Very disappointed in this CVS! I went to an emergency room in Long Beach, and found out I have gallstones. I was given a prescription for a pain reliever for my gallbladder pain. I moved to El Monte and once again had terrible gallbladder pain around 3 AM. Desperately in need to the medication, I looked up a 24 hour pharmacy and was so relieved and grateful to have found this location. Someone drive me here, and it was a little far, but worth it because I would not be in so much pain after handing them my prescription. When we arrived I was told to wait by the pharmacist. It was very obvious that I was still in pain, and it was 4 in the morning, the only reason anyone would rush to a 24 hour pharmacy at that time would be for an urgency!!! Finally, he asked what I needed and I explained my situation to him. I just needed what was on the prescription. He looked at it very confused. What could be so confusing??? Gallbladder related medical conditions are very common. Norco is very commonly prescribed. He said is this from another area? And I told him I was in an emergency room in long beach but lived in El Monte and needed it urgently. He refused to help me because the prescription was written in long beach. Out of the area. WHAT? WHAT DO YOU MEAN? What if that was the ONLY 24 hour pharmacy in ALL of CALIFORNIA????????? Are you kidding me?! That's wrong. There's no reason for someone to not take a prescription. No matter where it is "from" unless out of state... I left in a lot of pain, very disappointed in this cvs. Wasted a lot of gas. A lot of time. If I could give zero stars I would. I made over 10 calls to get the same prescription filled. On my final call and 4 days later, they told me it would be ready in one hour. I drove there to pick it up and they could not find it. Finally they told me it was never processed. They only decided to tell me this after making me wait for 45 minutes. She said to come back in 1 hour. They seem to think sick people have nothing better to do then keep calling and driving and waiting at the pharmacy!!!! Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Came here because Rite Aid in Rosemead was out of Percoset and was in major pain from a root canal that was infected. Anyhow, Judy in the pharmacy called to tell me that she couldn't fill the prescription because it wasnt "secure" dumb broad it's handwritten and says all over security with a watermark! Argued with her with her shitty attitude to no avail. Im not a druggie just in a shitload of pain. Took it to CVS in Monterey Park and voila no problems! Finally got my prescription in 3 visits! ^_^ VERY understaffed busy pharmacy but SOME were friendly & attentive. ALL of the cashier's on the other hand were RUDE, STUCK UP & GRUMPY! YES! like most everyone in Arcadia and I live in Arcadia. I asked for $40 cash back from a transaction, Carlee @ photos only has $5 dollar bill but I didn't want $5 bills, so she said, "Oh, you can just go over there to exchange it!" I said, "I don't work here and they may need another transaction!" so she moaned something and walked exactly 7 steps to another cashier and exchange to 2 $20 bills and threw it in my face. I can't believe I just got accused of doing something I didn't do and thank god another cashier confirmed it. I was using a printed email cvs coupon and was shopping with a friend. A fat ass fugly cashier not even the one helping me got all super nosy and looked over my cashier and took my printed coupon asked if I made copies and my friend was using it. I said no, she tried to prove me wrong and went to ask the cashier that helped my friend and that cashier confirmed that my friend did not use the same coupon as I. This fat cashier straight up and accused me trying to call me out and was dead wrong! I will contact corporate regarding this. Omg where do I begin?! Went to kaiser urgent care, had to get my prescriptions since kaisers pharmacy was closed. Ok I've never been to this CVS location. I walk in with my sis and the cashier looks at us when we walk in and says nothing. We look at each other and laugh because she was so rude but we kept waking to the pharmacy. I walk up to drop off, the pharmacist or fake pharmacist, Chinese guy with dark hair and glasses looks at me like I have three heads. He looks at me and seconds later says yes, do you have a drop off? I was so annoyed because coming from kaiser we had thee best customer service and the staff was super friendly, then we come to this dump and have to deal with shitty employees! Ok so another Chinese girl Brenda I think helped me. Ok her service was mediocre. When Brenda was helping me the fake pharmacist was taking phone calls and let me just say I would have been pissed if I was on the other end of that phone. He needs to get laid or something! He was so rude to everyone! Needless to say I left with my prescription no one asked if I wanted to talk to the pharmacist, some other Asian guy, so I left and wil never ever ever return to this crap of a store! read more

Came here to pick up my meds that were transferred from the doctor's office. Got there about 15 minutes after my check up and still had to wait another 20 minutes to pick it up. Aside from the wait, all the pharmacists were friendly and at least were aware of the wait. read more

CVS sent me e-coupon to purchase $12 worth or Airborne or more. I went to CVS and purchased the largest size of the airborne (63 of it) worth $23.99. However, the cashier told me the e-coupon couldn't be applied for an unknown reason. She was also rude about explaining it to me. This was not the first time happened to me while e-coupons wouldn't work when being used for the applicable items. I knew it wouldn't have been that bad if I had tried to use it in another CVS location. Too bad :( read more

Would give 0 stars if I could, specifically for the pharmacy. Long lines, tell you that your prescription will be ready in 20 minutes and fail to call you when it is ready. Get back in the long line ready to complain about the lengthy wait and tell you your prescription has been ready for a whiles very understaffed and no remorse for those who are sick and obviously shouldn't have to be waiting for a prescription that had been called in hours before. Store of Incompetent and ripped off combination!! My son gets sick very often so doctor prescribed him a liquid vitamin to help his immune system. My son has been using that vitamin for almost a year. Then in February, when my husband went to CVS and was told that our new insurance doesn't cover the bottle any more. We have to pay for $280/bottle out of our pocket. It's ridiculous for a small bottle vitamin costs $280. So I checked with the local small pharmacy (again) and was told our insurance DOES cover it and they even said $280/bottle is a ripped off!! That pharmacy didn't tell me what price they are selling but they told me even without insurance that is a BIG ripped off price. And guess what? My husband went to CVS again (yeah even after I told him not go there any more) and all the sudden CVS told him that vitamin is covered! Why? Because the small pharmacy I contacted earlier then contacted CVS to transfer the prescription over to them and all the sudden CVS told us it's covered!? Actually this is not the first time CVS told me my insurance doesn't cover for something while I found out later it does cover from another pharmacy. But because of the amount didn't trigger the alarm, I didn't bother to check if CVS is accurate. If it's not because $280/bottle beyond my tolerance, I don't think I'd find out how much CVS ripped me off. Now to think about it, I think we have lost more money than we can image due to incompetence (or stupidity) of CVS. We both work and have very good insurance. There's no way that just one year alone last year, the prescriptions we paid out of our pockets exceeded $1k. We only got sick couple of times last year plus I have high blood pressures and that's all. There's no way our prescriptions bills can exceed $1k. Please stay out of CVS for your prescriptions even your insurance pay for everything. This is a ripped off place and will cost you money one day!! read more

Every time I got a prescription filled they tried to charge me full price even though I had their prescription plan. The last time I went I left without one of my prescriptions because they would not give me the price they had promised when I bought their plan. When I got in line for the prescription, there were 18 people in line before me. I asked the pharmacist why the line was so long. He said the company did not want to hire enough staff to accommodate the need. read more

This is a pretty big CVS. I have never been to the pharmacy so this review will be for the store. They layout is pretty nice. Cosmetics and healthcare on one side, and basically all other items, including liquor, snacks, home items on the other. The prices are standard CVS pricing...basically, if you can't make it to your regular store for something, it will be more here. I like to walk around and see what they have on clearance or what's on sale. Sometimes you can find a really good bargain! I usually end up in the magazine section reading all the gun magazines...lol Overall, a nice store with lots to see. read more

Oh my gosh! Dropped my prescription off at noon they said 30 minute wait time. I came back at 8:45pm prescription still not ready! Seriously!!!! Met a staff member named Judy S she was so over the top rude! She told me to get back in line. I asked her if she said to get in line again I did not hear her. She said that's what I said get back I line! I told her I had dropped off my medication at noon she said ya we are backed up get in line. Couldn't believe someone that blatantly mean could be employed anywhere that would find that behavior and attitude towards customers who were perfectly respectful and polite to her acceptable. I'd give this place zero stars. I got a $3 birthday coupon. Brought it in through my phone. And they say "sorry we don't accept coupons through phones." What kind of policy is this? If this was a store policy then why the hell aren't there signs that tell me this? And if it was specific to all stores then why the hell isn't this special policy stated on the coupon!? On the coupon it didn't say that I had to print it out... the coupon only says "to associate: if unable to scan coupon please type in barcode". So I know that they were capable of taking my coupon but they were just unwilling to go through the process. These workers here are obviously lazy. Congrats! As many, I've been to several different CVS locations and this is by far one of the worst in terms of customer service. I would say 9/10 employees are incredibly unhelpful and rude. Not to mention the lines, no matter what time of day, are always rally, really, really long. Like ridiculously long. Longer than anyone would ever anticipate for a pharmacy. The only positives are that it's incredibly convenient, as it is open 24 hours, and that it is a larger location, (albeit it being half the size as it used to be) therefore they tend to have a larger selection of products than many other locations. read more

Four people working here today, all of which are senior citizens.. all the way to the store manager on duty. This made for a terrible experience today because all four of them move at a snail's pace and I don't think any of them know how to use electronics because every customer had a transaction issue. Came in close to midnight for some specific ear drops and luckily they had them. I was really glad to see a convenient place like this open 24 hours so close to home, it's good to know I can come here in an emergency. Only downside is that their prices are much steeper than target etc, but that's what I get for running in when all of the cheaper stores have been closed for hours. read more

I don't know what's up with the pharmacy here but it is the worst. Even though there's about 6 people behind the counter, there's really only 1 person who ever does any work and is providing any decent service. The pharmacists always seem so put out if they need to talk to a customer. They won't look you in the eye and they take forever to do anything. Last week, I made 2 trips here to pick up medication. Both times, they told me they were out. It wasn't until I asked several more questions that the pharmacist finally told me that they've been backordered for weeks, no CVS in town has it, and that I would have to go to another pharmacy to get it. The thought that they would have let me (or anyone) walk away without saying that upfront infuriates me. As healthcare providers, it's irresponsible. If someone had told me that on my first visit, I would have had time to transfer my prescription before my meds ran out. The only reason I come here at all is because it's close to my parents' house. This place deserves a 0 star! I was quoted for a prescription then when I picked it up I was quoted double because they did not have a the quantity that was ordered! They told me that they were giving me a bigger quantity but that it will go bad so I will have to throw it away. They did not offer a discount for their mistake and made us wait again after waiting for ONE hour. This CVS has always been a friend to the sea creatures. I would go here at evening or the day time and it was still there all the time. I would get all sorts of prescriptions here and more. Stopped by yesterday to grab some a chapstick. The variety is better than the Pavilions across the street. The place is clean and bright but the only issue I have at this place is that you ALWAYS end up waiting in a long line for the register. There is always only ONE person working the register and there is ALWAYS a line of 4-5 people ahead of you so you end up spending more time in line than actually browsing for stuff. In addition, the cashier always has to ask if you have a rewards card which I guess is great because you end up getting points but no one every brings it so they end up taking more time providing their phone number. If you need to get something that Pavilions has, you might as well go over there because there are more registers and the price isn't much different. If you need to get something here, just beware that you will be spending some time just standing in line, browsing the internet on your phone because there are people in front of you... read more

I like coming to this CVS. It's big, it has a lot more selection than other CVS's. It's 24 hours!! There is a security guard after hours. It is pretty clean, the lines are semi-long sometimes and I wish they would open up more registers then. The staff isn't that friendly most of the time, and they don't smile or even look at you like you are a human being, but again, I like this CVS best in this area, and the manager in the afternoon is a really nice guy and helpful. So he bumps up the rating to 4, but otherwise with just the staff its a 3. There is always this crazy strategy to buying stuff here though or any other CVS because of the buck rewards and they expire...so you have to get back in line to use your coupon and not buy everything at one time, because seriously im not coming back here within a week! read more

I'm especially happy about this place because of how close it is from where I am when I'm in Arcadia. It is practically a block or two away from my gf's house and it's open all day/night. This is probably the largest CVS I've ever been too and it was probably also the first time I've seen so many Asians shop inside a CVS as well. The place is kept pretty well, they seem to have a lot of extra items you may not find at other smaller locations. The have a large pharmacy and also seem to be open 24 hours which is a rarity. The pharmacists will gladly offer up any advice on the health-care products, according to my friend. read more

Worst CVS ever, the cashier wore glasses work on 6/18/18 evening shift was the worst. I printed a coupon from their red box and bought $40 stuff, tried to use the $10 off coupon showing on their ad, cashier scanned and threw back to me saying it won't scan and she is not going to honor it. I told her to check her ad and she is not willing to do it, then later on, Asian manager stands next to her simply said the coupon doesn't match the CVS card, I got confused and told her I just printed from the red box. Cashier was so rude started to yell: it is not the correct card without even checking the number, she kept repeating herself with two eyeballs already popped out, I told her to calm down and she got frustrated. unprofessional customer services with anger issue. CVS need to retrain the employees and the manager. I went to another CVS down the road, the male cashier scanned the coupon without any problems. This CVS is thee best because it's 24 HR !! Not many CVS's are open 24/7 and I really appreciate this store incase of emergency items at night or if there are people that want to go after 11pm. It is a huge store and it's way better than to go to a 711 late at night because it isn't guaranteed that it'll have items you need! Even though this CVS is pretty far it's probably the first thing that would pop up in my head if I had an emergency for lets say, back pains or anything to cure a physical condition. I love this CVS and it doesn't give a dangerous or uncomfortable vibe when you walk into the store late at night. I love that! I would go to this store a lot more if I lived close to it. read more
