This is right next to the drive through Starbucks at Alcosta and SRV Blvd. I can't say enough good things about Karima and Siavosh's ability to style, color and cut hair. These are the same stylists I have been going to for over 20+ years and that is saying a lot because I am very picky about who cuts my hair. Well, so far my gf has gone here twice. I believe she sets appointments for Karima. The first time, she got a cut and some blond streaks, I think. I took my son today to get a cut from this place. I thought by the 4 out of 5 stars they must be pretty good. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I ask for a 4 on top 1 on the sides and for them to line the front up. It ended up being a 2 on the top 1 on the side. Front was so uneven. I could of did a better job. Karima and Siovash are excellent shop owners and are very personable and very welcoming. I take my boys to their shop almost once a month and they are very good with kids. They welcome walk-ins but do recommend making an appointment during evening and weekend hours. I hightly recommend this place for kids. Finally found my barber! First off, this place is huge. Im so used to the tiny little mom and pop stores, so this is definitely refreshing. I went to the owner, and she gave me one of the best cuts ive had in a long time. Just the perfect amount of chat, cutting, and managing her employees. They are super nice there too. And price is reasonable at $17 per cut. I came in on a really hot day, and not sure if they were warpping up, but it would have been nice if the AC were on a little cooler on this sweltering day. What an amazing place; the couple that runs this place are so friendly and warm. They remember my name and always ask about my kids. Not only do you get a haircut a a fair price but everyone here is a licensed cosmetologist, so they have far more training in all thing pertaining to hair. I've come here before with no issues until today and will never come back. They always insisted I make an appointment, which I have honored since they asked me to. Today I walk in for my appointment and even though Karima was on site with no client I was told she couldn't cut my hair with no excuse. Saviosh insisted I consider getting a cut from a different stylist and I declined. Karima also insisted I get a cut from a different stylist and again I declined. She then suggested I wait for Saviosh to finish his cut which would have taken 20 mins. I declined one last time. I got up and walked towards the door and just informed them that I would go somewhere else. Karima apologized and said to come back again soon. She then offered a discount for my next visit and I declined the offer and informed her I would never be coming back here again. What's the point of making an appointment if the establishment won't honor that? I went through a lot more hassles than I should have to get a haircut. #1 they don't do black people hair... guy told me he could do a fade then F***ked up my hair line. #2 They a dirty salon that doesn't clean the equipment. ONLY. don't come here thinking you getting a fade. So I have been going to this place for over ten years and will never consider going anywhere else. Location: This place may be a bit trick to find. It is under the apartments at the intersection of Dublin Blvd and Dougherty Rd. There is free parking in front of the store so that is not a problem. There are even different shops around the place so go get a hair cut and then walk around to grab a snack or lunch. Staff: They are some of the nicest people around. You feel extremely comfortable walking in and a great place to have a chat. Hair: I have really thick and complicated hair, and these are the only guys who have been able to cut it perfectly every time. Would never think about going anywhere else. I came by for a few times due to Yelp good feedback. I thought visiting a few time they will know exactly what you wanted and familiar with your hair. Don't get me wrong! Yes they are all nice but CANNOT cut a guy hair. Very poor... 1. cannot shampoo a guy hair (this is a very basic) "said they have 10+ yr experience" 2. I kept telling her what and where to cut but she doesn't have any experience regarding stylist. 3. They only use clipper to cut and very BAD on scissor. 4. every time I came back, it was a different haircut somehow. Definitely I will NOT go here for a haircut again. I'm a guy with what I believe is a pretty simple haircut - #4 on the sides and then styled forward with the front lifted up a bit. I get it done all the time rarely paying more than $15-20 and hardly ever have an issue so I figured I'd try this place out while I was running some errands so that I could look good for Thanksgiving. Big mistake. I had my hair cut by a woman who I think may own the place. My hair is uneven with patches that are significantly longer than others. The hair around my left ear is shaped nicely, but around my right it looks sloppy. Since it is Thanksgiving, I (along with my girlfriend's family) am stuck with this for at least a day, but I will certainly need to get it cleaned up tomorrow morning at a spot I know of in San Jose that is reliable. If you don't want to have to get a second haircut to try to fix the first, I'd look elsewhere. read more

I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with this place. I called them today and asked them if they have time to cut my hair. After 20 minutes driving, I was told that they made a mistake and he does not have time. It is ok to make a mistake but I was expecting at least an apology. They could have compensated me by giving me the very next open slot. The guy (owner) kept cutting his customer's hair and didnt stop for a second to check his book to offer me an open spot. When I checked their recent rating in Yelp, It became clear to me that since they have got many customers, they dont care about the customer service any more. If you DO mind asking the stylist for a normal haircut and she practically shaves off all of your hair, then by all means, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL POSSIBLE COSTS. I went in this weekend with my boyfriend - who has an amazing head of hair - to get a cut.
