I was hoping for a quick coffee and breakfast sandwich to-go, but I made the mistake of committing to over a 20-minute drive thru line. My husband and I ordered a peach guava iced tea each, a breakfast sandwich, and a breakfast burrito. The price is reasonable. The drinks were tasty, but had way too much ice in it. Literally no more than five sips and the drink was finished, and we had 16 oz drinks. The food was good for it being a quick sandwich and burrito. I'll stick to my usual Cutters Point location. read more

The coffee was super delicious - perfectly roasted. I had the seasonal pecan latte and it was such a delicious treat. The roasting was perfectly balanced - and there was just enough sweetener...no sugar rushes here. The treats are from Alki bakery - which is great - small businesses supporting small businesses. The staff were super nice and approachable. There was plenty of comfortable seating - tables and deep seated couches. The bathroom was super clean and so was the rest of the cafe. Thank you for the great service and delicious coffee. I love that they encourage cash payments too - supporting small business starts as small as paying cash. read more

What a charming environment. Lots of tables and chairs available. Some extra comfy chairs by the fireplace are also available. They have a a small food menu and grab and go things In the cooler. Parfait, breakfast sandwiches and the like. The baristas were very kind and helpful. I ordered a 12 oz cold brew with oat milk and a couple pumps of simple syrup. A great start to the morning. A friend of mine told me that Cutters Point Coffee used to be in Tucson and it was her favorite, so when I went to Tacoma, I had to try! It did not disappoint! The coffee was smooth. omg I can't believe I been waiting in the drive thru line for more of 5 min just because the girl in the window was in a big talk with a customer. She stay in the window talking and laughing with the customer and then the customer just gone... customer wasn't waiting anything, she already given their order. why she think the other customers in the line can stay waiting just because she have a lot to said!! they have good coffee and it's a cute building. i order red bull drinks on occasion. i can't wait in their drive through in the morning because they are very very slow, so i will only if it's mid day and empty. i have consistently felt like an inconvenience to the baristas at the counter which has pushed me further from frequenting this business. it is disappointing as i would like to more because it's a local business, but i find myself trusting starbucks with my coffee and treatment as a customer. tacoma law enforcement frequents both of these locations and i have never seen them treated with the same attitude as I have with my friends. read more

Zero stars if I could. Wow, in line for coffee at 4:55, get to the front of the line at 5:00 and they refuse to serve us because they close at 5:00. If we weren't waiting in line for 5 minutes I would totally get it. Where's the customer service here? Please reconsider before patronizing this establishment. read more

The coffee was okay nothing special. The staff was kind and attentive. The draw back of this location is there are not many outlets, and it gets pretty busy at this location. There is plenty of seating but only a couple working outlets. Makes me want to skip this location and go too the McDonalds across the building to do studying and work. read more

There are usually only two girls working during the morning doing both walk ins and drive through and they're always hustling! Tried this for the first time this morning. The coffee is good and hot. They made a mistake on our order and accidentally charged us twice for one drink, we brought it up and they fixed it. However, we came because someone had recommended their breakfast burritos...they were about $5 and had no meat in them. $5 for a tortilla filled with egg, peppers and potatoes is too expensive. The flavor wasn't good either. Overall I would recommend the coffee (even if it is a bit overpriced) but not their food options. Staff were friendly. read more

When I went I up to see what happened they immediately acknowledged they had forgotten my order and gave me my drink along with a coupon for a free drink next time! So considerate. I normally love Cutters. Coffee is great. I've gone to pretty much all their locations. This one location specifically has gone downhill. I've had to sit at the drive thru for more than 30 minutes multiple times over the last few months. It got annoying so I stopped coming here for my drink. Then today, because work is close by, my group had a phone order for a few drinks. Whoever my staff talked to today took our order then pretty much shamed her, basically giving her attitude about how busy they are (long line at drive thru, too many customers inside cafe) and that they can't be doing phone orders anymore. Great. Tell us that before you rudely take our order so we can take our business elsewhere. You don't have to guilt just because you don't know how to handle a crowd. It's too bad. We normally pick Cutters for our group orders which we do multiple times a month. I wanna give you the benefit of the doubt considering covid has made it difficult for businesses but it might be time to venture off and try different cafes for our next group order. read more

I typically have a really good experience here. Sadly, today was a complete joke. Sat in the drive through for at least 5 minutes, has to shout hello at the open window service. I work just a few doors down so I frequent cutters quite often. I love it there! The baristas are fantastic and I love to talk with them. All the regulars feel like family there. Last year I went to this store to get large containers of coffee for a meeting. It took about 20 minutes to get them, as they had to brew extra coffee. I was told that in the future I should call ahead and they could have it ready for me in advance and I wouldn't have to wait so long. Fast forward one year. Yesterday I called ahead, as I was told to, and ordered 4 travel containers of coffee (2 regular, 2 decaf), and 2 travel containers of hot water for tea, and the fixings to go with it. I asked if I should pay ahead of time to guarantee my order, and was assured I did not need to, and that they would have it ready at 8:30am, my requested time. This morning I arrived there at 8:30am, paid my $95, and waited. And waited. The containers had not been filled ahead of time, and they had to brew both regular and decaf coffee to finish my order. Then they couldn't find a cap to seal my last container. I was told they had had a busy morning, and that's why my order hadn't been filled. So I followed their directions to order in advance, and instead of waiting 20 minutes like I did last year when I hadn't ordered in advance, I waited 30 minutes this morning for my order. They offered to refund part of my money, but I explained that wouldn't be fair to the company, and all I wanted was to get my order and leave. The one woman working on my order kept standing there insisting she do a refund and I finally said "I don't want a refund, could you PLEASE just go finish my order!!!" She did, and I left the store at the exact same time I was supposed to have the coffee at the event, 15 minutes away. Next time I will place an advance order at another company. read more
