I took my daughter here for a cleaning and to have her bi-annual checkup, as they accept our insurance. This is our second time in and this experience was a little better than the last. They have a huge parking lot with lots of trees, which helps with shade. Their drive way is easy to miss and almost hidden so be on the lookout for it directly after the building. It will take you around back. We had an 8am appt, first of the day. We were immediately greeted when we walked in, given forms to sign and took a seat. They have kids movies playing and lots of seating. My daughter pointed out, out loud, that the floors were dirty (lol) They definitely looked like they have not been swept or mopped in a few days. After about a 5 min wait we were taken back with another mom and child to start the teeth cleaning process. The hygienist was awesome with my daughter and showed her the brush she would be using to clean her teeth, letting her touch and feel it so she would be more comfortable. I was shocked with how well she did and how gentle the hygienist was with her. Kudos! After a cleaning we were asked to move over to the other side of the room and sit in another chair, that the dentist would be with us shortly. While waiting, I did notice the floors were also dirty and unkept so n the back. The dentist came in but seemed to be disheveled and in search of something. After about 15- 20 min of waiting he finally acknowledged us, counted my daughters teeth and told us we were good to go. Heading out my daughter was given a stuffed animal, a toothbrush and flossers, along with a new appt card. It is nice they give the kiddos a little something to make the experience better. It's not the best dentist I've been too but certainly not the worst. They are great with my daughter and as a mama that makes me happy. read more

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. Do not take your kids here. I went here for years (NOT by choice) and the amount of "torture" I endured here made me not ever want to go to dentist again. If you go here you are not treated with any type care. It's sad because I think a lot of lower income families come here because it's more affordable. They do everything so harshly, have you waiting for so long just to call you in and wait even longer. They don't let your parents come with you which I think is weird. Once the dentist was on a FACETIME call with someone while he was working on me. He put his phone on my STOMACH. If I could give 0 stars I would the guy with the pony tail was talking on the phone the entire time he was working on my daughter. They had her waiting in the back for 30 minutes and he was yelling in a foreign language was very clearly distracted and would continuously plop the phone on my daughter's stomach. When I asked what the reason for taking so long they said to do better and brush my kids teeth instead of complaining the receptionist was rude. Our family has been coming here forever and even if the outside is a little rough all of the inside is exactly what it needs. There is a lot of love and compassion. Pleasantly surprised!!!! I was reluctant to book an appointment because of the negative reviews on Yelp. My daughter had a dental emergency and I needed her seen ASAP. We were able to get a same day appointment at 5pm. Unexpectedly, my daughter needed 3 extractions and the dentist took care of it with kindness, care and patience. My daughter is typically anxious during her dental visits but I was amazed how comfortable she was at Dental Land. The dentist was so gentle and sweet. He comforted and treated my baby as if she were his own. The staff members are all so very sweet, welcoming and accommodating. Love, love, LOVE this place. We found a new family dentist!! read more

I have a lot to explain so parents if you are thinking of putting your kid to this dentist don't because there is a guy with a ponytail he is always rude to others try's to scare others and he doesn't scare me but we are getting our teeth cleaned so the guy says you guys should have came but you didn't show up and me and my brother said we did you guys were closed and he was making up these excuses like we are closed on Monday and some whatever day we came Wednesday to get our cavities drilled and when we did it was closed we didn't receive any phone calls or text messages back to the situation he was arguing to us about it and I was upset about that so when we went to the lobby I told my mom everything what he was trying to do and my mom went up and the guy walked back and I just stared him down and my mom talking to the front desk about what happen to us with that guy she also agreed with it being unacceptable my mom later on said if he wants to argue with my kids he should argue to me about it not to my kids and so we left with no apology which got me upset how he really got away with it so I wrote this review also when we did call them for our cavities they scheduled it to September so I hope you guys read this but the guy is bringing the company down if you do have your kids here have a talk with them about the guy with the ponytail because he is rude very very disrespectful and I won't go away too fast after this we are gonna make sure this doesn't happen again so the guy with the ponytail do better because we are gonna let our insurance know why we are leaving this place and I'll figure your name out soon! read more

This place is so unprofessional! I would like to tell people how our experience has been with them. I have been in the dental field for over 10 years so I know what I am talking about. The first visit took a very long time and it was just check up and cleanings. I had 2 kids with me and there was not many people in the waiting room so I assumed it wouldn't take very long. For one of the children he needed a lot of work done and I had asked the front desk to get the treatment plan, referral for a root canal and also his prescriptions. They did not give me anything so I had to go back in there to remind them. Today the one child had his appointment. He was supposed to get it all done today and they only did half. The best part is that his appointment was 10am he did not get called back until 1:15pm. This dental office is very unprofessional and do not communicate with the parents at all! I do not recommend them if you are looking for a place that does speak to the parents and actually is courteous and professional. read more

I have taken my kids since 2008 to Children's Dental Land, they have always treated me and my kids with kindness and patience. I have to admit that on many occasion because of my job I have had to cancel and reschedule, the staff are always very understanding and accommodating. Also over the years I have lost my insurance and they have given me major discounts. My kids are now teenagers but we plan to stay here till they are 21. I took both of my daughters to this office ages 5 & 7. They wouldn't allow me back in the room with my daughter for her procedure. 45 min she came out looking mortified and with tears rolling down her face. She later told me they held her down and told her she needed to stop crying or they weren't going to let her see me. The inside of the building looks like an old day care. Horrible dentist is a female with the last name Haaslo. Worst dentist I've met in my life!! She refused to let my daughter back there with her son, for an extraction, he's only four and she got in my daughter's face, yelling and arguing with her. What professional does that? Is she a real pediatric dentist? She acts that way in front of clients? Horrible place to get care at. I would highly recommend you not bring your kids here, if you truly care. My daughter feared they would extract a tooth with medication and they were so against her being there, makes you wonder what they do to the kids. From other reviews, they are hiding something. I was very impressed with the emergency services I received at this clinic few Saturdays ago. my seven year old son fell and fractured his two upper adult teeth while getting out of the pool. I immediately took him to phoenix children's hospital they placed sutures in his lip but asked me to take him to a dentist to secure and fix his broken teeth. I called our dentist but I only got an answering machine so I searched on the net and I found children's dental land, I called the office around 6 PM, they told me that they were closed for the day but because I had an emergency they would ask if the dentist would wait for me and he did. The receptionist was very nice she sensed the urgency in my voice and told me not to worry they would wait for me and to drive safely. ( how thoughtful ) once we arrived they took xrays, they teeth were moved from the socket. the secured them they fixed the broken part and attached the teeth together with a wire. we just went back today to remove the wire the teeth have healed nicely and we are going to have another check in three months to see if root canals are needed. I am very thankful, if they had not seen him that day and took such a good care of my son he may have lost his front teeth. My kids have never had cavities so I always have taken them to my own GP but today I switched them to children's dental land and I need a dentist who would be available when I have emergencies, my own dentist responded to my voice mail the next Monday which was too late. read more

Don't take your kids here!!!! I have been taking my kids here for many years but they are under new management now and it's horrible. I have had an appointment for my kids to get cavities filled for 2 weeks. They told me the cavities were bad and needed done urgently. Yet they scheduled them 2 weeks out. On a Saturday afternoon they call me 2 days before their appointment and tell me the new management doesn't want them filling cavities on permanent teeth therefore they can't see my kids who are 14 and 12 because they each have a cavity in an adult tooth. They proceed to tell me it is urgent that I find a dentist to do the work ASAP because on of the cavities infected so I should call my insurance and find someone to do thos soon. I asked why they waited to call me 2 days before and on a day most dentist offices aren't open and I was informed their new management just doesnt want them doing anything too advanced. This dentist is by far the best dentist I've ever encountered. I have had awful luck with dentists and my children. I have had a few dentist try to rip me off and be dishonest, telling me that my children need more dental work then they actually do. My children have asthma and they are on a lot of medications and it causes a lot of tooth decay. This dentist was honest and fair. Telling me that on baby teeth she will do less work because the girls will lose them anyway. Extremely honest. We live in the West Valley but I will gladly drive to Phoenix to see her. Schedule a morning appointment and you will be in and out in 30 to 45 minutes. Another thing they do that's very helpful, is they will schedule all of the work to be done on One day. So you can be there for one day get everything done. They work with your schedule, they are very nice and kind. Fair to great prices for uninsured patients. Excellent dentist. read more

This is the worst Dentist ever. My daughters had an appointment at 3:00 pm and one of them was not seeing or taken care of until 5:00 pm. They are too gentile with the kids, since the first time I went to see them I told them my 3 year is not the easiest kid to deal with since she was so scared of dentist. They told me no problem we know how to help them deal with the visits. Anyways they told me it was going to take 2 hrs to get her work done but in reality it took them like in hr and when she came out her mouth was a swollen. Since we were last penitents there they didn't bother to explain well the instructions on how to take care of her mouth we had to wait till they finished talking about personal life and when they finally notice we were there we asked them what we need to do. read more
