A year and a half later I still practice meditation and going to class with Tom, whether on the beach or at the Morikami woods is definitely two major highlights of my week/life. Wednesday nights are "unplugged" ie open discussion where Saturday's are a bit more concentrated on a specific teaching. I never knew how important meditation is, to care for ones mind and ones body is equally essential for healthy, happy living. Practicing meditation has taught me to see things more clearly and continues to lead me to greater awareness; thus a much more peaceful mind. We took his introductory class, and signed up. My husband and I have now been meditating daily for about three months and it's made a significant difference in how we experience life, and we can't believe we waited so long to explore and practice it. We are calmer, more cheerful, energized and more clear headed, creative and have a general sense of well being we've not previously enjoyed. I have attended four extended (3/5 day) retreats in Delray and plan to continue to for many years to come! The teachings make the dharma understandable for the beginner and the practices are varied (sitting, movement, walking along with a number of informal mindfulness practices too). Lodging for retreats is stunning and the food was vegetarian and delicious! An incredible way to reset my busy mind and connect likeminded others. Love you Cindy!
