Porkchops has a fully stocked bar and offers a complimentary drink- definitely a win. His only complaint is that the chairs do not face the mirror so your haircut is a surprise for you in the end. He took a little more than an hour and kept complaining how much his arm hurt because he was cutting my hair. By the time I saw my hair, it was way shorter than what I wanted. I had medium length hair but by this time my hair was short. I told him that's enough. Short hair, I can live with. What I found after I took a shower really got me PO. I noticed that there is a portion of my hair that is 1 inch long and the rest is 3 inches long. THATS RIDICULOUS! You can see the pictures attached. He even forgot to clean my neckline. I Had to leave in a hurry cause this guy took so long. This guy does not know how to cut hair and I would avoid this place. Then to my surprise, they charged me $50 for this POS hair cut. I have just recently moved to Atlanta and I called this barber shop since it was right down the…read morestreet for a haircut when I called I asked specifically if they have a master barber with a license that works here the girl that answered the phone lied to me and told me that the owner was a master barber She later called me to tell me that the appointment was rescheduled and I proceeded to ask again about the master barber license A different guy got on the phone very aggressive and argumentative with me and started to tell me that i might be looking for an instructors license and did not know what a master Barber was... When I got there I sat down and waited for the actual barber to show up and the guy that was aggressive with me on the phone started to ask me questions in the shop in a vindictive and instigative way because he and the other girl had been gossiping about what I wanted to pay for before I got there. More so he was trying to impress the girl And had this black on black disrespectful behavior about it.. Long story short after my haircut the girl was very rude to me and ghetto in front of the owner who allowed it to happen.. Because they had been talking about it before I got there so he intentionally messed up the back of my head.. It made me feel as if barbers don't care about service And if they misunderstand something through ignorance they will take it out on you through your haircut even if they are wrong you'll be stuck with a fucked up Haircut for two weeks The owner appeared to be very respectful as he cut my hair but when I look at the back of my head and I look at the other cuts that he has done this looks like it was very intentional because I did ask for a shadow fade. And this is something that some barbers will do which is also vindictive to customers. Most black barbers in the south feel they can treat you anyhow if they think you are also black. It wasn't till after he found out I was Nigerian that they started to act with a little respect.. Which tells me that if they thought I was American they would feel like it would be right for them to disrespect me but when they find out I am a different black person from a different country the response was not as aggressive.. It was not till I got back home that my wife and my son pointed out that they messed up the back of my head and she said it looks like it was intentional because of the way it was done... I did not get WhT I thought I paid for And this was the specific reason that I asked for a master barber who was older. I felt scammed because I was lied to by the staff here just so they could earn business, The business here was very dishonest And ignorant on the guy who wanted to argue with me, he was very hood and ignorant and they hire hood people who will disrespect you to your face as you are paying the money that is not customer service and that is not how you run business As I was getting my haircut I notice he kept on glancing over to me wondering what I was telling the owner and I then noticed that the owner walked to the front and walked back and he said something to the owner about me thinking I was talking about him and I can tell you that mental illness is relevant in this barbershop... However the owner is a decent guy that seems to have the wrong people working in his shop... The young girl at the front desk is really hood you will be able to tell she has a backyard tattoo on her and short hair.You would be able to tell that she's very ghetto trying to sound proper This is definitely not a barbershop for professionals. These guys are only used to dealing with hood people and you will experience that by the way that they treat you if you are black..
