So I've been taking my son here for the past two years. He's now 4 1/2 and he absolutely adores his…read moredentist! The assistants are super sweet and always welcoming. I typically get seen within ten minutes of my appointment and the lobby keeps my son entertained. Today there was a bit of av wait but nowadays there's always a waiting time with COVID. So my son is very particular about his teeth being spaced (weird! I know) but the dentist took the time to explain it to him and reassured my 4 year old that he was in track and showed him the X-rays! This dentist is by far amazing, knowledgeable and extremely caring! I will come over and over again! I'm so happy to have found an amazing dentist that gives my son a god experience because I know. I despise going to the dentist. My son lets me floss his teeth and brushes everyday and night. It's insane how much a 4 year old can love his dental hygiene! I honestly believe it's because of his dentist! Thank you to this dental team for helping my household develop such amazing habits. Can't say enough how fabulous you all are!!!

1 Star I am…read moreextremely disappointed with our experience at Paseo Ranch Pediatric Dentistry. My daughter has two very large cavities that require treatment under anesthesia due to her sensory issues, and her procedure was just canceled last minute because the office did not receive the medical records they were requesting, it is especially frustrating because I was given a piece of paper with instructions to fax the medical-record requests to all of my daughter's doctors and specialists myself. I was essentially expected to coordinate the records between multiple medical offices on the dental office's behalf. I did everything I was asked to do, including sending the faxes, calling and emailing her specialists medical records department but the doctors' offices did not respond to the requests in time. Even my daughter's pediatrician's office commented that it was unusual for the parent to be responsible for coordinating and obtaining these records rather than the dental office handling the requests directly. I completely understand that medical clearance and records are important before anesthesia, and I want my daughter's procedure to be as safe as possible. However, I do not understand why the responsibility for obtaining records from multiple specialists was placed on the parent, especially when I had no control over whether those offices responded to the faxes. The most upsetting part is that my daughter's procedure was removed from the schedule at the last minute, despite the fact that she has two significant cavities that need to be treated urgently. Now she has to wait even longer for necessary dental treatment because of an issue that was outside of my control. As a parent, I did everything I was asked to do. I expected the dental office to work with her medical providers to obtain the necessary information rather than putting that responsibility entirely on me. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and has caused unnecessary stress and, most importantly, an additional delay in my daughter receiving the treatment she needs.

They then went on to further explain how they liked the motorized chair, the fun sunglasses which were used to block the light from their eyes, they got to pick the bubblegum flavor cleaning solution and the hygienist was funny and made them laugh. I like that the staff here is super friendly, our appointment was on time, I think it may have even been a few minutes early, the office has video games and a movie playing to keep the kids entertained while they sit in the waiting area and on the way out they gave us a gold coin to use in their toy / prize machine after our appointment. I'm so happy we decided to switch to Camelback Pediatric Dentistry, the last place we were at was such a stark difference from this, bad service, appointments were always 45 minutes or more late, the waiting room was dark. I can't see any reason I would ever need to go look for a different dentist for my child after finding the perfect one here! :-)

I get that they're trying to create a fun atmosphere for kids while they wait. My daughter is 2 and does not watch screens and there were screens everywhere. I realize I'm the minority with this. The tree in the middle is nice so I was having her point out the different animals in the tree. I appreciate that we had a private room for her first appointment, as I noticed several chairs in an open space. As expected, my daughter cried and was not a fan of getting her teeth looked at. The assistant and doctor were very kind and patient with her and took the time to explain everything to us and answer our questions. My daughter was happy to get a new toy at the end.

Appointment time integrity is extremely important, yet over the last five visits we have waited more than 30 minutes past our scheduled appointment time before being taken back. I said something this most recent time and overall for 2 kids to get their teeth cleaned and xray with exam was one hour. The cleaning is 3 minuets and the dentist floats around to up to 7 cleaning seats in a L shaped room. You will wait for the Dentist 10-20 minuets. The cleanings themselves last less than five minutes. The practice now feels over-scheduled and rushed, and the level of excellence we once experienced is dimming I hope they can turn around the over scheduling for longevity of their practice.
