I used to go to a nail salon in Wallingford, but they've become super busy so I came here one day. I love it. I've only come here ever since. The staff is friendly and take their time. I usually get a deluxe pedicure for $30 and it's at least an hour and they give the best massages. I highly recommend Cute Nail Salon! read more

Went in for a mani/pedi on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to wait. Hmmm ... that should have tipped me off. I'd been to Cute Nails before and had a decent experience but this time was just God-awful. In the end my fingernails and toenails were uneven and they didn't even my nails out like I asked. The woman doing my toes didn't even take off all of the old polish, just painted over it. My big toenail was crooked, one of my pinkie nails was longer than the others, and the polish I chose was old and too thick. I'm moving on ... read more

We took our 95 year old friend to get her first pedicure ever. She was so scared, and I kept trying to reassure her what a wonderful experience it is. She very much enjoyed her pedicure (as did I), and she got the giggles (her feet are kind of ticklish). Giggles are an understatement, lol. We were all laughing. I went in on a hot Sunday afternoon as a walk-in customer. Two others walked in at the same time, saying that they had read good reviews. I had a very nice experience, with relaxing foot and leg rubs, a massage chair, a good pedicure, and good conversation. The owner was very nice, and we all ended up chatting together about subjects that included his photographs, which he generously shared with us. I really want to love this place. It's two blocks away from home, is pretty cheap and the lady there remembers me even though I'm not really a regular. .......But. Nails in general are a luxury. If you're paying for something you don't really need, you expect luxurious treatment. And at Cute Nails, I've received harried, non luxury-feeling treatment a few times too many. My nails have been rushed and don't last as long as they have from other nail salons. The massages have been quick and stingy if anything. The last time I went, the ladies weren't gentle with my nail beds and physically hurt me. Sometimes, this is a perfectly fine place where the owner takes the time to do things like learn your name and listen to your needs. But sometimes, it just feels like they really don't care that much. read more

I usually go to Peony across the street but they were over booked so I hopped over to try something new. From two of the massage chairs being broken, scalding water to soak in (even after cold water was requested) , bleeding toes (now infected) to bumpy polish. This place was horrendous. If I could, I would give this place 0 stars. I came here this afternoon with my best friend to get our nails done. I just wanted the most simple, basic manicure you could ever ask for: one color. My friend opted for a French tip. My nails looked chunky and gloopy. I would provide a picture but I had them take the polish off right away. The manicurist didn't even remove the polish properly. Let's not even talk about how my friend's nails turned out. The sole male employee, who appeared to be the manager, spoke poorly of every customer in the store in Vietnamese to the other employees. Unbeknownst to him, I understood every word. I paid for the shoddy work and quickly left. I won't be coming back. read more

Pedicure started decent, and what I would expect for the price. The nail tech gouged my cuticle on my big toe and it started gushing blood. She did not notice and when I pointed to it, she looked uncertain and grabbed cotton balls and dabbed without gloves. While the cut was still spilling out blood, poured standard superglue into the cut, and got the cotton glued to my skin by trying to press it in. Overall a horrible experience from staff that appear in adequately trained. I wish I could say good things but that was the worst pedicure I have had. read more

Terrible experience today. Young woman employee used huge toenail clippers to trim my fingernails. On the third nail (middle finger. Right hand) she cut too low and gashed the finger next to the nail. Nit at nick in the cuticle but a deep cut on my finger. I yelled and got up to leave. In doing so, I noticed that she just put the bloody clippers back in a towel-lined tray. Never go there. read more

Very attentive and friendly. They don't just shuffle you in and out uncaringly, which is the feeling I get at other salons. Easily accessible for walk-ins because they have several technicians and have parking behind the building. My major priority is the massage portion of the pedicure. I received a very skillful leg and foot session by Tuon. I will definitely return to this friendly and sunny massage. They have floor to ceiling cathedral height windows--nice, positive vibe and are in the maple leaf neighborhood of north Seattle. I've been going here for three years but the ownership recently changed. These new ladies are fantastic and do an excellent job but I can't help but notice the same two women work seven days a week. I don't like supporting a business that over works their employees. Seems like they are being taken advantage of because who would work a job seven day a week without even holidays off if they weren't forced to? Just left a little disappointed, they were pretty rough with me during my pedicure. They pulled my feet out of the water, and when i complained it hurt either they didn't hear me or i was ignored, and they cut my cuticles till they bled. I said something about the bleeding and they said that "there was no blood" maybe it was a little hard to see but definitely there.. after I said something I was completely ignored for the rest of my time in the salon. read more

I've been a Cute Nail customer for 11 years. The service I've received has been great. Started getting Shellac and love it. Never been unclean. The owner has just added more super nice massage chairs, fixed up the salon to be more spa like and it is fantastic. I purposely ask for my ingrowns to be cut and have always been treated well. After traveling for a living I was looking for a salon that offered the same amenities that I was used to:vibrating chairs and a top knotch pedicure and a nail tech who could do gel nails. I found this with Kelly and Mom at CUTE NAILS! The salon is charming and Kelly and her Mom are like family to me. Mom doesn't know english as well as her daughter, Kelly, but she lets me know if I need to move my feet by lightly tapping on my toes. II went here for awhile to get fake nails. The girl (I always forget her name, but she ALWAYS remembered me) told me she would put gel nails on, and I thought that was fine. The nails looked fine, and she always seemed to do an okay job. But, let's be honest, being new to the fake nail/pedicure scene I didn't have too much expectation. I had enough when the girl made my finger bleed and instead of giving me a tissue or allowing me to wash my hands she grabbed by cut with her bare hand, applied pressure, and said, "sorry, sorry, sorry!" For the next few weeks I kept thinking about all the blood born diseases I could have, and I knew it was time for me to move on. I am not done yet..... I headed over to Ballard Nail Salon, where Emily was shocked at what was on my nails. The so called "gel nails" were not gel and Emily really had no idea what they were. She was so shocked and disappointed that my nails were in such bad shape that she kept shaking her head and cursing the other business. She started the artificial nail process over and found that Cute Nails did not leave my nails cute, but red thin and sickly. It took Emily several months to get my nails healthy again. My wife and I have been coming here to cute nails for 3 years. They did an awsome job for my wife and I for our wedding. They stayed an hour past closing time to make sure we were good for our wedding day.We decided we would be coming here from now on. They take very good care of how they treat your feet and hands. I went to go get my nails done shellac. The color I picked seemed to be blotchy and not a good polish. The lady continued to do my nails. The next day my nails were chipping and within a week all of my nails were ruined. I called in and asked if she could fix them for me free of charge since it had been a week. She said she would, so I took an Uber to Cute Nails. After I arrived I explained to the lady that I didn't want to do the same color again and that I wanted to change the color. She said that she would only put color on top of my nails to fix them. I explained again how I didn't see this would fix the problem of the color not being good in the first place. She then proceeded to tell me she didn't have enough time to help me. I have never had shellac chip within a week and this was a terrible experience I would never recommend coming here.
