I was pretty upset about that since I had been calling my doctor's office all day since 8:20 this morning! I called ahead just to see if it was crowded and was happy to hear it wasn't so I drove straight there. Clarissa, the very competent receptionist, took my information quickly and led me to an exam room and Jessica, the nurse, greeted me and asked my symptoms. She came right back and did an instant strep test since I said I had a sore throat. Soon Nurse Practitioner, Sarah, came in and informed me I had strep throat! She then examined me and said she would call in a prescription to the pharmacy of my choice. The whole thing was quick and painless. I found the Urgent Care very clean and attractive with exceptional personnel. I would certainly go back again. Thank you, ladies, for taking such good care of a senior lady like me!

You're supposed to do a urine culture so you KNOW which antibiotic to prescribe. Jump forward three weeks and now she's in the ER with a kidney stone. Had to miss a trip to Italy that was planned.

Everyone makes mistakes, and yes your dealing with someone's health and well being so mistakes shouldn't happen but they do. If you are sick and need a medical professional I see no reason not to go to PMC. The first staff member was lovely, but the doctor who came in was extremely condescending. The strep test was negative and he kept repeating (like 4 or 5 times) that because it was negative he didn't see a reason to put me on antibiotics. I was like yeah, no shit, I don't want to be on antibiotics if I don't need them, but he was treating me like I was being drug seeking for antibiotics. I was wearing a mask because it said on the door to put one on if you had respiratory symptoms, so I wonder if he's just one of those doctors that doesn't like people that still wear masks when they're sick after covid (?) The part that actually really bothered me was when he asked me what medications I was taking, and I told him I'm on spironolactone for acne, and he pretty just much looked me up and down and told me well you should go on Accutane. I was trying to be polite, so I said I'd just started spironolactone and wanted to give it a shot. And he was like "Accutane would work wonders." I thought this was really unprofessional. I was there for an illness not cosmetic advice or unsolicited dermatology.

Is this legal?

When my husband would go there for a bad cold he would sit for over a hour waiting to see somebody. Recently my husband had to have surgery and needed a routine physical. They said they weren't his primary. He has been dealing with many other medical problems and they have received all paperwork. They told him you have to come once a year which he didn't know and they never once reach out to him telling him this. They refused to see him. His doctor he was assigned was Dr. Beach, yet he has never met the man. He is always too busy with diabetes patients. Horrible medical practice. Please do yourself a favor and go to a doctor that is going to care about their patients.

JENN She was able to find a comfortable vein for my IV. Her phlebotomy skills are on POINT! SURGICAL SERVICES DON- Please keep hiring great nurses- your staff is wonderful, but I've learned how to study body language for a hot minute now; as I continue forward with earning my master's degree in counseling. Your staff is incredible, but clearly overworked. Do anything you can to keep them on staff. I highly suggest that Alyssa be included within the hiring team, and that her input be genuinely considered. She has prepped me twice within the last month. She really knows her stuff. This hospital is beyond blessed to have such caring nursing and support staff. Dr. Trevisani, Dr. Calhoun- They're quick and to the point, you're under anesthesia, then, BAM! You wake up and get a thorough description of their findings. The team in gowns- I didn't get your names, but you all have great personalities and taste in music! My condition (heart -related) was handled with the utmost care to determine the cause of my extreme symptoms. I appreciate the expertise and sensitivity shown at the Urgent Care, the ambulance, UVM , CAT SCAN and MRI professionals , nurses, doctors of the Emergency Room , , Emergency Room NP , and the intake nurses. Everyone was so kind and helpful, in addition to being professional , I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy, and l thank them all. I was impressed with the determination and dedication these professionals took in finding the root cause and resolution to my symptoms. It differed from their original diagnosis, and these professionals ordered the TESTS, to confirm ( or not) this preliminary diagnosis, which proved to be erroneous, ultimately. Bravo !
