I would give -10 stars if possible!!! I went in for a haircut and specifically called ahead to make sure they had someone experienced with cutting hair extensions. I was VERY clear I have long extensions and just wanted a nice trim while keeping my length. The receptionist assured me they had someone "really good." When I got there, I explained everything again to Blanca (the stylist), showed her my extensions, told her I wanted LONG hair -- just cleaned-up ends. She started cutting and right away I noticed she kept dropping her tools on the dirty floor covered in hair... then picking them up and using them on my hair without cleaning or sanitizing anything. That alone made me super uncomfortable, but I didn't speak up because I was nervous about offending her and risking an even worse haircut. While she was cutting, I literally kept telling her it was getting too short... and she kept cutting anyway. At the end she asked if I liked it -- I said no, it's too short and my extensions are damaged. Her response? "It'll grow back in a month." Girl... these are 24" Bellami extensions I paid $1,488.44 for. Good quality hair. Not something you just shrug off. I called back and had to wait until Tuesday for the owner, Teresa, to step in. The haircut was CHOPPED. Blanca used a blade instead of scissors and left random pieces longer than others. She took about 4 inches off when I specifically asked for just the ends. Completely ruined my extensions. To make it worse, my birthday party is this Friday and now my hair looks terrible. Teresa's "solution" was to cut the little extensions sticking out even shorter to match the bad cut -- basically ruin them more. Then she refused to pay for my extensions and suggested I buy new ones on Amazon so she could install them. Be serious... I paid for quality Bellami hair, not cheap replacements. She initially offered a refund for the cut and blow dry, which I agreed to. But when I got to the desk? Suddenly it changed -- I only got $35 back when my total service was $245 plus tip. Customer service is trash, accountability is nonexistent, and my hair (and money) are gone. Do NOT come here -- and definitely don't let Blanca cut your hair. read more

Best salon I've ever been to. It's always got a super fun atmosphere and everyone that works there always looks like they love their job. Diana has been so patient with me (I'm handicapable) She cuts my hair in styles that are easy for me to do on my own and I leave there feeling beautiful. She also does my nails too. I did gel and she suggested such a cute design I got many compliments. I highly recommend this salon. Everyone is great from the receptionist to the owner. read more

This salon is spacious, very clean and organized. The stylists dressed in matching black outfits give it a professional vibe. The receptionist is very sweet and accommodating. Sadly, I cannot report on the quality of their services. I had made an appointment for mani/pedi and when I arrived I was told that the nail technician was running a little late with her previous client, which is fine; however, 20+ minutes later I was still waiting with no update in sight, so I cancelled the appointment and left. I understand that I was just a new client, but I don't think that keeping someone waiting for almost half an hour is a good way to gain a new clientele. I wish them the best and I'll simply take my business elsewhere. read more

Just went for first mani pedi since pandemic. I thought I would get back into my biweekly routine and today was testing the waters. She couldn't speak English and that made for a very boring experience. Then she could not paint within the nail bed so I opted for no color on the fingers. Made my mind up to not return to my biweekly routine. Have been getting hair done by Teresa for over 10 years will still do that. read more

I went in here to get two from highlights. They charged &30 dollars for two highlights on a string of hair. Then they asked me if I wanted a toner and said it was an additional charge! I never heard of that before. They left my hair orange. What's terrible place this is. Do not go to this salon, they will rip you off. They wore going to charge for washing my hair!! I'm only giving one star because I have to give a star. I recently moved to the area and I was looking for a new salon to get all my styling done. I was there last week Thursday for my first pampering after I gave birth. I went in for a gel manicure, pedicure, hair wash and trim. I had not written a review earlier as I had not blow dried my hair until today. The minute I started blow drying my hair I realized something was off. By the time I finished I was able to see what a terrible job the employee at this location did on my hair. I asked for her to trim very little and make sure to leave it in a V cut like I had it. Instead of the employee coming forward and being honest that she did not know how to complete this style trim she decided to proceed with making me her experiment. My hair is uneven, one side is longer than the other. On each side you see some strands of hair are longer than others. The V cut she left consists of 3 strands of hair. Not only did i mention I wanted to keep my length but now I will have to go and try to have someone to fix her mess. Which will of course cause me to loose a lot more length than I anticipated. This will be my first and last time I step foot in the location. The complete lack of professionalism from the hairstylist only sets the tone for this location. read more

First time in my life I went to a salon that request an advance deposit if $50.00 Really?

My first time here and I'm glad I came. They booked me a last minute appointment. I didn't really know what I wanted going in. I knew a cut and some kind of color would be involved. I left with a cut, blow dry, root color, and partial highlights. YARA did an amazing job. I didn't think she could do the color I wanted based on what my hair looked like when I walked in and she exceeded my expectations. I definitely recommend her. Love it! read more

Had my gel manicure and regular pedicure done with Liz. She was phenomenal. Wayyyy better than any other place in Homestead.

These people think they're located in the middle of Brickell or maybe coral gables !! Their prices are ridiculous; not comparable to the rest of the area. Yes, the salon is very nice, presentable and professional looking but that does not make it worth spending $55 for acrylic refill?!?!? I was in shock. No, I did not have ANYTHING special done whatsoever, no design or special acrylic powder. Just regular nails with gel polish. Total came out to be $55. The break down was as follows: $22 for the refill, $18 for the gel polish, $10 for FILING my nails into coffin shape which I already had to begin with and $5 more for having the ring finger nails done with one of those glittery gel polishes color. That was my first and last time going there. Never again. read more

Not a good manicure/pedicure place. They do not clean under nails or toes, seemed very quick and like the girls didn't know how to actually give a mani/pedi. Cut my finger and my friends toe, both of us were bleeding. They charged me extra for a nail polish without even letting me know it was a $5 up charge. $28 for a gel manicure and $25 for a pedicure.. plus the $5 extra. And a tip. Will not be back due to the lack of experience & pricing. read more

I'm usually a hair cuttery kind of girl who always finds a flaw in my service until I decided to yelp something and found this salon. Jovanny was amazing! He gave me the best shampoo ever! Adding a little massage at the end. He made me feel super comfortable even though this was my first time there and I wasn't a regular which is why I never liked the ideas of salons because I know how snotty they can be if you aren't a regular. I walked in to get my first ever set of nails. I asked how much it would cost me for a full set with a chrome effect. I was told the set itself costs $50 and an extra $20 for the chrome finish. Already I felt like it was a tad overpriced, but due to my lack of experience getting my nails done, I accepted and allowed them to initiate the process. The lady waited until after she started the set to inform me that chrome needed to be done with Gel, which was going to be an extra $15. I will not complain about the way nails turned out, because they are beautiful and the employee really took her time and paid attention to detail. However, I feel like I was taken advantage of. I called several different nail salons and all of them gave me a quote of $50 for the same exact set !!! There is no reason why I should have had to pay $85 plus tip!! I ended up spending $90 on a set of nails... that is unheard of!! I don't know if they're pricing is truly this expensive or if they just hustled me because it was my first time, but regardless I would not recommend this place!! Wanted to give this place a try because it was recommended by my coworkers and my usual salon was booked. But i regret it. First I had to call like 6 times thorough out the day to finally get an answer and make an appointment. The receptionist isn't friendly she's a little rude over the phone and in person as well, she needs to learn to smile. I mean it's the first person you see when you walk in meaning it's the first impression you get from the place. I think they need someone else. Another problem is that they don't have a large selection of gel color. The receptionist never explained to me the pricing of each time thing and it wasnt posted like most placers so I feel like they charge what they feel like I ended paying like about 75 didn't bother asking grumpy receptionist for a breakdown once she told me the total I just wanted to get out. They are way more expensive than most places in town. For the same services at the nail salon I usual go to it's around 55 people are nicer more color options and better quality of work. I wouldn't recommend this places there is other better nail places in homestead. read more

The salon has a great atmosphere and looks very nice on the inside and the ladies were very friendly and courteous upon my arrival. The prices are a bit steep to be in the Homestead area but the ladies are good from what I saw. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is due to the fact that I showed the stylist a picture of the cut and she did not really mimic what I showed her. For one, she cut my hair way too short and second I asked for "beach waves" and showed her the picture but she went ahead and gave me some curly sue looking curls which I hated. I proceeded to tell her, I'm going to smooth out these curls because they're way too curly and she's just replied "oh okay" instead of asking me if I wanted her to fix it. I went home and literally brushed the hell out of those curls and I still didn't like it. I paid $65 for a cut and blow dry only and I usually pay $10 less in another salon and I get a better cut. Maybe it was the stylist idk.... I also asked after my cut how much would the keratin treatment be and it was a whopping $220! And she cut my hair literally shoulder length which I was astonished to hear it was that much for shoulder length hair. I wouldn't steer you away from this place because it's a nice place with good stylists however, I heard Theresa was good so maybe try her or some other reputable stylists that people are reviewing but be prepared to pay good money. read more

Visiting this salon it was the biggest mistake I made. First I asked the owner for a haircut I told her I wanted layers in my hair but don't cut more than two inches from the bottom she ended up cutting 7in then she does the ombré balayage technique and she ended up using some teasing technique that broke my hair it hurt so much to brush the knots out now my hair looks so ghetto like a freaking two color flag not the gradual highlighted that I showed her in the pic and now my hair look like broom burned and lifeless with way too many split ends and to top it all of before she began doing my hair I ask her how much she was gonna charge me for all and it was completely different at the end because ended up charging me exactly double I don't know how she did the calculation read more

I rarely write reviews but when it's worth it I do. I have been going to Coral Gables to the same place for over 5 years even living in Homestead. I am very picky with my nails and will not give my business to anyone that I do no think does an excellent job. The one who regularly does my nails went on vacation and I was desperate for a manicure. I called InStyle salon; the same day I got an appointment and the receptionist was very pleasant spite what I read in the reviews. I got an appointment the same day with one of the nicest people I've ever met. Her name is Claudia and I had gel mani and pedicure. Her skills are on point and after years of driving to the Gables I found a new place to go. I am glad not have listen to the negative reviews. I wish people would write more positive reviews when they have a nice experience it's a shame we only remember to write the bad. I saw with my own eyes how this family business is a gem. Had a first appointment with Teresa and will be back for sure! I have very fine hair and have a hard time finding someone who can do something with it. She not only gave me a great cut but a great medium blonde w/highlights. They use excellent products and operate a nice casual but professional salon without a lot of drama that can plague salons I have experienced elsewhere. While coloring I had time to notice others getting work done and everyone looked better leaving than when they came in too! Price is about what you would expect for the services provided and to walk away feeling great! Thank you! read more
