Discovering Missy and her website, RoyalYorkies.com, was an absolute delight. One of the things…read morethat stood out to me was her approach to breeding. She's not someone with countless dogs in a kennel--it's clear her focus is on quality, love, and care. She only has her pet dogs, and they're treated like cherished family members. The warmth and dedication she shows to them shine through in every detail. Her dogs are impeccably groomed and cared for, which speaks volumes about the level of attention and affection she provides. Missy's passion and integrity are truly inspiring, and it makes Royal Yorkies feel much more like a community of love rather than just a business. Missy gave me Bella, and I couldn't be happier! Bella was already accustomed to using puppy pads when I brought her home, which made potty training so easy. It's clear Missy puts a lot of effort into ensuring her puppies are well-prepared for their new homes. I'm so glad I came across her site--it's refreshing to see someone who truly prioritizes the well-being of their dogs.

She wouldn't eat, was lethargic, was throwing up. She told me the leave food out for her and she was probably sad from leaving her brother. About 30 hours after I got her I had to rush her to the emergency vet (at 1am) because she became completely unresponsive. They saved her but said she was close to death. I told her about what happened and I feel like she was trying to blame me and that it was caused by something I did. The next week was more vet visits to try to figure out what was wrong with her. I only had her for 10 days I believe, but I really loved her and we were bonded. I told Mariya (the breeder aka Missy) the day before she died that there was something really wrong with her. I was told there was nothing she could do but pray for her. And then I was seemingly blocked and ignored!! Throughout the whole thing I felt alone in the situation. I took her to the vet again after that convo on the evening of the November 2nd and the vet told me to bring her back the next day to be hospitalized for the whole day. My heart was broken into pieces when I woke on nov 3, 2024 to find my little friend had passed away. The vet came to the official conclusion that she had a congenital abnormality that caused her to pass away. I spent thousands trying to save her. It was extremely traumatic to watch her despite my best efforts to save her, decline and then die. I am beyond crushed. A week later I'm still crying. In my opinion Mariya didn't seem to care about the puppy. But I really did. I have paraphrased what happened and will write a full review once I can bring myself to do so. I have retained an attorney and I am taking legal action. I would recommend caution when dealing with royal yorkies.

Was debating between a "farm" in the Sacramento region and Jam's, but saw red flags of likely a puppy mill at the other. Also, Jam took the time to talk to me because she wants to ensure that the pups are indeed going to great homes. Asked her if she had any pups available and she pointed me to the pup who is now my baby. His name is Bear (originally Wednesday), and I saw he was perfect. He is adorable and sweet and spunky. Drove down from Sacramento & got him in July 2023 and he will be 2 in February 2025. A lady stopped us on our walk the other day to say how much she was admiring him. Bear is the smallest of the bunch, but he is the head of the household. Thank you Jam!

We can't thank Jam enough for our sweet baby boy, Archie!…read more I have a soft spot for the yorkie breed. When my husband and I first met, I had a Yorkie named Maverick. We absolutely loved him and had no clue how lucky we were to have such a great pup. When he passed, we were heartbroken and after a few years adopted our pup, Isabella. She was a fearful rescue but after putting in the work, she's a great pup - though still stand off-ish and scared of people. At daycare, her reports cards always came home telling us she snuggled with her friends - two yorkies. It was then we decided that we'd eventually get her a yorkie sibling. When we finally got serious about adding a pup to our family, I started looking high and low for a reputable breeder. As someone who'd always rescued, I'd heard horror stories of bad breeders and am fairly certain that Isabella came from a backyard breeder before we adopted her. I was determined to find a breeder we could trust. We knew that with Isabella's fear issues, we couldn't have a second fearful dog that barked at everyone. Our hope was that we could find a well-socialized, happy puppy that might even rub off on Isabella. For that, we knew we needed to go with a breeder. I did extensive research on how to spot a bad breeder and felt like I knew enough to ask the right questions. Jam wasn't my first phone call. Before her, we spoke with a different breeder that came highly recommended from someone we met on vacation in wine country. After a few calls with that breeder, I saw several red flags and wouldn't move forward with her. Several more breeders later (& feeling more confident in what to look for), I found Jam's website. From my first phone call with Jam, I could tell that she LOVED dogs. She answered all my questions and then some. Importantly, she listened to what we were looking for in a pup. She asked questions about us, gave tips on how to evaluate a pup, and I never felt as though she was half-answering or dodging a question. She never pressured me to move forward. Best of all, her pups were raised in the home and even sleep in her room! When the puppies are 8 weeks old, they get introduced to the rest of the pack and socialize with her adult dogs. This was essential for us. With some conflicting obligations during the holidays, we couldn't pick him up until Dec 2 and so he stayed with Jam until he was 15 weeks old. He got an extra 3 weeks to socialize with the pack! We flew to the Bay Area to pick Archie up and from the moment we got there, we knew we had made the right choice. Archie has been such an angel! The absolute best disposition; friendly with other dogs and people. He is always so happy and boy is he SMART! He learned his name in one day - seriously - one! He's nearly all potty trained and he happily goes into his crate at night right next to his sister. He loves to explore and when things seem a tad too quiet, we find him sitting at the front window looking out into the front yard and sniffing. He loves chewing on his toys and rolling around in the grass in the backyard. And oh is he a daddy's boy - when he hears the car turning the corner, he starts jumping up and running towards the door. Although, he loves Isabella the most. From the moment he gets out of his crate in the morning and then all day long, he follows her, antagonizing her to play, snuggling up for naps, and watching out the window together. Archie was exactly what we - and Isabella - needed. A happy, sweet, BRAVE, inquisitive, funny, well-adjusted, healthy pup that completes our little family. I could go on and on about him and his cute personality. Thank you, Jam! It's been almost 5 months with him, and he is more than we hoped for. We absolutely love our sweet Archie!

And I didn't want just any cat - I wanted a cat that felt as right as my sweet Abby Cadabby did. Following a year of searching I finally found her with Cindy and Bay Area Savannah Cats. Our sweet Babou is not just the cat of my dreams, but also the long searched for missing piece for our family. And Cindy made this possible from start to finish. When I found her on Yelp and proceeded to cold text her about the possibility of adopting an older cat (since I knew we could only have one so an older, already socialized cat would be best) she answered quickly and to my surprise had several cats for adoption despite the fact that Savannah cats are quite expensive. She was extremely responsive, and open and honest about her dedication to making sure she found the perfect home for the cats that she clearly loved and treated impeccably. Her excellent knowledge of Savannah cats in general as well as her own unique cats helped greatly to guide me to the cat that would best suit our unique family (which includes young energetic children). After the decision she was made, she continued to be extremely thorough and responsive during the adoption process (which occurred mainly via text and email), including providing me with many requested photos, answering my many many questions, arranging a meeting with me and my kids, and getting our Babou spayed and updating her vaccinations. She kept me informed every step of the way - and what really stood out to me was the fact that it was very clear through the entire process that Cindy wasn't just conducting a business arrangement - she was very clearly ensuring that a cat that she loved deeply was being sent to a home that would love and treat her as well as Cindy did. The gorgeous Savannahs Cindy raises are extremely well loved and cared for - and the proof is in the exceptional quality of her cats. Babou truly is an exceptional cat - not only is she GORGEOUS, but she is in great health and adjusted to our home quickly and has already proven to be a beloved member of our family. I highly recommend Cindy and her Savannah Cats for anyone looking for an amazing cat to add to their family!!!!

I undertook a significant amount of research on Golden breeders in the extended area, focusing specifically on hobby breeders that had wonderful sir and dam lines that were well documented and highly reviewed. Tammy and Dream Golden Retrievers fit the bill. From the first series of communications, Tammy was awesome. It is so clear that she loves Goldens, and she provided us with a WEALTH of information. Everything from how to prepare our home and children, to the best vet to select, to the best trainers in our area. I can't imagine doing this on our own after having Tammy's support. Visiting the litter it was clear she had such an amazing Mom (Willow) and Dad (Doc) - https://k9data.com/pedigree.asp?ID=1081443. Tammy was very thoughtful in selecting our puppy with our input, and our sweet girl Scout has been wonderful. She is a blast at home, very smart and picks up to training quickly, and even our trainer has told us that she "fell in love" with Scout! We provide a VERY strong recommendation for Tammy and Dream Golden Retrievers!!!!! Some pictures of our beautiful Scout :).
