If I can leave 0 stars I would! The only thing that is good about this place is their customer service. Besides that, the skill sets here are not that great. This was my first visit and Addison took care of me. She sounded great at first until she explain to me what she would going to do. I wanted an All Over Color (1 color for my whole head). She explained to me that she'll do my roots and then tone the rest of my hair (which I realized when I got my receipt that it was an extra cost for "color refresh"). What a trickster! Other places would apply the same color for my whole head, but she implied that it would be time consuming for both me and her..I called that BS. My hair came out to be dark brown which was what I wanted but then I still can see the highlights of caramel that I had when the light hits. She said that's because the light is directly on my hair..hmm. She left me with a stained forehead and sides, she said "you can go home and remove it with makeup remover." Insisted that I leave with stains on my face. I went home and followed her advice and it did not come off. I used makeup remover, rubbing alcohol, and dawn soap and nothing worked! I have an event tonight and panicked, so I called the salon and all they did was apologize. I will never come back here again! This definitely left a very very bad first impression. Horrible skill sets, and they trick you so you can pay more for services that you didn't really need! read more

This was my second visit to Cutting Edge and Charli, once again, knocked it out of the park. I went in knowing I wanted something fun for the Barbie movie (but not sure what) and she absolutely nailed it. She mixed a couple of pinks to get that perfect deep almost-magenta pink and then talked me into the rainbows. Thank god she did, they are so cute! I've been coming to Cutting Edge for years and recommended Jackie. She is awesome with hair color. Jackie was booked so my daughter set up an appointment with another stylist. She called me crying after it was over. The lady cut off more than 3 inches of her hair and it is very uneven. See the pictures below. I don't know what happened!! I've never had this horrible experience ever! However, we called and spoke to one of the managers, Jeff. He set my daughter up with a different stylist to fix the haircut and gave her a credit fit the haircut.. Extremely happy with my hair! Hannah is an artist! I made an appointment with kind of vague ideas of what I wanted and Hannah far exceeded my expectations! Our whole family has been going to Cutting Edge for the last five years. We have never once had a bad experience there. Maria is an AMAZING stylist. She listens to her clients and makes expert recommendations based on your hair type, face shape, lifestyle, etc. She is also a fantastic colorist. I was always very afraid to have my hair colored professionally and always just did it myself. I will never go back to doing that. Maria gave me exactly the shade I asked for, and my hair has never looked better. I get compliments on it all the time and have referred people to her as a result. I usually see Hannah but I love Leslie!! She's new but she's so good, I loved how she took her time and offered not only a great service but excellent customer service. She asked if I needed water or anything else throughout my service, which was so nice, I'm always to shy to ask for anything. She also asked a lot of questions about what I wanted which was great, she also ( this being the best part) she massaged my head!!! Yes like oddly enough I'll pay 200-300$ for my hair and they won't massage my head. I have never had good experiences with hair stylists until I went here. I saw Taylor Vincent who is a new stylist there who is crazy talented. I went in to see her with a damaged, orange, faded mess and walked out literally feeling like a new person. She is not only great at what she does but she is very fast and efficient. In the last year the staff has almost entirely turned over, not sure what the big hiatus was over... but all new stylists. So if you are looking at the reviews, then many are for stylists who are long gone. I've been going here for years but no longer and would not recommend - here's why. They count on getting you comfortable with a stylist and then jack up your price. For the second time now they have doubled the price of a men's haircut in the time span of a year. Hey listen, I don't care what level hair stylist you make up she is now but it's the same haircut I was getting a year ago. Not paying double. But hey, I'm glad you had that last increase because it made me leave and find someone better for less. Thank you so much! Alaina explained what she was doing every step of the way and was so transparent with what I wanted and what she could get me to. Let's be real. My hair was a blonde-disaster walking in and Alaina fixed me right up! I am VERY particular with who touches my hair and only visit the "best of the best" salons and book with highest level stylist they have. Scheduled an appointment and went in for a hair cut. No one thought it was necessary to ask what kind of haircut I got until I got into the chair. Turns out no one knows how to do that cut. Now the haircut I needed and was prepared for is now gone and have to urgently look for another appointment. Flashback to about a month and a half ago: I had long, healthy hair, but in an impulsive "try something new/it's just hair and it'll grow back" moment, I chopped around 6+ inches off for a trendy lob at the recommendation of this hairstylist I was visiting for the first time. Not a wise decision at all. It was supposed to be a low maintenance cut (at least that's what I was told/sold), but I found that with my hair I had to do way more styling/use more heat to ensure my new do looked fresh everyday. I ended up frying my hair. Fast forward to yesterday and this review. I was tired of looking like a dull, frayed, frizzy mess, and I needed a pick me up. I booked this salon based off the excellent reviews, and even requested Krystyna. Kudos to my fellow Yelpers because I'm so glad I did! Krystyna saved my hair! She did a deep conditioning which made my hair super soft and shiny, gave me a nice head massage/hot towel, cleaned up my layers/dead-ends, and even cut my bangs the way I liked them. While my hair is still considerably shorter than I'd like -- I'm working on growing it back out -- I left the salon feeling fabulous and like I had made a new friend. read more

My daughter has been twice to have hair colored and they have twice missed sections. This time she went in asking to have the section colored and Cutting Edge REFUSED saying they would only do it if she had roots done and repaid again. She waiting 3 weeks and they didn't like that either; however, she was out of state on vacation for over a week and when she returned was involved in an auto accident and currently has no car. I feel this place is a bit pricey for the location. It's just a normal salon. I just needed a quick haircut while I was in the area, so I checked yelp reviews and they were able To get me in quickly. I enjoyed the cut and recommendations the stylist had For my hair. Of course, I got the lecture on using their products vs. what I am using now. I will say whatever product they used during My visit left my Hair feeling very dry and brittle, not exactly how I want my hair to feel after a fresh cut.
