My teenage son made an appointment for 12 noon. I called ahead to make sure I knew where to park (across the street by Einstein's bagels) as they have free parking for an hour. The staff at front made sure my son was seen even though they had trouble locating the appointment. They were busy but we did not have to wait. I bought the student package which gives a $10 discount on haircuts if you buy 6 and pay all at once. I love a good deal! They offered me a free water or budlight which I thought was nice. I'm leaving this review on behalf of my boyfriend because he doesn't have yelp and this needs to be seen. My boyfriend made an appointment on Sunday morning for a cut and color service. He asked for a blonde buzz cut, which online "starts at $150," I would personally assume it would be around $150 because dying a buzz cut shouldn't require that many products or time. First, he put the bleach on his long, very curly hair, which caused it to be patchy at best. He then gave very specific instructions for his haircut of "2 on the side and 5 on top." He left the salon with an uneven haircut, and patchy/uneven blonde going all around his head. I really can't believe they allowed him to leave like that. In addition, he paid $205, for a second bleaching service that he didn't get to get to his desired blonde, because he didn't have the materials and his color specialist wasn't in. When these issues were brought up, they offered to fix it, but at this point he, nor did I, trust them to fix anything. He ended up offering a refund for ... the service he was charged for and didn't receive. Since then, he has gotten no response. I'm posting this because it was something he was excited to do and a luxury for a man to go get their hair dyed in a salon, but he ended up spending more than he'd wished with a haircut and dye job that he had to get fixed elsewhere, which obviously cost more money. Not only do I think he deserves the refund for the service not recieved, because why was he charged in the first place, but a refund for everything, because letting someone leave with a clearly uneven job on all accounts is sloppy and unprofessional. read more

My son experienced very bad service in this shop. He showed his stylist how he would like haircut to be, but it turned out a whole different haircut. Also, is it normal to pay before getting service? When my son asked about how much for a haircut but the staff refused to show the price list and just told it's $50. Including taxes and tips (my son picked 10%), he would pay $60 but that's fine. When he tried to pay by card, the card machine automatically changed to charge 20% tips that caused him to pay almost $70 at the end. It is TOTALLY A SCAM! read more

Worst barber shop in Atlanta. DO NOT GO HERE. They messed up my hair so badly that I had to buzz it all off since it looked so terrible. Haircut looked nothing liked the picture I showed the barber before the cut. Customer service was awful too. 2 stars because i have booked a haircut here 3 times and have only seen my preferred barber (with appointment) once. The haircut i got was amazing, although the barber was 40 mins late - so i had no problem with the price or the fact that you pay and tip for the haircut before the service is provided. The second and third time i returned i was told by the receptionist my barber wasn't there - why was i aloud to schedule an appointment? Yeah, idk.. They tried to call me 45 mins before the third appointment and not at all before the second. By the way their cancelation policy is 6 hrs before - i guess not for them though haha. She said it started off like a hot shave and then they put a mask on his face told him he was done and charged $70. Sooo now he has a facial he didn't need and no beard trim. My wife and I live far west metro, about 50 miles out from Atlanta, but we were driving in to work on a set near midtown, and I needed a cut bad, so I googled reviews of barber shops in the area and out of the many this one has good solid reviews. Salon is inside an older home with other businesses. It's not a large salon but it's well appointed. Called in and was able to get an appointment for today. My stylist was Jeceon, very personable gent with great sense of humor. My hair had gotten pretty long because I and my wife do some acting gigs and I had to have my hair longer for several different sets, but I got tired of it looking so 80's so I wanted it pretty short again. I showed a pic to Jeceon of what I wanted done and snip snip, 30 minutes later my hair looked exactly how I wanted. All of the staff there was friendly and professional, very good experience and highly recommend. read more

Got a haircut here because there were good reviews and it wasn't too far from where I was staying. Overall I'd say I had a good experience. Was a bit disappointed that I waited a long time beyond my appointment (appt. was at 4:30pm and didn't get seated til 5:10-ish). However, the guy that I cut my hair did a really great job with the skin fade and overall you can tell he really put a lot of care and precision into his work. Haircuts here are a bit more on the expensive side; the website said $35, but I ended up paying ~$45 with tip (not sure if more was charged due to me using Square, but it was $41 on the app when they swiped my card). If I were to get another haircut around Atlanta, I'd probably check another place out first because I'm not entirely sure if it was worth the money to me --- however, they definitely do really good haircuts here, I'm just a bit more picky with where and how I end up dropping $40 on a haircut lol. read more

Thank god we're wearing masks everywhere because this barber shop has ruined my beard. I came here after a friend recommended it and when I arrived I showed a photo of myself of what I wanted my beard and hair to look like. They did a decent job on the haircut (though they took more of the front than I asked for) but with the beard i went from a full normal beard to having it sculpted down into a chin strap and now I look like I belong on the jersey shore. I've taken my 16 year old to Eclectic Barbershop twice now and have been very pleased with the quality and friendliness of the shop both times. He's going through a shaved head look with a beard and they happily provide this service, as well as shaping up his beard a bit. The shop is located in Midtown, however, there is parking in back, which is nice for a change. Although on busy days you may have to wait for a spot to open up. They have appointment booking online, which I used both times and didn't have to wait. There is an entrance at the back of the building, as well as the front door entrance. I was offered a bottle of water to drink while waiting for my son's haircut today. Nice touch! read more

My regular barber is on Buford Highway, but since I moved to Midtown, I'm on the hunt for a closer, local barber. Historically, I've only had male Asian barbers and before that Russian barbers. I've tried others, but they usually end up not knowing how to cut asian male hair. I got Kevin on my visit. He was very friendly and the whole barbershop in general was a very warm and inviting atmosphere. We chatted a lot about old-school basketball, so I had a good time. The haircut itself was very good. It ended up being $40. So, it's double my usual cost. But, maybe that's just how it is in midtown. read more
