Very happy here. Took our son here for the first time after a terrible experience at DC dental. At Dc Dental, the dentist came in and spent all of 30seconds looking at my sons tooth. She told me it looked infected and could need a root canal and then told my wife that our son was not cooperative enough to examine. They recommended we take him to a specialist. Cute Smiles 4 Kids, this place is a REAL pediatric dentist office. My son acted the exact same at this office as he did at Dc Dental, we took Xrays and the dentist actually spent time examining the xrays with me and looking at my sons mouth. First off, they don't allow more than 1 parent to be with their child, because "the room is too small" which is a blatant lie. The bigger issue is the way the dentist treated my child, he didn't seem to like children in the first place and provided a lot of confusing information that seemingly made no sense, he ignored my questions during the visit so I still have no clue how my daughter's teeth are doing. read more

Honestly, staff was amazing. The dentist was non verbal, non attentive and most of all let my five year old child leave the facility with an abscess an a two month wait with no prescription which resulted us going to the emergency room for treatment. I'm very sad to write this review. I have been bringing my oldest daughter here since she was about one or two years old. In the last four years this dental clinics overall experience has definitely declined. I understand that people need to get their foot in the door to start their careers but why is everybody so clueless here!? Just trying to get simple answers as to what it is my child needs to have completed was impossible! Until I decided to take time out of my day and drive down to their facility and demand they give me copies. This is for the INDIAN SCHOOL OFFICE. Cute Smiles for Kids is a good place to go for dentistry and braces. There are quite a few SUPERSTARS that work here, including Anthony and a few dentists/orthodontists that work there! However Christy (wearing jean shirt, brown hair today 9/14/19) is NOT one of them. She had an attitude for 90% of our conversation. She had a "my way or the highway" type of mentality. She is NOT customer focused. I asked simple questions that she was unable to answer. She was so rude that I conducted the rest of the front office transaction with Miss Natalie. Christy is NOT well suited for her front office/customer service role. I was offended and displeased by the treatment I received from her. It would be in the best interest of her manager, Natalia (sp?) to coach her on proper etiquette. Christy is clearly ignorant. If possible I would give this place a negative rating. Our experience was horrible! For a 2 year old we were scheduled a 5:45am apt. My mom took her to the apt because I had to work I signed a consent form for her to take her. The day before our apt we went to have my babies vitals taken and I signed off on what I thought was going to b for her to get caps on her front teeth My mom speaks only Spanish so she asked for a translator. To make a long story short they extracted my babies teeth. From the girls at the front desk to the office manager Carrie are not professional I would not recommend for anyone to bring their child here. read more

Took My son for an appointment in January and scheduled the work to be done today March 21st and when I got to the 8:30 am appointment was told "Ummm we still haven't got authorization from your insurance for the work. It takes 72 hours." Considering they had a week in January, all of February and most of March I find this unacceptable. They then offered to make us an appointment to get the work done next week. I decided to just use a different dentist and told them they lost our buisness forever to which the receptionist replied "Whatever" . The pediatric dentist here is great. This 1 star review is strictly for the office staff, who I have literally had a problem with from the beginning. My son has been there twice and the dentist was a dream. However, getting scheduled and getting the staff to CORRECTLY look up my insurance has been a nightmare. It started about six months ago, I received a call informing me it was time for my son to see the dentist. I appreciate the calls so I went ahead and scheduled. The week before I get a phone call stating my insurance was invalid. I was concerned so I told them to cancel and I would look in to it. Turns out it was not, my insurance was fine, someone in the office was calling it in wrong. I was a little upset, but hey, mistakes happen right? So I let it go and I never got a chance to reschedule after that. Well Fast forward to this week. I get a call stating my son is still due for his checkup. I have a day off coming up and they had an appointment that day. So I booked an appointment. I let them know they have had issues with my insurance and that I would like to update it and make sure they have it correct in the system. So I give that lady the information over the phone and she said everything was good. It had been awhile since the last experience so I thought it would be fine. I thought wrong! Today I get a call AGAIN about my insurance being invalid. I get it, there are probably instances out there where someone really does not have insurance. I can 100% truthfully tell you I do, and just last week got my teeth cleaned. But no, once again they called saying my insurance is not valid and to call my insurance to find out why. Sound familiar? Same thing happened last time! I honestly have no idea why they can not get their act together. With that being said, I will NEVER be coming back here. Which is a shame, because my son is only 4 and has many years of going to the dentist ahead of him. Hopefully the practice will realize that the staff is NOT doing their job and correct the issue, or I am sure more parents will stop going there as well. read more

Weird place. Crowded with patients and staff. All of the staff were borderline rude and no personality. Like a bunch of robots. I was told my daughter had four cavaties. Three needed fillings and one a silver crown. I was shoved paperwork explaining procedures and told to make appointment for future work. Our first appointment, staff was very unprofessional! 3 dental assistants hanging out & chatting it up in the room with my daughter in the chair while completely forgetting to get the doctor. Today our second appointment, they told us to show up early to prepare for set up. Showed up 30 mins early and waited 1 hour after scheduled appointment for the receptionist to tell me they will call my daughter in a few mins, then again 15 mins later to say another few mins & they're running behind, after an hour & a half later. Then they tell me "as a courtesy we can reschedule" no it would have been a courtesy if you would have called me ahead of time to tell us they were running behind schedule or how about while we were still sitting there after a full lobby was now empty! So frustrated, we walked out and went to 'The Kids' Dental Office of Phoenix & Orthodontics' they were amazing and gave us the customer service, professionalism and experience this place tends to lack, even the doctor walked the patients out and acknowledged us when we were just setting up our appointment but this place the doctor comes in and never spoke to us with our first appointment & speaks to her assistant & walks out, not one word to us! I would give this place a -5 if I could. I have been in twice to fill in my daughters cavities and each time we are left waiting for two hours after our scheduled appointment. It's definitely not a pleasant situation when you are trying to entertain a 5 year old that has not been able to eat or drink anything all day on top of waiting 2 hours after your expected time. The first time I thought it was because we had scheduled on a Friday but the second appointment was on a Tuesday and the wait was just as bad! The staff is also very unprofessional and rude! Called the office a few weeks ago to schedule x-rays, exams, and cleanings for my kids. I was told our appointment was at 1010am. We arrived at 950am. I printed the new patient forms from their website and filled them out PRIOR to our appointment. I wasn't impressed the first time I walked into their doors...but I figured I'd give it a shot. I provided my insurance cards and id for them to make a copy. My older child was thirsty and I had forgotten to bring our water bottles from home. Told my older child to ask receptionist for some water. They completely ignored her. So I went up and asked for some water. I was told, sure but you need to come around to the back since "it isn't fair to everyone else. Some kids are fasting". I had my daughter wait by the front door and no one came still...I was also told I needed to fill out additional paperwork. So, I filled out the additional paperwork. Even though we were early to our appointment my kids weren't brought back until 1048am. Yes, I checked my watch. Honestly, it was like a zoo; meaning kids were running around everywhere, front office staff disorganized, miscommunication. In the waiting area kids were in the middle of the walkways on the rocking toys... In regards to their schedule it's like they stack em and pack em as far as patients. Not a whole lot of one on one for patients, I feel... I asked the assistant who took us back how long she had been there. She told me she just finished her internship and got hired two weeks prior. She took my kids x-rays accordingly. It took awhile for her to get a Dr to perform an examination on both my kids. When the Dr walked in he said, "Oh wait, I need to do something" - but saw me and then stayed and did the two exams. Also, the assistant didn't chart the existing things in my kids mouths so the Dr had to tell the assistant to remember to do so. After the exams, the assistant spent about 20 minutes entering in the data she didn't do prior to the Dr walking into the room. I was getting a little irritated by this point. Asked her if we were finished since she wasn't communicating with me. She said my kids still needed their cleanings. I said, "Okay. were you going to do that or do you need to get a hygienist or certified assistant?" She told me she would get a certified assistant. That took awhile, too. All in all we saw three assistants for two cleanings since a different assistant kept poking her head into the room. I'm assuming she needed help with something? The assistant cleaning my one child's teeth informed me she had to stop and leave to a different room since that was her patient and she was just helping this assistant. So that's when the third assistant came in. I asked all three ladies how long they had been there. The first for two weeks and internship prior. The second for a year, also a previous intern. The third for 6 months. I asked if the practice was new. They said, "No, its been here for about 4 years". okay... At this point, I just kept thinking about we still didn't get any water and their water fountains were broken..ha. Had my kids teeth examined, x-rays taken, and cleaned. No cavities for the first and for my second child she has one cavity. I'm kind of nervous since they don't allow parents in the back with their kids. Parents have to stay in the waiting area. I have been to a different pediatric dental office that allows parents to wait outside of the room their child is in if they are consciously sedated or actually in the room if they are on nitrous. Anyways, when I was brought up front I figured the assistants were pleasant enough. I just think the office is disorganized or whoever is the officer manager doesn't keep their ducks in a row so to speak. I say this because when I was brought up front the assistant handed the charts to the scheduling girls. I say girls, because they were gossiping and giggling. They ignored the assistant. She left the chart on the counter. I stood there for a couple minutes. Oh wait girls, yes there is a customer at the counter. It's like none of the three girls at the check out counter wanted the check out the two charts laid onto the counter, (AHH! work!) ...lol. Anyways, the chick was like she needs this and that. I told her, "yes, I understand". She told me, "I have a Monday". I said,"I am unable to come in as I work on Monday". I was asked,"Well, what day works for you then?" I told her, "Tuesday or Thurdays are best. If it needs to be later in the next month, that's fine". She scheduled me accordingly and also scheduled their six months cleanings and exams. I figure I will get the cavity filled and give them another shot at the cleaning and exam in 6 months. If its the same disorganization and chaos... We will be seeking elsewhere next year. All in all we left the dental office at 1248pm when we arrived at the office at 950am and their appointments were scheduled at 1010am. Fun! read more

This place used to be decent I took my kids there for years, now there's a whole new staff, they're rude insensitive towards children and impatient my 5 yr old son was put under anesthesia today and has been traumatized and in pain telling me how they forced him and pinned him down and pushed the mask on his face so hard that he is still in pain! To me that's a pretty traumatizing way to be put to sleep he woke up with a bloody nose from the tube that was put down his nose. The staff are great. They are very friendly and informative. However, our experience in the lobby is awful! I would highly recommend they take the playroom out of the lobby. Parents let their children run around and climb over everything. They have little riding cars and the kids run over everyone while they are waiting. It's terrible! They have a playhouse for the kids to play on and the children climb onto the top and they push the ceiling tiles up! I have been here 3 times now and I have had the same experience every time. The "playroom" lobby is complete chaos. Kids running, climbing all over the furniture, screaming, falling, crying, etc. I take my kids to Kidz are KooL Dentistry in Arrowhead and this does not happen there. I've been going there for 9 years and I've never experienced chaos like this in their lobby and it's is a very fun environment for children. The playroom lobby at Cute Smiles for Kids also smells awful. It's bad. I can't compare it to any other smell I've ever smelled before. It's seriously gross. When the staff call you to the back for your appointment it doesn't smell bad at all. It smells fine in the back. The awful smell is contained within the playroom lobby. The best thing about Cute Smiles for Kids is the staff. They did a great job with my 12 yr old brother. The dentist was great. My brother was very nervous to get his fillings but the staff were great with him. They are also great with the parents. They answer any questions and tell you everything they are going to do before they do it. If you can get past the chaos in the lobby, this would be a great place! It almost feels unfair to give this place a negative rating because the staff are really great but the lobby is a complete fail. read more

Up until my last appointment I had nothing but rave reviews about the Dunlap Office. My daughter has been a patient there for 8 years. It is amazing how much the customer service has changed in 6 months. I go the reminder message and not only did they leave the wrong name on the message, but they confirmed the wrong time. I arrive at the appointment and all the front office staff was so uninterested and blah. Usually, they are upbeat, pleasant and personable. I found out that my daughter had a small cavity that needs to be filled. The soonest they can fit me in is nut until August 31st. That is over 30 days away. Usually, they make my 6-month follow-up appointment as well. Not this time. No one even me asked about it. I think it is time to find a new dentist that has a more welcoming and friendly staff as well as one that is able to fill a cavity sooner than 36 days. read more

Very friendly, clean and my 5 year old enjoys going to the Dentist. They have a play area while we wait, the rooms have different cartoon themes and while the doc. Works on my daughter she can watch TV on the ceiling. Everyone is always attentive and makes sure my daughter is enjoying her visit. They treat her really well. read more

I made a Yelp account just so I could come on the site and speak of Cute Smiles. As a parent I could not have been more pleased with a dental office for my son. Dr. Scott is such a great dentist and the office is built as to be perfect for young children who might have an aversion to coming to get their teeth cleaned. My son was so nervous driving to his first appointment but the waiting room had plenty of wonderful toys, as well as, children's movies playing, making him feel at ease from the minute we walked in the door. Dr. Scott and his team did a thorough job getting my son's teeth cleaned and if you can believe it he asked repeatedly after his first visit when was he going to get to go back. It was awesome! my son had toothache while i was in Phoenix visiting my grandma. They were very helpful on the phone and scheduled us right away. The office is very clean and kid friendly. They have lots of toys and arcade games to keep my son busy while I fill out the short paper work. Overall, this is a state of the art office with friendly staff.
