I have a 3 year old border collie mix who has long luxurious fur that ends up tangled in knots & every other place I've taken her for grooming has practically shaved her down all over. That was not the case this time! They agreed she needed some trimming, but I told them to do what they needed to keep her tangle free & comfortable. My bubs is so handsome thanks to the Muddy Paws team! Saying that I'm impressed doesn't do justice to how wonderful of a job they did to groom him! It was Obi's first ever grooming session. We've had such busy schedules that we've been doing small trims and clean ups on our own leading up to this moment. We have been trying to get him acclimated with baths and trims but we felt that it was the right time for the professionals to take over. We brush him every day to avoid any matting but his hair gotbso long that he definitely needed a cut. He had matting on his ears pretty bad from his cone and although his ear fluff couldn't be saved he still looked amazing. My mini Aussie is sensitive to many people, and she had a bad experience with another groomer who cut her pretty badly. If you read far enough of my original review (below), I gave then 4 stars originally but have no choice but to change it to 2 stars. We found a cut on Dot, likely from shaving her down in that area hard enough--I've attached a picture. It's not small at all and I understand that things happen but it would have been nice to have this communicated at pick up rather than us having to find it ourselves. I'm very upset that I'm now back on the hunt for a new groomer :( Overdue post here! I usually wait some time to write a review anyway. My family moved to Brentwood in 2013 and since then have added two family members, Dip and Dot. We've taken them to SOOO many different groomers over these years--even spanning out to Pittsburg. All I can say is, I wish we found this place sooner!! They do an amazing job with Dip and Dot, they get the cut right, they smell amazing and they even usually put bandanas on them which I think is just so adorable! I have to mention too that my family is even able to pick our dogs up by noon, if not a little bit after. Scheduling a grooming appointment is also SOOO easy. You can either call, which I have done before and they're very friendly, or you can text, which is usually what I do. They also send a reminder text the day before the grooming appointment. The only reason that I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because the pricing was pretty confusing for me. For context, Dip is a 24 pound Maltese/Lhasa Apso mix while Dot is a 10 pound Maltese--definitely thought that Dot would be cheaper but apparently she costs more to work on because of her size... I will definitely ask about this again, but that part didn't really make sense. Overall, amazing groomers!! Love them. read more

Today, I took my two babies to Muddy Paws in Livermore, next to I-580 Safeway. This was their first haircut, they are 5 months old and can be very wiggly and hyper. My puppies were so happy to be there and I had a hard time getting them to leave. The owner knows what she is doing and we are blessed to have the new location in Livermore.
