The guy that helped me, I believe his name was Ernie, he was great, so friendly, and extremely helpful in assisting me in my remodeling project. He made my purchase and delivery of my building materials so easy. So because of the great service I received from him, I'm making this location my primary go to store, even though this location is slightly further from me, than the El Monte location. 5 stars from me.

So when my brother told me that C&M had a good deal on a particular blank (that's the rod without any guides or reels attached yet, Mabel), I couldn't pass up the opportunity. So on a nice Saturday morning, I made the long drive out to San Dimas and... closed Saturdays due to COVID. Currently, they're operating on a three day mid-week 4 hour schedule. Not to be denied, I called on a Tuesday at 1:50ish, and Colleen said, "we close at 2." Thankfully, she offered to open up for me if I drove out again. Very cool. I arrived at 2:30 or so, and Colleen spent the time helping me put my project together: guides, reel seat, winding checks, EVA handles... appreciated the service. COVID's impact on their supply chain is notable, but it's affecting everyone, and you can't hold it against a small shop when their suppliers are hurting too. We're all in this together. In my haste to get out of the store, one of the handles didn't make it in the bag! However, my brother was in that area the next day and was able to pick it up... still right there on the counter. I'm a contractor and I bought a hot cold stem for a shower renovation…read more Spoke with the guy who was helpful in trying to identify an aged unmarked stem I asked him clearly if it doesn't fit can I return it, he assured me I could as long as it wasn't used. I opened the plastic and it didn't work out nothing on the stem indicated wear or use I put it back in the plastic it came it and ended up having to replace the entire thing shower. Went to return it and the gentleman said no without making eye contact and pointed at the sign that said no returns or refunds. Over 12$ they lost any work I would bring to this local plumbing spot.
