I was pretty happy with my haircut which should cost about $40, but $60 after a fade and mustache and beard cleanup are a little too steep. It's interesting that some of the barbershops in this area are closed on Saturdays. read more

Walked in looking for a hot towel shave. Didn't realize that the price was ridiculous until after I asked for it. 65 dollars is crazy to ask for a good shave, let alone a mediocre one. The guy who took care of me was nice, and likely tried his best. But the shave was bad. Dry, dull razor scraping across my face. I could just tell that he had not done this type of barbering much before. Would not recommend this service as a walk-in. Perhaps another barber in their shop provides a better service, but I don't know. read more

Been coming here for about a year. I tip well, and am pretty easy going. Got annoying to come here because Arturo, the owner, would double-book appointments. That leaves me waiting over half an hour sometimes for him to finish. When I finally decided to ask him why he wasn't honoring his appointments, he blamed it on the new guy he hired. So I try coming back later. He double books me again. This time he says it's my problem I'm not willing to wait. He's always been a bit rude, but I chalked it up to just being part of his charm. Nah, he's just rude and doesn't seem to care about his customers. read more

This barber shop is on a completely different level than others in the neighborhood. Arthur is a master. A real perfectionist. I get a straight edge shave, head and face. Some other shops reuse blades (gross but true). Arthur uses two fresh blades per shave - one for the head, one for the face. He is exact and precise. A craftsman. Arguably the best shave I've ever had. Worth every penny. read more

I've been coming here for about 5 years, and even though I have moved farther away I always make the trip back to Cutting Edge because of their consistency. Each hair cut I get is exactly how I want it. Furthermore, I can rely on the hair cutters there to recommend alterations, styles, new looks that I may not have thought about or realized might look good on me. it's a very mediocre haircut - nothing special - but for the price they charge it should be much better. other barbers in the area charge a total of $45 for a cut and beard trim, but they charge $60 here for the same service. i recommend looking elsewhere in the neighborhood until they lower their prices again read more

Was growing tired of the dance club vibe and at times, unprofessional behavior at my prior place..but alas, I don't want to get too Dramatic ;-) I was the focus of attention the entire time which meant attention to detail was observed..important to me these days. I read through a bunch of yelp reviews and took a chance on Cutting Edge and absolutely loved the cut I got. Arthur did a fantastic job. Haircut was efficient (30 minutes) without sacrificing quality. Price was $30. Good conversation. Really clean shop. Arthur definitely has lots of experience and knows what he's doing.
