Honestly, this is likely the best chain pharmacy in the world. I walked in the other night to get some prescription for some gnarly cough, and there was quite literally 164 people in line, but they really hauled ass through the people. Also, I love the pharmacist. Even though I didn't request a consultation he came over and talked to me about dosing and safety. I appreciate someone who goes above and beyond. I go into CVS every month for my prescription, and one of the guys that works there always laughs when I say my last name. Granted, I have a strange last name, but laugh at me? It always makes for an awkward time when I have to say "No, I'm being serious, my last name is Peacock, like the bird." He has done it a few times and acts like I'm playing a joke on him. I was also there late one night picking up a presciption I got from my Doctor earlier in the day, and I overheard them making fun of my name and the description of the medication. I was pretty offended and not impressed with their professionalism. The only reason I stay here is because it is around the corner from my house, not because of their great service. read more

Great CVS. My review is for the 24-hour pharmacy, which has always been top notch, from the people who work there and their generally great attitudes. Personally, I don't know how I'd be able to deal with an endless parade of sick people -- especially sick people like me -- but they do and they do it with a smile. Kudos to them. Overall, the store is spacious, clean and well-stocked. Not much more to ask for in a drugstore. Having a (free) CVS card can also save you some money so be sure to check that out. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I've now had 2 very bad experiences here and will not be going back. It's a shame too because I live so close but I will say the Laguna Hills location next to Mother's Market was a million times better and worth the drive. My first experience I waited in line and almost got my prescription. When they asked for my insurance card, I gave it to them, and they proceeded to tell me that it somehow "didn't count" as insurance and I needed a special prescription card. WTF I handed you my current insurance card and my health debit card, obviously I clearly have insurance. So I said, fine give it to me without insurance, and they told me I then needed to wait, to make sure it was cleared by the pharmacist. What?? Are you kidding me?? I don't need anything but a prescription. So then I waited 20 more minutes before actually getting my prescription. No one was accommodating or nice about it at all. My second experience was today, and again they were terrible. I shouldn't have gone back. My doctor faxed in my prescription at 9:20 and at 11:30 they said they never received it. My doctor had the confirmation that it was sent, but said they would also call it in right away. Even then, they said they never received it. So I decided to take my business to the Laguna Hills location. They were amazingly friendly and are my new pharmacy. This pharmacy is terrible. read more

This CVS has really improved over the years. I've noticed fewer empty shelves and friendlier employees who actually greet you as you enter the store. The pharmacy staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Sure there are lines at times but that's mostly due to their popularity. Walgreen's down the street never has s line but they don't have many prescriptions in stock, shorter hours and airheaded staff. CVS pharmacy is open 24 hours which is VERY helpful. They have a larger stock and bigger staff. The minute clinic is wonderful! It is so convenient! I have taken my kids several times for strep, sinus and ear infections. We are in and out in under 30 minutes and that includes picking up the prescription at the pharmacy. A trip to our urgent care usually means a 30-45 minute wait in just the waiting room alone! The nurse practitioners are very thorough and knowledgeable. I also appreciate the fact that they call you and follow up in a few days too. They have long hours and are open 7 days a week. read more

My experience with this particular CVS pharmacy has been so bad that I actually signed up just to write this. I have been going to this pharmacy for five months now and EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH. there has been problems with my prescriptions getting mixed up, not being ready on time, or, hilariously, not even showing up on my file despite the fact that I have been taking them for years and have picked them up regularly from CVS on a monthly basis. What finally put me in a rage is that I recently broke my ankle and have had to get my husband to pick up prescriptions for me for the past couple months. Not once have they sent him home with all of the correct prescriptions, despite me resorting to calling them minutes before to ensure that the prescriptions are ready. Not only that, but I was flat out lied to a number of times by the staff, who would tell me that something was ready, only for my husband to get to the pharmacy and be told that there was nothing to pick up. I also recently had to explain the generic name of a drug to one of the girls at the counter. Seriously? These people are handling my medications and have no idea what the generic names are for them? And, to cover it up, they are lying about the prescription not being on my file? What the hell. After going through this fiasco again and having it take all weekend just to get two simple prescriptions filled, I'm switching over to the local Walgreens. I loved CVS and have been a regular customer for years, but the Aliso Creek pharmacy is so unbelievably incompetent and dishonest that I won't be going there again. read more

Restrooms are disgusting. Went on a Thursday afternoon and there were used tampons and applicators on the floor along with poo on the toilet seat. The smaller stall also had tampon wrappers on the back of the toilet with paper on the floor. Needless to say I was not able to use it. Staff! Please please triple check the restrooms. As far as pharmacy's go, this one is pretty good. And, it's open 24/7. You can't beat that. They are typically always busy, but they are always really fast about getting through the line. They are usually pretty good about filling the Rx fast with little hassle, although there are always mistakes. They day someone can create a pharmacy that doesn't make mistakes on a consistent basis is going to make a lot of money. Never found one, but this one comes pretty close. The rest of the store is big and has almost everything you might ever need. They even have a pretty extensive food selection here. read more

I LOVE this CVS. Besides it's location it's open 24 hours. Do you know how hard it is to find something open passed 9 in Aliso Viejo, let alone somewhere that's opened 24 hours! The prices are booze are quite competitve and do the employees do their best to keep the store organized. They carry quite a variety of products, especially the "as seen on tv" products. I also love this CVS for the photo kiosks. It makes it so convenient to print pictures at any hour of the day. My only complaint there is they just raised the prices on prints. Other than that I'm completely satisfied. I'm not sure why others give it a low rating. It's a CVS for crying out loud, not a target, grocery store or Bloomingdales!! read more

Visited the Minute Clinic yesterday and overall had a great experience. After unsuccessfully trying to get into my doctor that day for my sinus infection, I decided to try the CVS Minute Clinic. After registering using the computer, I had no wait getting in. After the typical general health history questions, they had me video conference with another store. (Apparently some stores have nurse practitioners in the store, while others use this video conference method.) During my visit they looked in my ears, nose, and heart... all hooked up to the video conferencing machine so both me and the other store could see what was going on. In that way this experience was kinda cool since you see what they are looking at and tell you what's normal and what looks problematic. The visit wasn't rushed at all (they probably spent 20 minutes or so) and they sent me over to the pharmacy to get some antibiotics and nasal spray. It was a real plus already being at the pharmacy and my order was filled within 5-10 minutes. All-in-all, to have no appointment and be in and out with a prescription in about 30 minutes was great. Certainly less time than going to the doctor and then having to trek over the pharmacy to get it filled. Of course, if there were a wait then I don't think the experience would have been nearly as great. Also, if video conferencing is not your thing then I wouldn't recommend this experience at all. (Like I said, apparently some locations do have you see the actual nurse practitioner, but not at this location... at least when I went.) I also went in for something pretty simple where I knew what it was and knew what the treatment should be since I've had it before. Not sure I'd enjoy the experience if I had something more serious going on. BUT, for something easy like I had, it was perfect. read more

I had an issue with billing and they helped me work through step by step how the issue occurred. We then were able to correct the error. Its just their way to rip off your pocket for an urgent doctor visit! Beyond pathetic. I've tried to be fair, in the last year, that I have lived directly across the street from this CVS pharmacy. Regrettably, I now suffer from a variety of illnesses, one terminal, and regular trips to the pharmacy are a nearly weekly occurrence. Bar none, they are the MOST INCOMPETENT group of lemons I have ever encountered. Just this week alone, I was forced to go back three times due to their pathetic level of customer care. [It should be noted, not ONCE in the last year, have they EVER gotten a single RX order correct. NEVER]. One of the "lemons" actually argued with me over who my own doctor was...unbelievable. Tonight, going in for the third time this week, due to their total bewilderment of customer care, I was not only told the very RX I was in to collect, was not there, but when I showed the text message validating the RX was ready, the moron looked at me like I was a side dish he didn't order. Some of the meds I must take, are literally, vital to my very life. They don't care. Instead of the required syringes for my insulin, tonight the "loser" bagged and charged me for tips of the pens for a insulin delivery device I have NEVER been prescribed, and I was unable to inject my insulin [life-threatening] as a result. The same applied to my cardiac medicine - they "forgot" to ask the Physician for a refill during business hours...Seriously? Simply incredible. Medication that any licensed Pharmacist would know is vital and mandatory to a person's very life is treated like you asked for a free candy bar. I'm transferring all my RX's to the Walgreen's next to Trader Joe's. If your health matters, avoid this cesspool of arrogance and ignorance at all costs. read more

Move your prescriptions from the Aliso Viejo CVS immediately. Every since CVS was taken over by Target the personnel and customer care has gone right into the toilet. It is obvious everyone that works behind the pharmacy counter hates their jobs. And talk about giving attitude!! Don't expect niceness from any one at this pharmacy either on the phone or in-person. The auto renewal alert system is a complete joke. I never receive the alerts to let me know my prescription is ready for pick up...even though time & again I have been assured my account is set up that way. It is only when the nastiest of message is left on my phone that my prescription is ready to be put back on the shelf there communication. If there is an issue and you choose to call to speak to the pharmacy, whoever answers the call is so put out because you are forcing them to do their jobs; they talk over you, & rush to get you off the phone. Believe me this pharmacy isn't that busy for I've been there and seen about 10 people behind the counter with 1/2 just standing around yapping with no regard to the fact there is a line of people waiting to pick up prescriptions. For the people handling the drop offs....particularly the hispanic dude with the glasses...you seem to have forgotten that you're just a glorified data entry rep whose primary function is to provide customer service. I can't say enough for the outstanding Customer Service I receive at this location. If I need pictures printed, I need help with their Kiosk, I ALWAYS get help. If I am looking for a particular product, there is ALWAYS someone to help, often take me to where it is located. Today, I printed pictures to a DVD and a ordered a large Poster...I had never done this before and Jose and Sheri were working. When I saw them in the store, I knew if I had any problems, they would be right there. Thank you for excellence in customer service!! I have never been treated as badly as I was by the manager at this pharmacy. They told me that they wouldn't honor my prescription because I lived in a different county. They accused Walgreens of lying and then made up laws that do not exist about cross county triplicate refills. I walked out and took my script to the Walgreens down the street where I was treated with respect and had no problem filling my script. Screw this place! read more

Months back this CVS had a Pharmacist named Alex. Great person, who deserved to be call Doctor. Alex would not fit with this group now, so its a good thing he moved on. I had an Rx sent over this afternoon. When I called the current idiots to confirm it had been filled I was told their system was down, & I should call back. When I called back they said the system was up but somehow my Rx was not there. My wife drove to speak with them and got zero. We called our "backup Doc" as the normal is on vacation, and she was understanding and called in a new Rx personally. I immediately went to pick it up. It was 7:56 when I arrived, (they close at 8:00),. The technician ran from the counter as I approached and the LAZY person that sauntered to the counter wore a smock that said Pharmacist. She said they were closed, and I explained the situation, (I need the pills tonight), and she asked what I wanted her to do. I was stunned at the question, but said I wanted her to fill my Rx. She said I could drive to Irvine to pick them up but that she was closed. I would estimate my family Rx expense to be a little over $6K annually. Not much in the grand scheme of things for the shareholders of CVS, but it will make a difference for me knowing I will not be met with such indifference to a patients problems, even when they were caused by CVS's "system outage". I don't do this often, but this evening's antics by one of the pharmacists has prompted me to write this. I called and spoke with one of the pharmacists by the name of Darren Koba. I asked when they closed and he informed me that they close at midnight. I am less than a ¼ mile from the store, so I asked him if I could be there in less than 3 minutes if I could please pick up my prescription. I provided him my name and he confirmed the prescription that I was wanting to pick up, and I told him I'd be there momentarily. I quickly made my way to the store and pulled into the parking lot at exactly 12:00a. It took me all of 15 seconds to get through the front door of the store and I immediately saw that the pharmacy gates were closed. I asked the cashier that was on duty if there was anyone still in the pharmacy, and she pointed out Mr. Koba who was standing in her line with a 6-pack of beer. Seriously?? If he wasn't willing to wait for me, why didn't he just tell me that he was closing the department and to come by tomorrow??? That was the rudest, most inconsiderate manner for anyone to treat one of their customers that was desperate for their prescription. I don't care how much schooling the man has had. His work ethic and integrity are deplorable, and he has no business being in any kind of a customer service role. Again... I am reminded about how crappy this CVS branch is. I came in to pick up photos. There's a douche-bag clerk behind the counter, ripping tags with his back turned away from me. I rattle my keys, tap the counter with them, clear my throat, cough, and he still doesn't turn around. He's less than7 feet away. I end up walking to the cashier to ask if the guy is deaf. Never Never Never get a TB test done at the Minute Clinic!!! Went here for the convenience. Being in the health care industry I'm required to have to have an annual flu and TB test. First visit was great; nice staff, efficient, friendly and took no time to get the shots, However, when I went back to have the tb read I was the 3rd person in line,...45 minutes later I told the health professional that all I needed was to have my tb read. Her response, "Well, there several people ahead of you waiting. Once I get to you, it will be really fast." Yes, I'm aware a tb test read if 5 seconds...Okay...Another 45 minutes go by. Seriously? Now I've been waiting 1.5 hours for a TB test read and extremely late for work. If i leave the test read expires. If I stay I know I'll have some unfriendly advice for the the health provider.
