I don't care where you go or who your doctor is there will always be someone who loves them and someone who hates them. Some people would complain if they were hung with a new rope. bottom line, I have been going to PMC for about 10 years maybe and have nothing but good things to say about the care I have received. are there things I dont like about the process, yes but I'm not there for that. I have been a RN for over 35 years, if you think those providers are bad you have not a clue. The other thing I want to mention is that they, like you, are human. Everyone makes mistakes, and yes your dealing with someone's health and well being so mistakes shouldn't happen but they do. If you are sick and need a medical professional I see no reason not to go to PMC. If you don't have a good experience you have two choices, get a new doc (good luck)j or chock it up these people being human. read more

They lose records, they send the wrong X-rays and the office staff is horrible . They don't return phone calls Ii is very difficult to get Through to them on the phone and it takes forever for a nurse to call you back. I avoid this place like the plague. I switched to Plattsburgh family health a few years ago. My husband still goes here but finds them incompetent. He is trying to change but it takes months to get a new patient appointment anywhere else and he needs regular care. read more

If you are looking for a medical provider don't walk away from this place RUN! They have got to have the worst customer service and management I have ever seen. Their medical personnel are mediocre. After several years going here I had to bail and go elsewhere. They have a patient portal that admittedly staff tells you it doesn't work. In several years going here I never saw a Dr. once. Online researching them I see they have two Dr.'s one lost his license and the other is well into his 70's. Even for Plattsburgh this medical group is below sub standard. Definitely look elsewhere for medical care. read more

I had a walk in appointment with Dr. FOLEY, I went in after having a fever of 102 for 4 days in a row, he was very rude didnt seem to care about helping me, didnt test me for any flu, cold, or covid. He sent me home with nothing and told me to take OTC meds. I got a second opinion from a different doctor in the office who said I severely needed antibiotics. Do not let this man care for you he should not be a doctor. This isn't even the first issue I've had with this man. He's awful. read more

The wait is so long, even with an appointment. I've had appointments just cancelled on the portal with no notification as well. They have switched my primary care doctor three times in the last year because the staff is always changing. I did have a good experience with the actual providers I had in the past, but they've moved elsewhere (I can see why). I'm still actively looking to find a new PCP, but with insurance etc I'm still searching. read more

The office staff is always pleasant to me. I have never had to wait very long (some waiting is always normal and expected) and the care I receive from the two providers I see is top notch. DR samaris and Bridget Molloy have been good doctors to me and my sister they messed up her prescription and sent it to the wrong pharmacy it took two days to correct and then the doctor on call which is candy Atkinson ​called and yelled at me for trying to help my sister get her prescription to the right place ​my sister was in severe pain for 2 days then she told me that my sister is only getting a week's worth medicine from her take it up with Dr Samara that's exactly what I'm going to do come Monday I told her if she had done her job in the first place I wouldn't be calling read more

I AM very satisfied with my medical care at PMC. The staff is professional and the care is above average. Sarah Howe, My Primary, is fantastic. Sarah goes above and beyond in providing my medical care I feel completely comfortable discussing my medical issues with Sarah. If Sarah doesn't have an answer..she will find it, and follow through. The nurses are the bomb too. Andrew is very patient with me and when I leave messages or request refills.. boom! They are at my pharmacy. Andrew, gets back to me in a timely matter if Sarah is requesting me to make an appointment or she orders labs. i find all the staff very professional. I've never had to wait long in the waiting room either. They usually get me in at a timely manner. Walk-ins are welcomed. I especially like that. When Sarah isn't available. Ive had the opportunity to see the Dr or Tim Foley and I felt completely comfortable discussing my issues with them. The online Patient Portal is very easy to use and I really like that I can send requests or questions and get a response in a timely manner. I also like being able to pull up my lab results any time! I'd give a zero if it were an option. Please take it from me this place is an absolute joke not only will you wait hours for your scheduled appointment but you won't get called backs on anything including prescription refills issues with your time of your appointment or needing to speak with a nurse or the doctor about something that does not deem to go into the building. Run away, don't waste your time here. They do not return phone calls, they neglect to follow through when they are supposed to refer you to a specialist. I waited 3 days for yeast results, finally resorted to going in as a walk-in patient and waiting an hour. Now, I have waited almost a week for a referral. When my issue is resolved I will not go back to this practice. read more

All the other practices in the area limit walk in visits because of COVID and hit a max for the day. This office will see you no matter what even if they have to stay after close. Staff and Providers are very nice. read more

Do NOT come here as a walk-in patient. I came in here for a super simple procedure. I just needed some stitches taken out. I filled out all of the paperwork and gave them my insurance card. I was seen by the doctor who took the stitches out in less than 5 minutes. Then I go to check out and they tell me, after the fact, that they don't take my insurance. And they charged me $100 for THEIR MISTAKE. I am absolutely livid. I've never seen such unprofessional service in my life. I would have simply walked out and gone somewhere else had they told me they didn't take my insurance, which is accepted nearly everywhere else. Not to mention, there was one woman working in the reception area that was overly rude to the other women, and yelled at them for asking a simple question. It's no wonder they make mistakes (to the patient's detriment) in this type of working environment! read more

I have been a patient at Plattsburgh Medical Care since I was a little kid and usually don't have any problems with the practice. (Because I want to be completely transparent, I do want to mention upfront that I normally see Tom Gavin, PA, and LOVE him as an individual healthcare provider - hint, why I have been a long time patient of this practice. He was not the PA associated with either of the examples I am reviewing based on. If there were 10 stars that I could give Tom Gavin as a rating, I would in a heartbeat! The only downfall is the length of time you have to wait to see him since he is so popular!) Last spring, I had to get an ultrasound done (they are connected to an imaging provider so it seemed to be so convenient) and was told I'd hear back shortly with the results. A day passed and I called for an update on the ultrasound and was told there wasn't one yet. Another day passed, still no news from Plattsburgh Medical Care. On the 3rd day, I was still having issues with the body area in question and called again. I was told the results were in and was read the results by the PAs nurse that I saw. I was extremely upset that 1. it took so long and 2. they didn't call even though they had the results in, I had to call them. Still, being a long-time patient, when my boyfriend who moved to Plattsburgh was receiving terrible service at his existing doctor, I referred him to Plattsburgh Medical Care. (Again, this referral was based off of the service of Tom Gavin, PA even though I knew my boyfriend would have to see someone else because he needed to get in quickly.) He went in as a walk-in, understandable he had a little bit of a wait, and was given Rxs and all seemed fine. A few weeks later, the Rxs have not fixed the problem and he is now doing worse. He has to go in as a walk-in (as he waits until the point where he doesn't have a choice but to seek medical attention - men!!!!) and has an EXTREMELY long wait; over an hour and a half. After that wait, the PA he sees takes a look at him for 4 minutes and sends him for an x-ray (again, right next door - seems so convenient!). He gets the x-ray and is sent home with one Rx (that addresses what she treated him for before - which did not work) and told he will get a call with the x-ray results. He didn't hear back later that day. He calls the next morning and no results are in yet. Still not having heard anything, on the 3rd day, we call back together and have to leave a message with the receptionist that he has been unable to get out of bed for two days and his symptoms are not going away, actually increasingly becoming worse. We explain our discontent with the fact that he has not been given any Rx to help with these symptoms during the meantime while we wait for x-ray results and all we are told is that a note can be left for the nurse. When asked what time we could expect to hear back from someone, we were told that WE should call THEM back. The lack of sense of urgency shown by the staff at Plattsburgh Medical Care is frightening and the service I've experienced (again I stress, other than Tom Gavin, PA who is great) has been terrible. read more
