My doctor called me and told me to call CVS in Aliso Creek as soon as possible or is she already sent the electronic prescription that they needed and when I called the front personnel, told me that he can see it in his computer monitor and told me to call my doctor as soon as possible before they close and I told him to maybe please scroll down for it happen so many times literally more than 10 times that they will always say they don't have it in their computer monitor and then the pharmacy will just step in and will find it right away because they just don't know how to scroll down and they always try to show that they know more than you. I don't wanna look down on people, but this people have a problem doing their job they're not professional they're not nice and they don't treat you with dignity even though they should know better that you are there because you have a problem basically may be a mental problem physical problem, spiritual and it up like an a hole karma have a way to make those people understand what we are all going through. Do not take your prescription to this pharmacy. They have made multiple errors, which has led to delay in medication anywhere from one week - one month, as well as out multiple charges/claims. When speaking to the manager he was unprofessional, offered no apology or correction. Instead he repeated the same dumbed down explanation (which did not address my concerns) and believed I was not telling the truth... horrible customer service. The CVS itself is nice but the pharmacy is subpar at best. read more

I'm so happy there's a 24-hour pharmacy in my neighborhood. This one is the most convenient with plenty of parking nearby. They have a Minute-Clinic for when you don't want to go to Urgent Care and need a prescription for a simple milady. I go here for my flu shots because they take my insurance. I've been for a quick chat with the Physician on site when I couldn't get a same day appointment with my doctor. The pharmacy is busy most of the day but they do close at some point so check the hours. The retail portion stays open 24 hours so that is nice if you need some milk, cough medicine, or candy in the middle of the night. It's definitely a convenience store so don't expect them to sell anything beyond medication, beauty products, and kitschy toys. read more

It is a CVS, not a luxury department store people!!! I am a regular patron of this CVS and find it to be well valued and convenient. It appears that some people on Yelp have ripped this place a new a-hole, which is so not deserved. This CVS location is great and I don't really see why it doesn't get at least 3 stars from other users as long as you remember it is just a CVS. My favorite thing about this location is the beer/alcohol prices!! The store has regular specials on their alcohol which destroys the overpriced Ralphs next door. I mostly buy beer, whisky, vodka and wine here. Every time I go, there are at least one to two great specials on my favorites (Wild Turkey 101 for $13.99!?!). The store itself is not bad at all for a CVS. It has a decent selection of items and the prices are reasonable, granted you will play slightly more for some items then if you were to go to Wal-Mart or Target. I don't mind paying $0.50 to $1 more for certain items as this location is very convenient for me and generally there are not any long lines. The staff here can be hit or miss. There are a few cute younger girls who work the register, so they can be something nice to look at if there is a short line. They are also pleasant to deal with at the register. Beware, there is also some staff that look and act like they came out of a Zombie movie, which is fine as long as you know how to deal with a Zombie. Generally all the staff is quick and helpful. Overall, it is just a CVS. Cute girls, cheap booze and Zombies. What more could you want? read more

This store needs a higher rating simply because it's open 24 hours. The places that are open late in Orange County are disappearing and it makes me want to move to L.A. honestly. This particular location is always well stocked with anything. If you are into cosmetics they have a large selection of NYX and Essie. The pharmacy has a fast response time and the staff is pretty nice. The seasonal isle always has lots of decorations. If you want incompetent, uncaring service this is the best pharmacy in the world. Very common sorts of things that other pharmacies can accomplish are impossible at this pharmacy. It is a very impersonal, cold, and unpleasant experience in that basic business manners are not a feature here. I believe they discriminate against the elderly. I have witnessed them not helping elderly patients, probably retired like I am. One guy has tattoos all over his body plus a round circle implanted ear-ring in both ears. He is my favorite for not giving a you-know-what about anyone. He is both overbearing and always, always right. There is one really nice Persian lady working there, I don't know how she survives this horrible work envionment. I have complained to corporate, etc. Never got a call back, zip. I will never buy anything from them again and have already changed pharmacies. CVS should not be in the pharmacy business. read more

The lines are often long. The staff are knowledgeable but seem overworked and harried. Even so, they try to be pleasant. The exception is a young cashier in the pharmacy I've dealt with the last two visits. Rude and disrespectful, she became even more so when I commented on her attitude. My kids are young and they arrived completely ready to freak out, but Kirsten made sure that all the appointments were back to back, all the paperwork was complete before the kids were even called in, and that it was all fast and respectful. This review is for Carlos, the best pharmacy tech. He goes above and beyond to advocate for his clients and he has personally done so for me on several occasions. Today my insurance company had delayed release of my medication and I was out of pills and then wouldn't pay for me to fill a short term prescription to cover the few days for meds to come in. Again it was an error on their side and they admitted. Carlos called and advocated for me for over thirty minutes to get an override to provide me with a short term supply and not charge me a second deductible. They fought him but he wouldn't take no for an answer. Thank you Carlos. I got a call from cvs saying that my prescription was being changed they proceeded to transfer me to 3 different lines after finally reaching this pharmacy (which is where my prescription was supposed to be) the man on the phone was incredibly rude. He kept saying my prescription was at another store but when I asked which one he said the other store. Finally he hung up on me without telling me which store my prescription was at. Terrible customer service with the pharmacy! They don't have any care for privacy and basically were yelling out my prescriptions so that everyone could hear. Also, they said they can no longer fill one of my prescriptions because I had gotten it filled at another location a few months ago, because that pharmacy was closer to me at that time. This is the absolute worst pharmacy ever. I've been putting up with their horrible service for years and now I'm officially done. My husband picked up medication for our son and paid $200. When he got home and told me I looked up good RX coupon and we could've gotten it for $80. What upsets me the most is that they didn't even offer and I know that they can. I came here for the minute clinic as I had to take my wellness checkup for my insurance. The place was clean and process was efficient. I highly recommend anyone who is wanting to use their minute clinic to book your place online before heading there. Saves time. I walked in and signed up and it said my wait time would be 40 minutes. Also the sign up procedure allows you to notify via text/call regarding your turn. I was shopping around and got back to CVS just in time for my turn. Got my flu shot here and they gave me a 20% off coupon good till March 2017. I'll definitely use their clinic again for my health needs. read more

I called in to transfer a mail order medication to this pharmacy and was told that my cost would be comparable to the mail order prescription. This was an emergency and the mail order pharmacy authorized CVS to charge me $10 for 5 day emergency supply till my mail order arrive. When I called CVS to ask if meds were ready they told me it was $86 . I asked them to call mail order pharmacy and ask for override number as they were supposed to do. So they had to call again and the pharmacist Marielle rudely said that takes too much time and hung up on me! I then got a message shortly before they close to pick up prescription. I got there in ten minutes but pharmacy was closed. They knew it was emergency however they didn't care! Next day when I went to pickup they still hadn't corrected the price and I am sitting in CVS for 2 hours and even though the mail order pharmacy override the price for insurance but pharmacist Marielle from CVS won't accept it. Obviously this has turned into a personal battle against me since I spoke to store manager last night whom I believe didn't even address the problem. After 2 1/2 hours, they adjusted the price but another pharmacist Babri who was filling for Marielle who went for lunch, made a mistake and price went back to $86. UNBELIEVABLE! Here goes another 2 hours. Well after two days and over 5 hours of waiting and postponing my trip for a day and a half I finally got my prescription filled. Kudos to Marielle who stepped forward after Babri reversed the price to $86 and denied it to get it back down with the help of manager Cody who had not followed up on my complaint the night before and all he said to me was "Oh I remember you from last night!!!" This pharmacy is under staffed and no pharmacy manager on site. Store manager lacks managerial skills. I've often been handed other people prescriptions and then returned it. It's dangerous lack of supervision and shortage of staff and poor customer service should be enough grounds for the corporation to look into this pharmacy and provide a solution to their problems otherwise they will soo have to face with serious law suits or cause serious health problems by administering wrong medication. read more

...wait, what? 5 stars for CVS? What sorcery is this?! I'll tell you what sorcery it is: it's the MINUTE CLINIC inside this CVS that has officially made me a rabid fan. Here's the thing: health insurance can suck. And CVS's Minute Clinic is like your tide-me-over solution for minor stuff whether you don't have health insurance, or you DO have health insurance but can't see your primary care physician right away, or you have health insurance and just want a more convenient place to get minor stuff taken care of. They are open here 7 days a week - from 11am to 7:30pm on weekdays, 9:00am to 5:30pm on weekends (they'll even be open on Labor Day!). You can basically get anything done here that you can get done at an Urgent Care. Treat that cough/cold, sore throat, skin condition, get those asthma/blood pressure/cholesterol screenings, and a whole slew of vaccinations. They stop short of more intense screenings like STD tests or pap smears, but I still couldn't believe how many basic services they provided. Everything is administered by a nurse practitioner, and Elizabeth (the nurse who saw me) was knowledgeable and friendly, and I had her undivided attention the whole time I was there. Without health insurance, a visit here will cost you between $80-$90 (your first visit will cost the most), plus whatever meds you might need. It's not chump change, but 1. it's still better than the cash price at an Urgent Care, and 2. if you DO have health insurance, there's a good chance they accept it and you'll simply pay the office co-pay that you normally would at your doctor's office. If you have a Medical FSA, even better - your visits here are reimbursable. I have health insurance, but needed to get seen right away for a simple infection that I knew could be treated with a round of antibiotics, and my primary care physician is still in Long Beach (I gotta change that). www.minuteclinic.com for all the deets about stuff they do, and which health insurance they take. Do not ever visit this pharmacy on a Sunday. I came to get my scheduled medication as it was the refill date. The pharmacist Babri a female middle eastern nationality called me up to the desk, put papers in my face said I abuse medication and should have plenty at home and I don't need anymore. Crying in pain, she looked at me again said you have plenty of meds I'm not going to help you. Never go here. I would never want anyone else to feel the humiliation of being called a drug abuser when I simply came on time per my Dr. to get my medicine. Disgusted with Babri and the pharmacy management. CVS Pharmacy, Aliso Viejo: Do you wonder why the wait is ~45 minutes for prescriptions here? 1. When a prescription is dropped off, the pharmacist on duty here sets the "ready by" time to 20-25 minutes. This conforms to CVS's management policies. 2. Customer is told 15-20 minutes, which also conforms to CVS's policies. 3. Pharmacist/tech scans the printed prescription labels into the system as "filled" at 10-15 minutes (or if they forget, they simply edit and key-in the earlier time). 4. The prescription is not actually filled for about 30-45 minutes or more. 5. Since customer surveys are never turned in (or get altered) by the site manager, CVS district managers get their impression of this CVS from the tracking stats, so they believe that Aliso Viejo pharmacy is doing a "good job". 6. Now you know why the pharmacy customers are always unhappy here, and nothing changes. The customer never receives the prescription at the time they scan or get quoted. The goal is to make sure CVS's system shows that they filled the prescriptions within the goal time, to avoid getting any retail performance reviews by the CVS/Caremark district managers. What the customer experiences, does not matter to the floor employees. When this location actually has more pharmacy customers, the wait is typically 45-60 minutes, or the techs ask people to come back later to pick it up or the next day if possible, usually because "the system is slow", "the system is down", "we have to get that medication transferred to us", and other phrases you have certainly already heard. Also: for prescription refills that were phoned in, and prescriptions that were clearly dropped off to be picked up on the next day, the staff are literally told NOT to fill those until the customer actually shows up at the counter at that later time point. The pharmacists at this CVS consider that "efficient" because then they can avoid extra work which can be done by the next people on shift. In the time you'd wait at this CVS, you could probably walk to the Walgreens by Taco Bell (across the plaza from Lowe's), or the one down on La Paz by the Carl's Jr., and still get your prescription filled in half the time. Came here yesterday to pick up a prescription. Was the eighth (!) person in a slow moving line to pick up the goods. 14 minutes later, I am the next person in line and I walk up to one of the two cashiers. He says "uh, I'm going on my break." To which I respond "do you see the line of people waiting?" He says "look buddy, I have needed a cigarette for the past hour and I am taking my break NOW." I finish with "I'm not your buddy." I can accept a long line at a pharmacy, but I have a tough time accepting such piss-poor customer service. read more

I know that I already gave this dump a 1-star review, but I had to write an update about yet another ridiculous experience here. I've already said that the staff of this pharmacy is absolutely useless and clueless. That's a fact. I called these clowns to fill a prescription (that was originally sent to Walgreens because I don't have my prescriptions filled by CVS anymore) because no local Walgreens had the medication I needed filled quickly. The guy I talked to on the phone said they had the medication in stock and that he would get the prescription from Walgreens and fill it for me. So far, so good. I even started to get my hopes up that this would be a painless experience with CVS. He told me it's not covered by my insurance, which I already knew, and told him I was going to pay out of pocket for it. I repeated "Don't even try to go through my insurance, they won't cover it. I'm paying cash." He says something along the lines of the fact that he understands. So what happens? They try again to go through my insurance, who denies it. Instead of calling me back to tell me what's going on, they send a request to my doctor for a different medication....on a Saturday. So of course, they didn't listen to me, didn't call me to inform me of what they were trying to do, they just took it upon themselves to not fill my prescription and to contact my doctor for a different medication. How about listening to the customer? How about letting the customer know what's going on so they can be informed? It was like the Twilight Zone because this is not this first time a situation EXACTLY LIKE THIS has happened (see my previous review). Nothing is easy with these people. They don't listen. I don't think that this pharmacy actually has any leadership or management because of how poorly it operates. There's many reasons I switched my prescriptions over to Walgreens. Save your time and prevent the frustration and just go to Walgreens instead. Trust me, you won't get the attitude or incompetence at Walgreens that you get at this CVS. If there's a problem with your prescription at Walgreens, they let you know immediately (and they actually listen). read more
