Patronized them twice, first time I went I went to Nick and he did a decent job. Customer service skills was neutral but he did a good job on my haircut outside of shaping up my beard. Paid him with a tip, came back the second time and it was a complete different experience. He forgot that I went to him the first time and was nonchalant about my haircut. I was very specific in how I wanted him to cut and the only thing he did right was line my beard up more thicker. He still didn't shape it and he barely touched my top or line my front hairline. My fade was not on par. I will never come back to him, if I do go back to the shop it'll be with another barber not him. read more

My son and I have run the gamut of barbers. We had a consistent barber for a few months but then he ended up changing locations which was inconvenient. We've been barber hopping for the past two months and it has not been the best experience. I really wanted to make sure my toddler had a pleasant experience at the barbershop. Unfortunately we've had the trap barbers, I won't go into detail. He's walked out the shop looking like he didn't even get a haircut. And I've been scammed on StyleSeat by Someone who had hacked into a barber's profile. I decided to try yelp since I was striking out on StyleSeat. Troy was beyond amazing! I called that morning to find out if they even serviced four--year-olds. He answered. He said they serviced 4 yr olds He said he had same day availability . In my haste I booked the appointment online but did not pay attention to the barber who I selected. As luck would have it, I was in a fender bender down the street from the barbershop 30 minutes before the appointment so I called to cancel due to the fact i was going to be late waiting on the police. Troy answered and mentions that I had not booked with him but the other barber allowed me to cancel. Troy actually drove to meet me at the accident site because he said he was heading in my direction. He told me that once he was done running an errand he would still give my son a haircut. I was nervous. So many people had screwed up cutting this little boys hair. Not Troy!! He was patient and even danced to my son singing Baby Shark while he was in the chair. He pulled up a chair and let me sit close by when most barbers wave you off to the waiting area. We will definitely be back! Glad to have found a convenient, family friendly barber shop! read more

I had high hopes for this place but unfortunately I was let down. Cutters lounge is beautiful on the inside and barbers in there have great customer service skills. Barber skills though I'm unsure. I went to Troy. He was mad cool and made me feel comfortable in his chair. He listened to what I wanted and seemed to take care of me. It wasn't until I seen the end results that I was disappointed. I told him I wanted a temp cut & a light trim, only an inch off the top. He faded one side higher than the other & he cut over 2 & a half inches off my head. I was fine with that initially but upon further inspection of my hair I noticed it wasn't cut evenly. There are pieces of my hair that are visibly longer than other pieces which utterly infuriated me. The only good part of the haircut was my hairline which was crisp. Everything else left me disappointed and annoyed. I wouldn't go back to him. read more

Troy is a genius. Give him a pair of clippers and he can do wonders. I have been going to Cutters since I moved to Atlanta (I trusted Yelp reviews and was not disappointed). Appointments are easy to make (online) and he sticks to his schedule - meaning last minute changes are difficult. Given his craft, he is always booked closer in, so plan in advance if you can. While I visited Cutters in the old location (Salon Studios) and it was a one man show, he is moving to a new location and plans to expand his services. I got nervous at first cause Troy couldn't see me cause I was hella late. He passed me off to Jarvis, but he KILLED IT. Took his sweet time to cut my hair and do it right. Full service with the beard straight razor line up included. For 40$ you can't beat that. Top 10 haircuts I've gotten for sure. Highly recommend Jarvis. Booked a 10 am, got there and waited for 45 minutes for my barber to call me while I'm in the shop and tell me that he couldn't get me in and he would see if someone else could get me in. Waited 20 more minutes before I took matters in my own hands and asked for a cut. Then the new barber then charged me for his cut even after I paid for the other barber already so it all cost me $100 to get a basic lining and fade. I was lucky enough to get my hair cut by Troy the first week I moved to Atlanta and I haven't tried to look for another barber since. He does clean fades and is consistent with every cut. There's nothing more reassuring than never having to worry about getting a bad haircut. I liked that he had an option for a women's clipper cut and his instagram photo were also impressive, including women's clipper cuts he had previously done. Troy is one of the best barbers I've been to. Cutter's Lounge is located in the Salon Studios Building, next to L.A. Fitness. If you go there on Monday, the doors are locked, but Cutters Lounge is still open. You just have to dial in and look for, "Troy" in the call box. Then he'll come by and get you. This isn't a regular salon. It's just a room with a chair, you, and him. I liked the nice, intimate feel. It's feels nice, private, and quiet. Troy is a good talker, like all Barbers should be. He knows how to get rapport and exchange pleasantries. His cutting techniques are excellent. He uses his tools well and is precise. He seems to know about the latest trends and styles. He also gives good advice one what can look good on your head. As of September, 2015, Troy is the only guy working there. He does not have anyone else doing hair for him. So when you make an appointment, you know you're getting the man. His signature haircut costs $28. He cuts your hair, gives you a neck shave, and shampoos your hair. I like his shampooing. He uses some sort of brush during the shampooing and makes your scalp feel nice. Then he puts some tingly conditioner and rinses it all off. My head felt pretty good. If you're in the Buckhead area, you should definitely give Troy a try. He has over 15 years of experience and knows hair very well. read more

BEST HAIRCUT! I travel a lot so I often have to search for a barber wherever I'm at and hope they do a good job. My hair is not the easiest to blend and rarely do I come across a barber I've never been to that gives me exactly what I want. I went to see TROY who happens to be from my hometown Miami, and all I can say is Troy hooked it up! Honestly the best cut I've ever gotten and the blend on my fade is so clean.
