Plus there are some great barbers and stylist that I have used when my regular girl is out. I always impressed by how everyone I see here and they are very professional. One day it was raining as I just had my hair done I really did not want to ruin it by running to my car in the rain, thankfully I was offered an umbrella by the girl up front so I could get to my car unscathed! There are not many places that have attentive service these days, but they are above and beyond at the Willowbend Phenix salon. He cut my hair while my hair was dripping wet, dripping water wet. I was shocked and thought what? The whole time it felt like he was rushing me and rushing to the next appointment. Blow dried my hair quick. Since the customer is immediately lined up the next, When I left my hair still hasn't fully dried. I have to go back to the salon and ask him to use a blow dryer again because it felt damp. For what I paid $60 it felt unprofessional.

For how much you pay for and how it turned out, it's a little disappointing. I guess it's common nowadays for paying high price and get an ok quality service. Just don't expect too much of it.

I was a little nervous at first because she uses a brand that I wasn't familiar with called Keratherapy. My previous services had been performed using the Keratin Complex by Coppola. I only THOUGHT I was satisfied before. Her treatment and service outperformed my previous services by a serious margin. First, Laura is great... she is all about the client and really delivers great service. She isn't concerned about how many people she can book on top of one another. She isn't constantly trying to sell you services/products you don't need and/or can't afford. She provides tips for how to get the results you want with less spendy services and she is a delight to spend time with while she performs your service(s). Secondly, the products she uses from Keratin to color are top of the line. She really focuses on keeping the integrity of the hair and ensures you leave with the healthiest head of hair possible. Lastly, the environment of the salon is really great. Many of the stylists (including Laura) have their own little "rooms" that help minimize the chaos that can be present in many salons. Overall, this is a really great place to go. I can't speak about the other stylists, but Laura is great. :)

I recently moved to Carrollton and I found The Line Hair through yelp. Ashley (hair stylist) did an awesome job on my haircut and perm. I like the way she asked detailed question and made sure that we are on the same page with my preference on the haircut and the perm before she started. Also, she asked me if everything looks ok during the haircut. The overall service, skills and technique was excellent. I will definitely come back and would recommend to everyone! By the way, her business is located inside Jina Jina Hair salon so it was a bit confusing to locate her salon. read more

I've been to many, many hair dressers, and have never encountered anyone with the excellent instincts that Abby displayed from the very start. Abby granted my wish-- making my very dark-brown, somewhat gray hair SCREAMING purple. Though we had to bleach first, I literally left with healthier hair than I came with. And though she could have charged me a LOT more to do my roots on my second visit, she recommended I wait (to keep my hair healthy) and found a deeper purple shade that I not only loved, but which blends perfectly with my roots. The thing with Abby is that she is not shy about telling you the truth. If she thinks you are about to make a mistake, she will tell you, whether it's picking a hair color that's wrong for your skin tone, a haircut that is unflattering, a process that is not healthy, etc. But this goes the other way too-- she comes up with amazing ideas for her clients that are artistic and creative. For example, I happened to mention that I've always wanted a pixie cut, but my last experience getting one was a disaster (i.e. the stylist didn't listen to me and did what she wanted anyway, which I ended up HATING). Abby got a mischievous glint in her eye and asked if I still wanted to do something like that. After she explained what she had in mind (a modified pixie that would frame my face and work with my natural curl), I was more than convinced. It came out even better than I imagined -- I get compliments on it from friends, family, acquaintances, total strangers, constantly! So, if you're looking for a stylist/colorist that will mindlessly do whatever you ask, take the fastest/easiest route, endlessly tries to shove product at you, and treats you like a number, then DON'T go to Abby. But if you want a talented, warm, hilarious, professional that will take the time to get to know you, understand your wants, needs and challenges, thoroughly explain everything that will happen (risks and benefits) and use every bit of her decades of experience to create a style that will blow your mind, then definitely GO TO ABBY! I promise, you won't regret it!
