Besides their expertise and efficiency, Dr. Bellmund and her team were kind and compassionate--just what I needed at a time when I was worried and concerned. All that and--the pricing is significantly lower than a recent estimate I received from a local private-practice veterinarian clinic. Buddy is now a happier cat.  I'm seeing a positive change in his personality.  Thank you, Joybound, for all you do for pets and pet parents.  I am grateful.

And I didn't want just any cat - I wanted a cat that felt as right as my sweet Abby Cadabby did. Following a year of searching I finally found her with Cindy and Bay Area Savannah Cats. Our sweet Babou is not just the cat of my dreams, but also the long searched for missing piece for our family. And Cindy made this possible from start to finish. When I found her on Yelp and proceeded to cold text her about the possibility of adopting an older cat (since I knew we could only have one so an older, already socialized cat would be best) she answered quickly and to my surprise had several cats for adoption despite the fact that Savannah cats are quite expensive. She was extremely responsive, and open and honest about her dedication to making sure she found the perfect home for the cats that she clearly loved and treated impeccably. Her excellent knowledge of Savannah cats in general as well as her own unique cats helped greatly to guide me to the cat that would best suit our unique family (which includes young energetic children). After the decision she was made, she continued to be extremely thorough and responsive during the adoption process (which occurred mainly via text and email), including providing me with many requested photos, answering my many many questions, arranging a meeting with me and my kids, and getting our Babou spayed and updating her vaccinations. She kept me informed every step of the way - and what really stood out to me was the fact that it was very clear through the entire process that Cindy wasn't just conducting a business arrangement - she was very clearly ensuring that a cat that she loved deeply was being sent to a home that would love and treat her as well as Cindy did. The gorgeous Savannahs Cindy raises are extremely well loved and cared for - and the proof is in the exceptional quality of her cats. Babou truly is an exceptional cat - not only is she GORGEOUS, but she is in great health and adjusted to our home quickly and has already proven to be a beloved member of our family. I highly recommend Cindy and her Savannah Cats for anyone looking for an amazing cat to add to their family!!!!

Over the years she and I went on many hikes together. She was always by my side. So very loyal. We added our Sons dog, a Shepsky, also adopted from Coppers Dream, to our family, as he was always traveling. Those two dogs spent many years together, always protective of me and of each other on our many hikes. I would periodically send in photos to CD, and always had a friendly reply. Almost like a family. One morning, up in ALanden Quicksilver Park, going up a steep narrow trail, they suddenly half turned and let rip with ferocious barks. A cougar came racing down the hill, I guess it wanted us for breakfast. Nope. Their utter ferocity in their barking and stance was one obstacle. The second was Bear Spray. That cougar decided quickly that this would not be a good way to start the day. Those two adopted dogs were Loyal, lovable, Protective, Goofy. Play ball? You bet. They loved swimming, exploring and making friends. My lab lived until she was 15. Our Shepsky passed a year or so before. Coppers Dream has always been professional, friendly and easy to approach. Now, I'm back looking for one more dog. Our young, female GSD is lonely without her big sister and big brother..

When I doubled back months after adoption with the female volunteer about PJ's awful demeanor, she commented that he has anger issues towards women and had to cut him off herself months prior. We did not receive any medical records for our cats including any microchip information. We were never told that one of our cats was extremely sick with respiratory issues when Fuzzy Butt Rescue first obtained them (I found this out 1.5 yrs into ownership after issues had already arose). We were never told that male, neutered cats are prone to urinary tract infections or we would have adopted female cats; I am a solo mom with 100% of everything for my child so my plate is full as is. We were never told that a key piece of healthy lifestyle for male, neutered cats in preventing UTIs is room to run around before my 10-yo son and I brought them home to our 700 sq ft condo. When confronted with health issues with our pets, PJ refused to make any effort to help us get them care. He was insulting and called me "cheap" for not being willing to spend thousands of dollars on testing despite that I took our cat to 2 emergency clinic visits after working hours the first of which was around midnight before a big job I had booked for the next day. He said he would take them back vs actually helping us to resolve the issue. Our cat's UTI was resolved with a $10 homeopathic product on Amazon that has over 10K reviews and a 4.4 star rating. He called that product "a hoax" but it worked in ONE day once I had time to stay home with the cat and treat him. PJ insulted me for even thinking of trying the homeopathic product vs agreeing to thousands of dollars of testing as a first resort. This guy is the absolute worst. If you want a pleasant and professional pet adoption process, go somewhere that has built a documented reputation in that vein which provides the necessary medical history on adoption (I wasn't aware there was any or I would have asked!). It's March 2023 and I'm looking at our cat's 9 page vet record now in after we got them in Feb 2021 and am shaking my head. This cat has major health problems. I had 2 cats as a child for almost 20 yrs with none of these issues. My son was crying in his sleep last night with a nightmare about losing our cat. Screw you and your judgment and negligence, PJ.

We wandered in and tried to get a kitten here. After a few days I asked when we could come pick up the cat. Ashley Ascencio and PJ McKovsky responded with rude/angry/mansplaining/outright mean emails, saying we couldn't have the cat because we'd let him go outside. Could do without the cat shaming lecture, it's not an effective way to educate people. Nasty email: "If you're next step is to go buy an animal instead of self reflecting then that speaks highly of you. We feel even more solid in our decision. Please explain to your child you do not value the lives and well being of your animals and I think he'll understand our decision too." Bad experience at this place, Avoid unless you want to deal with mean people. I also agree that they are withholding the medical history of the cats. My husband thought the cat seemed sick. I thought he was just bored and depressed in the cage, but I saw later on the facebook page that this bunch of cats all had extensive medical issues. No one informed me of that at all when we filled out the paperwork on him.

We sent…read moreour 4 month puppy to Gabby for a board and train to address fearful reactivity and aggression. We now realize that we should have asked for more specifics, but we were focused on training and it didn't cross our minds that inhumane living conditions might be an issue. Updates via text indicated the training was helping. When we set up a call to plan for the the transition home, because my parents would need to handle her alone soon after, Gabby told us not to overthink it. But when we met for the return home hand-off, it became clear that we had made a horrible mistake in trusting Gabby. We watched her lift our puppy by the neck with a slip lead into her car. She casually mentioned that it had taken her a while to learn the difference between our puppy's screams for "I want out of the crate" v. "I need water" or "I need to pee". When our puppy got home, she slept near her water bowl for several days, sometimes resting her head on it - something we had never seen before. She was 7 lbs when she was handed to Gabby, and 6 lb 4 oz when she got home. Gabby had switched her to food that is specifically not recommended for puppies. We could feel every vertebrae in her spine and she moved awkwardly, like she hadn't walked or stretched regularly. She had also made no progress on reactivity at home, and we had to make an emergency call to Gabby to take her back for a couple days, because the plan we had in place for transition fell wildly short of what was needed. When Gabby came to pick her up, our puppy cowered and hid. Gabby lifted her by the neck with the slip lead again. We got her home as soon as possible, and are now working with a behaviorist to overcome the original issues, plus the added fear and anxiety from her time with Gabby. When we contacted Gabby with our concerns, she stood by her actions. Our hearts hurt for our puppy and any other dogs she has treated inhumanely. Updated after Gabby's response to clarify that our concerns are in fact with inhumane treatment that we witnessed directly and that Gabby described to us. We were aware going into this relationship that we would have ongoing work to do with our pup, but never in our wildest dreams imagined that our trainer would laugh about learning our puppy's scream for water, lift her several feet in the air by the slip lead, or tell us that it would be appropriate for her to fly two feet through the air as a result of a correction. Gabby still has not responded to our requests for detailed information about how much time was actually spent training each day v. in the crate or confirmed that she had water in her crate. We only had Gabby's short text messages to rely on for information during the board and train, but it became clear once our puppy came home that she was absolutely terrified of Gabby. If we had known what was going on, we would have brought her home much sooner.

I rarely write reviews, but people need to be warned…read more I paid $3,500 for a French Bulldog from this breeder and was told the dog was AKC registered. After reviewing the paperwork myself, I had serious concerns about its legitimacy. Now, at just THREE YEARS OLD, my dog is losing bladder control and quickly becoming paralyzed. This has been absolutely devastating for my family--especially my youngest daughter, who is heartbroken watching her dog decline like this.(myself included) From the beginning, my dog has had ongoing health issues, including severe allergies requiring constant vet visits, Cytopoint injections, and expensive specialty food. The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming. I've since learned more about serious conditions like IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease), which can be more common when breeding is not done responsibly. Based on my experience, this raises major concerns. I will also say this: my interaction with this seller felt unusual. Meetings were arranged in public locations rather than at a residence, and I was never given a clear sense of where the dogs were being raised. Looking back, that lack of transparency is something I would not overlook again. In my opinion, charging a premium price for a dog that develops severe, disabling health conditions this early in life is unacceptable. Do your homework. Ask hard questions.
