my refund of $55. They couldn't even figure out how to give the refund because one of the main workers was out as a reserve so I had to wait even longer. So that means whenever he leaves they don't know how to operate their system? Stupidity at its finest. read more

We had a large kitchen counter top installed. They were professional in all stages. They made a to scale template of the counter top. We visited their show and stone stock rooms to pick out the huge stone slab that we wanted and the edge shape. That was a lot of fun! They installed the counter top with care and installed the sink and faucet that I purchased from another vendor. I was impressed by the razor sharp leveling precision and detail and the time spent assuring the slabs were perfectly aligned. They showed us how to clean the surface. They used extreme care protecting our ceramic tiled floors leading to and in the kitchen. There were several people involved. Estimator, template makers, and installers which included the template makers. A very efficient team. Its been some years now and the counter top is still perfectly level and looks just as the day they installed it, beautiful. We visit the show room every year to purchase their custom granite counter top cleaner for us and some extra for family members in other states. It is a very good cleaner. I worked at NASA for 35 years and I know excellence we I see it. Custom Stone is Outstanding. read more

Went to their store to get an estimate on boulders to separate my driver from the neighbor. Since we were getting new neighbors, I wanted to complete the project before new neighbors moved in. Got a reasonable estimate and Jody promised she will get me 12 close to 100 lbs boulders (not 200 lbs rocks, $0.19/lb) to make the cost more reasonable (around $250 to $400). Also she will call to give me the exact cost before it left the store that morning. So I set up a delivery time of 8:30 to 9 the next week. They showed up at 10:30 and the cost was $575. No call prior to let us know cost. Rocks were all different sizes ranging from 20 lbs to 300 lbs. Called to complain and the guy told me rocks were like apples and he couldn't pick the size. I asked him to give me what was promised. He was rude! Told me he would come and get all the rocks and refund me. I will never do business with them again! read more

Wow, Custom Stone is truly as good as it gets! We had major backyard renovations performed through a landscaping company that used various subcontractors. The overall project costs more than my first house! Needless to say, we were extremely anxious starting this project as we have heard so many homeowner horror stories with cobtractors/subcontractors. Custom Stone came in after the pool install but before the landscape. The crew was incredibly professional with an amazing work ethic. They were on site before we left for work and were there when we returned. Our circular paver design included multiple levels, curved retaining walls, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and a pool waterfall feature. Several times, we noticed issues with the layout and mentioned them to Steve, our foreman, who was always on site. Not only was he extremely polite, courteous, and patient, he promptly addressed all of our concerns. Twice (that we know of), he had his crew tear down a whole days worth of work to re-install curved walls and correct a retaining wall issue. In addition, after all the pavers were installed, Steve returned with his crew following a rainstorm to correct grading issues in order to improve drainage. Highly experienced and knowledgeable, Steve identified design flaws in our outdoor kitchen layout and recommended solutions that were spot on! We have received so many compliments from neighbors and friends on our new beautiful and functional backyard. Although we are still under construction (pending gas and final electrical and plumbing work), we have already recommended Custom Stone to folks considering stone work. Custom Stone has set the bar for contract work, as far as we are concerned, and we would gladly serve as a reference for them. They did not promise us anything for this review; in fact they did not even ask us to place one. We felt this was the least we could do to allay potential customers' concerns as the negative reviews we've seen for this company did not represent our experience.
