I never knew how important meditation is, to care for ones mind and ones body is equally essential for healthy, happy living. This was my profoundly disappointing lived experience. 1. There was no wheatgrass! 2. There were no broccoli sprouts! 3. There was no E3Live 4. Don't drink the water!!! It's dispensed full of visible sediment - only explanation provided is that the dispensers are new and staff didn't clean them properly 5. The administration and staff is comprised of FEAR-MONGERS, EMOTIONAL ABUSERS and PRETENDERS parading as healers and PROFITEERS, preying on a vulnerable population of severely ill people, dangling health in front of them like a coveted carrot. 6. During week 3 of 4 they completely flipped the highly restrictive life-saving diet protocol, citing new research on late-stage cancer from their Harvard-trained medical director (this sort of lack of consistency between staff members plagued my entire experience). The place has no leadership. But here's the most concerning part: 1.Following a 25 minute therapy session (part of the program curriculum) As he rushed me out of the office for his next appointment Mr. Andy Toman advised me to divorce my husband (also the devoted caretaker of myself and our two young children). When I expressed resistance he shot back, "Well, do you want to die?" 2. At my exit interview, Director Anna Maria Clement informed me (based upon bloodwork and the results of a 5 minute Heart Rate Variability test) that my energy reserves had been totally depleted during my time at Hippocrates and my body no longer held the capacity to heal! This of course, was due to the conventional cancer treatments I had opted into prior to my time at Hippocrates. It was a disgusting way of discarding me. Upon leaving Hippocrates and after strictly following their protocol for two months I was rushed to the hospital for the extraction of an emergent tumor and declared malnourished. I would not entrust anyone's health to these people who are "healthier than thou" and therefore, according to themselves, will never experience illness.

There are also 5 Crystal rooms that you can rent for a private, guided meditation session or just relax while the crystals work their magic on you. I just had the worst experience of my entire life when I went to treatment at a place called…read moreMandala Healing Center. It was horrible. I was treated like I was in prison. They took all my stuff. They held the phone. They wouldn't even let me use an electric toothbrush. They lost half my stuff. They also searched my car while I was inside, left it in complete disarray, and forced me to sign a document claiming nothing was found. I had no idea this would happen and no control over my property--it felt invasive and unsafe. They threw away all my medications, claiming they were expired, even though they weren't, and left me with no medicine or prescriptions when I left. This was medically unsafe and extremely distressing. The food wasn't even edible. I was a vegetarian and they never even got me vegetarian dietary restrictions. When I talked to four different people, the techs laughed in your face. The management wasn't present over the weekend. The lead therapist was talking negatively about everyone and using offensive language. They put four women in one room with four TVs blaring all night--I didn't sleep for three days. I barely ate for three days. Nobody would tell me what was going on. I had to check out against medical advice just to survive. They exhausted my nervous system, put me on medications like antipsychotics (I'm not bipolar), and completely flared my PTSD. You couldn't even have comfort items like stuffed animals. Personal items like electric toothbrushes were replaced with unusable ones. Things like hair dryers were "earned" through a point system. Staff were rude, dismissive, and untrained in trauma-informed care. The entire experience felt like a prison. They try to brainwash you into staying to bill insurance. I left after three days, and they called my sponsor without my permission. I went in seeking help and came out traumatized. This place is unsafe, unprofessional, and should be avoided. Please go to anywhere but here! I would not wish this place on my worst enemy!
