The receptionist, Lili, got me in last minute and was a sweetheart answering my multiple questions. She set me up with Marzia, who gave me an amazing cut with beautifully blended soft layers. I told her I needed something low-maintenance and got great advice and the style I needed. My hair is coarse and has random cowlicks all over so it's tricky, but since I've been coming here, I don't have bad hair days! I appreciate how clean the salon is and the safety measures so I don't have to be scared to get my hair cut in the current climate. read more

While one of the owners, Amy Satar, always provided nothing but great cut and color, was talented, gracious, engaging, and professional, I will never go back after having been her customer for 25 + years. It's unfortunate but I experienced unprovoked, rude, and inappropriate behavior from the co-owner, Massud, two too many times. Just weird. Won't patronize a business where I'm not shown a least a modicum of respect. Otherwise, client services were great. read more

I've ben going to Marzia on and off for years, she's very nice and always cuts my hair exactly like I want. I used to go to her a lot when I was younger but then I started going somewhere else for no particular reason other than it was closer to my old house but ever since I moved closer to willow bend I've been going to Marzia again and I love her! I'm kind of picky about random things when it comes to my hair such as the way I want my layers done and she understands what I mean and cuts my hair accordingly. First time here and made an appointment with Grace Winn to have it colored and cut. My appointment was for 2:00 PM, they took me at 2:30 and I didn't leave the shop until 6:30 PM. I am usually very easy going with my hair, my hair is starting to gray and I asked her to put in more gray or white, I got blonde....not what I wanted. I also took in a picture of how I wanted it cut, not even close and was way shorter than the picture. I haven't cried over my hair in forever but it was all I could do, not to burst into tears. I let her know I was NOT happy and asked her to fix the cut. Anyway she finally didn't charge me for the cut but still paid $148.00 for hair that I wasn't happy about. Would NOT recommend and will not be back. When you pay high dollar for your hair you expect to get people who know what they are doing. read more

I recently got my hair cut by Masud and it was like he read my mind! I have curly hair and have always struggled to find a look that works both straight and curly, and any attempt to explain what I want usually leads to disaster. Not so with Masud! Despite how inarticulate I was when explaining what I wanted, he knew exactly what to do and I'm so happy with my hair now. He even gave me the vocabulary to describe the cut to future stylists, since I no longer live in Plano. I've also had a few positive experiences with Marzia at Artistry and would highly recommend her as well, but this time I happened to get Masud and was exceptionally happy with his work. So, I showed her the picture if what kind of color I want and I always wanted a blonde/light brown balayage and it cost $240 so, make the story short she dyed my hair a super black not the one I want I am so mad and very disappointed to her and she ruined my hair become so dry and damage. I have a very hectic schedule but he will always find a way to work with my schedule. Masud will ask questions and make sure I'm comfortable with the latest style before he starts any new cut. The other day my daughter went in and she can be extremely picky with any type of change. The women who cut her hair was Amy. He is patient, if you come in and want something different, if styling is a problem, he takes his time with you to show you the best approach, and the color he provides is outstanding. Was just there today and left kinda confused lol.. I ended up having one of the owners cut my hair which I was super excited about! Buuut he basically had an assistant wash, blow dry, flat iron and curl my hair. So I spent all of 10 minutes with him trimming it, but got hit with the $100 bill I would expect having the owner STYLE my hair. I was still ok with it cause my hair looked ok, but a few minutes later as I'm walking thru the mall I looked in the mirror and my hair looked awful - no curls, no body, just frizz.. like I'd never got it done lol I hadn't felt gross after leaving a salon until today. 2 stars cause the owner seemed cool, and the girl who styled me was nice ‍ read more

But, emphasizing BUT the staff, wow first the over exaggerated I don't know what to call her receptionist cashier, needs to work on her customer service skills and needs to check her attitude at the door. She not only put me in a very embarrassing situation, but for a moment made me never want to step foot in the salon ever again, until the educated decent adult Marzia reminded me that I not just a long time customer but almost like family should pay no attention to her ignorance. I went in on Friday with several pictures to help explain what I wanted which was an ombre/balayage effect. Basically a slightly blonder version of what I already had. Instead I left with 90's style chunky highlights. I also left with 4 inches less hair when I only asked for an inch off the length. They offered to fit me in the next day to try and fix the color. The woman who tried to fix it was very nice but busy and fitting me in between her regular clients. I was there from 11:30 until 4 and my hair still looked awful and nothing like I wanted. I called twice to get all or some of my money back since I had to go pay full price again else where to get it fixed. Each time I called I was given the run around about how the owners are gone and they're the only ones who can do that. When you leave a salon you should feel happy and beautiful not sad and ugly, not to mention stupid for paying to look and feel that way. It will be about a year before I get my lost length back. Anyone who is growing their hair out knows how hard it is and how much every inch counts. Not to mention my hair is curly so it really counts in keeping me from looking like I'm wearing a helmet. The Green Peridot salon did an amazing job fixing my color. Thanks to them I don't have to be embarrassed to leave the house. read more
