Meditation was instantly helpful in my life, due to the instruction and simple guidance Matt offers. I had been introduced to meditation in a casual atmosphere and was interested in getting the in-depth knowledge once Matt had his course available and I could learn from someone I knew was an expert and had been in the most rigorous training for this technique. Thank you to Piper's Angels Foundation, I started taking the Unmasking Mindfulness 8 wk course in April. Matt Cardone teaches this particular class to people living with Cystic Fibrosis. I was skeptical about taking this class and worrying that I wouldn't be able to get my body and mind to respond to meditation. I am also a perfectionist so I didn't want to fail. Matt has taught our group and me that there is no wrong way or right way to do meditate. It takes 20 minutes/twice a day. It is very doable. Matt is teaching us valuable tools to help find internal peace, letting go of things, and recognizing how our body responds to stress through meditation. Matt Cardone is an awesome instructor. He has an unbelievable knowledge of Vedic meditation and is excited to share it. I have so enjoyed doing Matt Cardone's Mastering Mindfulness meditation training over the past 45 days. The discipline of meditation that he teaches is easy to learn yet life-changing. After the initial few sessions, I was off and meditating on my own twice a day every day, and follow up sessions with Matt helped to answer all of the questions that arose as I was going deeper into this new practice. Whereas there are certain disciplines and habits that are very difficult to form and make stick, I have found that meditating is something I actually get excited about doing every morning when I wake up (like hitting the snooze button for 20 minutes, but more effective and intentional), and then again after finishing the workday. Through this practice, and with Matt's constant guidance, I feel a sense of accomplishment, and I have more tools to deal with daily stressors big and small. I recently took his Vedic Meditation course in Dec. 2017 and was impressed with his knowledge, compassion, and professionalism. I've spent almost a decade practicing other styles of mindfulness and meditation, and so I was curious about his offering and this tradition. I had the pleasure of taking Matt's 3 day meditation teaching this May. I had been meditating , or what I thought was meditating for about 3 years before coming upon Matts course. I had so many myths and preconcieved ideas as to how I was to meditate. Matt set me strait and then guided me through Vedic meditation and why and how it works. I have been wanting to learn meditation for a long time but the apps or classes I tried just never felt right. Everything that Matt has taught me is exactly what I was looking for, peace of mind, time for myself, and healing mentally and physically. Meditation has always been a challenging experience for me, therefore, I always felt that it was something I could never do. Matt's meditation training was excellent. I used to find myself barely being able to go last through a 3 minute guided meditation using an app. Now I've been meditating twice a day for 22 min per session for weeks now.
