Pharmacist is rude. Not helpful and judges everyone. Most of the staff is good. Clean store.

I know that most pharmacies and store staff are working with less staff than usual. Sure, lots of improvements can ( and I am thinking will pretty likely be made). I checked in at this location yesterday and went back for a few items today. My first job ever was at the store front of a well known pharmacy (over 30 years ago). I remember trying to multitask between the register and stocking shelves. Definitely lots of work and patience. Huge props to store manager Adam. Good people need to get recognition. read more

I have been picking my medications up at this CVS for a year. I have had some more minor issues over the past year, both related to the customer service and the way meds have been filled, but nothing that left such a bad taste in my mouth like what happened yesterday. The closest thing that comes to this is when I called them last summer for clarification on a med and the same pharmacist I'm going to speak about later was extremely rude, easily frustrated, and ended up hanging up on me mid conversation. Anyways, fast forward to present time. I am on a transdermal gel medication. The instructions my doctor gave stated apply 1 packet to each arm once a day. However, the pharmacy was insistent that a 1 month supply would be 30 packets. Since the instructions stated "each" I took this to mean 2 packets a day (1 per arm). When I initially pointed this out to the pharmacy using the CVS messaging app I was told that wasn't clear and I would need to contact my Doctor to send a clearer prescription. Messaged my doctor, she messaged me back and said I was correct and it should be 2 packets a day. I got an alert a few days later that my prescription was ready. When I went to the pharmacy to pick up the updated prescription, they gave me 80 packets but stated that would be a 2 month supply. When I clarified that I did get confirmation from my doctor that it should be 2 packets daily, the pharmacist took me away from the pharmacy tech I was initially speaking to (She is lovely, by the way. Somewhat older white woman with tattoos. She has always been super kind). He started by saying that your instructions were wrong and the fact that they say "each" arm does not imply 2 packets. I asked him to read the instructions he saw on his computer to me and he refused. I also tried showing him my doctor's message on my phone and he wouldn't even move his eyes. He started getting combative, and he said my boyfriend and I were being aggressive (I really dont think we were). I asked him for the box back so that I could reach the instructions myself. I knew my doctor had updated something to make it clearer for them, but I wasn't yet sure what that was. When I pointed out that the updated instructions say "1 packet to each arm for a total dose 40.5 mg daily" and each packet has 20.25 mg (it says that on the box), he refused to acknowledge me and said that doesnt matter. He said if I left with the two boxes they would not refill for 2 months, even if my doctor sends updated instructions. He then continued to say we were being aggressive when we were simply trying to clarify or point out the total mg required daily that was CLEARLY written on the instructions, and he started stating that he was refusing to speak to my boyfriend, telling him to shut his mouth, and speaking over him to continue speaking rudely to me. I was so upset by this situation, but I had been out of my meds for a week now and I couldn't just leave with nothing, so I took my 2 boxes and left. Now I'm left with either running out a month early or applying every other day so I make it through. I'm so upset by this situation and the way he spoke to us. I'm truly not an aggressive or combative person, but I also will not stand there and take disrespect. I will be switching to a different CVS. I'm not sure if anything can be done so that I receive a refill in 1 month rather than 2, but I cant keep going to this CVS regardless. I've read through a lot of the other reviews here, and I do believe a lot of us are talking about the same pharmacist given the quotes some of you provided. He is a middle aged black man and I believe he's the only older man that works in the pharmacy. I called 1 (800) 746-7287 to file a complaint with CVS against him, and I encourage many of you to do the same. I was told the district manager would be speaking with him. After I spoke with her, my doctor also called and the pharmacist told her that he refused to fill this medication for me ever again. Good riddance. read more

Prices are insanely high, lots of missing items from shelves, sometimes there is no person working at the front. Feels a little apocalyptic

This pharmacy is terrible. I've had mistakes made in past, no communication, no effort to help you find prescriptions that they don't have. When you do get someone on the phone they are very short and rude. I am no longer getting my prescriptions filled there even though they are close to my house and convenient. read more

Pharmacist was a complete asshole to me yesterday. Was pissy because the counter lady couldn't help so she asked him to help me and he came out with his cell phone on speaker and someone talking very loudly in another language. So sorry you have a customer and you have to end your phone call. When he tried for 10 seconds to enter my insurance card then threw them on the counter and walked away from me. They suck! The staff at this location are SO rude, like you're inconveniencing them by picking up your prescription. Went to pick up prescriptions two days after they were called in and still weren't ready. My daughter goes between 2 homes and the EYE ROLL when I asked to split her meds into 2 bottles like they did the previous month, currently has me switching pharmacies. read more

This pharmacy has VERY rude staff. I just spoke to someone on the phone who couldn't give two craps about have a semblance of professional courtesy. The CVS pharmacy employee continually interrupted me when I was trying to provide her responses to her questions. This was my second experience with their staff. My first experience with this staff was even worse, I waited an hour at the pharmacy to pick up my prescription after being continually told just a few more minutes, only to basically overhear the staff telling the pharmacist that they forgot to put in my prescription. I just got off the phone with the rudest pharmacy assistant. In addition to her attitude, she put me on hold after asking a question rather without even notifying me she was putting me on hold. She was completely unprofessional without any reason to be. I never raised my voice to her or expressed any attitude, just tried to resolve the situation. read more

I have been a lifetime CVS customer- but never again will I use this CVS location. I. Called in a prescription that was a prepackaged gel, and the woman went to the shelf to confirm they had it in stock but refused to pull it. So I said I would come back in an hour... Almost 2 hours later I went and the same woman told me it would be another 30 minutes... For then to pull something from a shelf. Already irritated I said I would come back the next day. Which I did, at which point I was informed they lost my insurance info so they would have to call Blue Cross and I'd have to wait another 30 minutes... I'd love to say this is the first bad experience I've had here but it's not. I was previously a customer at 2 Richmond, VA and 1 Philadelphia CVS locations and never had any problems like I do here. read more

Traveling through Allentown and needed a few things. They had everything I wanted and served me well.

First! I wait in the drive thru for almost twenty minutes, I go in and the pharmacist and aid are helping the lady in the drive through because apparently as I heard when the pharmacist breached the customers privacy by telling another customer that they where having issues with their insurance.... very unprofessional. Then they tend to the customers in front of me with an attitude and the worst customer service I've ever seen. Then it's my turn, lady comes to me with a tiered attitude and very short with me, I'm already pissed for all that I've seen. She ask what I need I was there to pick up only, so I tried to explain to her that I just picked up another prescription at another cvs and had no issue. She very aggressive states your insurance is not passing and I doubt it will!!! WTF does that mean!!! I breathe and tell her to just forget it because I was ready to smack her ass!! I'm sorry but it's not the customer fault that you are having a bad day, we did not tell you to pick this career!!!!! read more

I've been using this CVS to fill my prescription for about a year and last month they gave me the wrong prescription. I started taking it because I assumed I remembered it wrong, but no I was right. They never updated my file and gave me my old prescription which gives me awful side effects. I went in to explain what happened and as I waiting to get the right pills I could hear her saying "Yea I'll give her this one until she comes back next month complaining she wants the old one again.", right in front of me! I'm not complaining because I want to, I'm complaining because you gave me the wrong pill that I am no longer prescribed to and it's messing up my body! She was extremely unprofessional and continued to say she doesn't know how to do the refund and was joking about how there's 7 different types of dosages my pill has and how she finds it "weird" and "confusing". Like didn't you go to college for this? There's different dosage amounts for a reason! She continued to tell me that if I ever want the old pill again I'll have to fill out a script and that they "can't just give it to me", like no I'll never want the old pill again and it's not my fault you gave me the wrong one! And a few months ago they previously lost my insurance and I had to wait an extra 30 minutes for them to put it back in the system. I'm switching pharmacies because she was extremely rude and unprofessional. I hope this never happens to someone who's depends on their prescription to live. read more

The manager Lenny is the rudest manager I have ever encountered! It was pretty busy, He opened up a register and began to ring me out, while he was texting or playing on his cell phone. I was nervous to ask him for a rain check for fear I would get scolded at. I mustered up the courage and asked for a rain check, and BAM attitude to the max!
