Horrible pharmacy. I always run into issues here with lack of service from the pharmacy. It's currently 2:10pm, they were supposed to be open at 2 o'clock yet they have the curtain shade down over the window so you can't even see inside or ask anyone for help in the drive-through pharmacy. There is a seven car line already built up as everyone has been here since before 2 PM waiting for the pharmacy to open back up after their late lunch. Currently have been waiting for over 10 minutes after their opening time with a screaming baby in the car. Not the first time with this issue, it's often. Truly terrible. Came back and the person at the window did not want to do his job or help at all. I think his name is Adan. He first said my prescription for a very generic, routine medication would be $183 because insurance won't cover it. That couldn't be possible so I questioned him. Turns out they didn't have my insurance on file, not sure why that wasn't mentioned first. So I gave the insurance card. Was told it was inactive, which also isn't possible because it is active and my husband used it for the same medication earlier in the week. He tried to turn me away or make me pay out of pocket. To which I said no, you need to contact the insurance and provide service. He said "you need to call", to which I very politely asked "isn't that your job?" I am a nurse myself, it is part of their job. If I go home and call and the come back, it's the same thing as my just telling them the insurance is active and them ignoring me. It's not the same as them calling insurance and verifying so they can render services. Which is what they are supposed to do. Anyways the worker told me to get out of line and get back into it again, wait through 8 cars of other people being serviced first, instead of finishing my transaction. I questioned this, so he finally agreed to have me pull over. After 8 ppl being serviced while I waited I walked up to the window where he told me he never called. The male pharmacist with glasses gave me the same runaround. I had to wait through 6 lines with a screaming baby to get help. I went inside, didn't tell them what was going on and just said trying to fill a prescription as a test. Finally Minlan provided incredible service, called the insurance without me even asking, and solved the whole issue in less than 5 mins. After my spending an hour there due to no other staff wanting to do their jobs. No one should have to wait in 6 lines, with a crying and screaming baby, being constantly shrugged off, while staff refuses do their jobs. I am transferring all my prescriptions to another pharmacy immediately. No wonder they have SO MANY people working inside, it's because no one is actually doing their jobs. This is the LAZIEST staff I have ever encountered in my lifetime. I plan on filing a complaint. read more

During COVID, my health wasn't at its best and I constantly needed medication. This CVS location has always taken care of me--every refill was fast, smooth, and hassle-free. I just want to take a moment to thank the entire pharmacy team for consistently making sure I got my prescriptions on time. Fast forward to this year, when I accidentally lost one of my medications. The pharmacists went above and beyond--working with both my doctor and insurance company to make sure I could get a quick refill. You guys are truly the best. Five stars. read more

This CVS is in a quiet, well-kept suburb, not a dense urban area--and yet the restroom policy here is shockingly degrading. I was with my wife picking up prescription medication and politely asked to use the restroom. I was told the bathrooms were "out of service" and that customers should use porta-potties outside. When I went outside, the porta-potties were locked with padlocks. So paying customers are denied restroom access, redirected outside, and then left with no usable facilities at all. This goes beyond inconvenience. It may violate basic health, safety, or accessibility standards, particularly for elderly customers, people with disabilities, pregnant people, or anyone with a medical condition. This is a pharmacy, not a construction site. I understand concerns about misuse of restrooms. What I don't understand is stripping all customers of basic human dignity--especially in a suburban location where this level of restriction makes no sense. CVS corporate needs to address this location's policies immediately. If this is not company-wide policy, then local management needs correction. If it is corporate policy, CVS should publicly explain how this complies with health and accessibility expectations. Either way, this deserves a response. Came in at 5:59 but it wasn't 6pm . You would think they would honor there posted times on July 4th. It's not my fault you chose to work July 4th It's not my fault you didn't post your hour change online. It is my fault to have chosen your pharmacy. .... Add further insult, you instruct me to go to Baldwin CVS stating they were open knowing full well they were closed at 6pm. It doesn't matter how many flowers you put on your hand written signage that we close at 6pm when you really closed at 5:45. I hope one day you come in at 5:59 pm and they don't serve you as well! read more

Horrible pharmacy experience. Staff is impatient and clearly incompetent. Brought my family to flu shots. My kid gets needle anxiety but staff administering ramps up anxiety by making MULTIPLE announcements that he is going to poke her and give her show. That's analogous to a murderer screaming "I'm going to stab you now" over and over and over again. How is that helpful? The incompetent tech or whatever he is then said he can't give her the shots because she is moving too much. At first I thought maybe my kid is THAT needle phobic. We decided to try somewhere else (Costco pharmacy) and guess what? The same kid that was traumatized by this place with the idiot telling her he's going to attack her repeated got the shot with no crying or whining or moving. The pharmacist there just distracted her by talking to her about something else and got the shot in very quickly. So clearly the problem here is the staff here and their inability to work with their patrons. read more

This location is convenient for people who prefer drive-thrus to pick up their meds. Most of the time, the drive thru is empty. It really depends on what time you stop by. Even if there are a few cars ahead of you, it's not that long of a wait. They also have a few medicine items they can sell to you over drive-thru. Inside, the pharmacy is very organized. The staff is nice and understanding. They always do their best to help everyone in a timely manner. They also offer different vaccines and are available to answer questions about medications. The times I've had to call in, they answer pretty quickly. They help you set your medications on auto fill and will even contact your doctor for a refill prescription if you run out. The pharmacy and store hours of operation are different. The pharmacy is open Monday - Friday 9am - 8pm (might have a lunch break) and Saturday and Sunday 10am - 6pm. In case you won't be able to make it, you can call in and ask for them to transfer your prescription to the Baldwin location. They close at 10pm. The store is also always organized and clean. They are usually stocked with everything you need. From household items to beauty necessities. The staff is also nice and helpful. If you need any item that requires an associate to open/unlock it for you, they will gladly help you. They have self-checkout kiosks, and they're really easy to use. I know CVS receipts are super long and take forever to print, but they do have good deals. You're also able to use them there at the kiosks. They also have a coupon kiosk. I've never used it, though, so I can't comment on it. There's plenty of parking near the entrance because the other businesses usually have closer parking to their locations. read more

The Pharmacy customer service is terrible. One of the inhalers I take needed a refill approval. They said they tried to reach the doctor 3seprate times. I called my doctor's office and talked to a nurse practitioner, and was told she would call it in. The pharmacy said she never called. I called again and talked to the nurse again. She assured me she did call and would call again. The other inhaler I have on auto refill, they say, is out of stock, and they don't know when it will come in, yet they want me to go to the Baldwin store to get it Baldwin store does not have a drive-thru thru which I need, and they won't make a store transfer. CVS are the worst for so many reasons- mainly because the company doesn't carry any pain medication and they fill some stuff (that's expensive to often before they're even due to need refills and other stuff you have to call to remind them. Don't ever send UPS packages to be picked up from this CVS. I received an email the package was ready to be picked up and when I went they told me it must still be on the truck and to come back tomorrow after 12pm by an older Asian female associate. First of all she didn't even check and she just went off my name and said they didn't have it. But okay sure it's late so I gave her the benefit of doubt. I went back the next day, this same woman told me the exact same thing. Without really making an effort to check again mind you, and going off my name. That it's still on the truck and to come back the next day at 12pm. By this point I'm pretty annoyed. I called UPS who told me that the package was definitely there and to give CVS my tracking number and have them look for it as supposedly the name on the package would be the CVS store where it was shipped to the access point (this is ALSO wrong info from UPS btw). I'm fuming by this point because of this nonsense with CVS and dealing with UPS's trash automated phone system. I go back in and tell them UPS told me it's here and they need to look for it. I was asked for my name again and even the address they said the pick up point would be (as if I hadn't made sure first) and she FINALLY takes the tracking number down and sends another associate to go look for it and he actually goes elsewhere than behind the counter to go look for it after asking for my name YET again even though I had given the tracking number already AND who the sender is ("You have a name don't you?" He rudely asked me) when I told them UPS informed me that my name isn't on the package. And I'm not surprised at all that he finds my package WITH MY NAME ON IT. I'm given some lame excuse again by this lady and this guy too about packages being stuck on the truck or it's because the driver dropped it off where the packages don't usually go and some half*ssed apology. As if that's supposed to be my problem. I wasted another trip to CVS when I really should have been given the package the first time. And they were willing to let me waste ANOTHER trip chasing down this package. The people who work here are incompetent and really put in the bare minimum and no effort to help their customers. They think it's okay to inconvenience people and have them make multiple trips off of inaccurate information until the package probably had to be sent back or not even! Because they never would have "found it" if I hadn't asked them to actually do their job! read more

Covid 19 Testing/Review Let's start from the beginning. Making an appointment was a joke! I asked around and people were saying that if you wanted to get an appointment you had to log into the cvs site at around midnight or later and that's when they open available slots, so I did just that. After 3 days of no luck I finally waited till midnight and was a bale to secure a slot for an appointment two days later. Filling out the information online is extremely easy and to the point. Remember this is FREE, you do not need to provide any insurance information if you do not want to. You can say you have no insurance and they can no turn you away. I got an email confirmation, along with that it comes with step by step instructions. I also got a call the day before from the cvs pharmacy to confirm my information and my appointment, they said to arrive about 15 min before your appointment so if there's cars in line by the time you make it to the drive through window it should be your appointment slot. The day of: I arrived 15 min early and there were 3 cars in line but the line moved extremely fast, I saw those cars picking up medication so I assumed they weren't there for the testing. As you pull up to the drive through window always wear a mask and have your ID ready for verification. The cvs employee is inside and walks you through the full process and ask if you have any questions. They are there watching you from beginning to end. Yes You have to perform the procedure yourself. With the detailed instructions I got the package from the window, tilt my head back, inserted no more than one inch into my right nostril and moved it around ( Kinda like using a Qtip in your ear) and then proceeded to do the same thing with the same swab on the left side. The process was extremely EASY & PAINLESS! Don't let people scare you into thinking it's more that what it is. Once I was done I packed it all up as instructed and returned it to the box for pickup. Easy as that, I'm all done! They say waiting time is 5-7 day's but because cvs is so overwhelmed and behind in testing it can definitely take longer than that, it took 9 days for me to get my results back. It all depends what lab they use to do the testing and obviously all CVS are using the same one so they turn around time is ridiculous. To get your results you download the MyChart app or you can also log on the MyChat website and check your results there. You will have to create a profile and they will also send you an email to let you know your results are available to view. Do your part and let's stay safe! Together we can beat Covid-19 read more

10/24/23, 6:50pm. I was here with my daughter trying to take a passport photo. Male staff, who was nice, told us to go to the passport line, and we did. After awhile, it was our turn. Lady with short, blond hair, didnt even bother to talk to us. I told her why we are here after she was done with the previous customer, and she told me rudely that she clocked out and we will have to wait for 30 minutes. She was mad at us like we were in her way on taking her break. I dont mind going to another CVS if she told us shes taking a break soon. Everyone is busy in their lives, so please learn how to treat the others nicely. read more

This CVS is managed so very poorly. The volume of garbage in the parking lot is terrible. There was an abandoned car for three years in the back of the parking lot. There is also an abandoned semi truck for two years that burned to a crisp yesterday. There is an RV with occupants, a couple living in a white BMW SUV, a mini van of homeless and a couple of homeless people that poop and pee in the bushes not to mention leave tons of garbage everywhere. Service at CVS pharmacies are often times basic. You wait, you get your meds and you're out. Today I noticed new things in place... - a text message as Im leaving my doctors office requesting to know if I need my meds immediately (I missed the message but I suspect if I would have replied they would have immediately started my prescription) - when I arrived and requested my meds, gentleman let me know it would be 10-15 minutes (turned out it was more like 5-10 minutes) - I felt they had a good system in place to get patients in and out quickly which is all you want when you're not feeling well - sensed a professional get things done attitude from the pharm tech/guy running register Thanks to the May 31, 2023, 7pm crew! read more

Rude and cold a female manager I have ever experienced: this afternoon after visiting pediatrician urgent care with my 7 years old child, we went to CVS 188 las tunas to pick up prescription, I parked my car in an empty spot for family car who carries a minor. My child was sick and preferred to stay in the car, after I stepped out my car an old man who drove a white SUV kept beeping me, I stopped and asked the reason, he was very rude and asked me "Can you read English?" I said yes, so what? He accused me that I should not park at that spot, I was so shocked and told him that I had a u years old child in the car! He examined my car and said ok, then touched my arm and shoulder, I screamed and asked him to stop, then he entered CVS and I asked for help, a short female manager came to me and showed me very bad face, told me she could not do anything and asked me to call the police, then she turned around and left me alone. I was so embarrassed and sad, after picking up my child's medication I met her in front again, I asked her: why you are so cold to a customer who needs help? She answered me still without any smile: because I don't want to have any trouble and if you feel you are attacked, you should call the police by yourself, not me!!! Turned around again, and left. I suppose that the CVS, like many others, is a pretty good spot. It has the usual fare of vitamins, first aid stuff, a drive-through pharmacy, and seasonal items with the 20% markup on Walmart prices. In truth, I probably wouldn't come here if it wasn't as an afterthought since it's ridiculously close to my house. I've also pulled into the parking lot with the idea of trying some of the new strip mall like shops and cafés places that has opened up in there, but I always talk myself out of it and instead go by pre-canned coffee drink at the CVS. There's nothing too sexy about going to somewhere to buy Epsom salts. But when you find that you need Epsom salts, it's nice to have a CVS a block or two from your front door. Since there are no fewer than three CVS locations within 1 mile of my house now this one is neither better or worse than the others. But CVS, baby, I got nothing against you. And since your pharmacy as my insurance information on file, I'm going to keep coming and filling scripts with you. read more

I shop in all kinds of pharmacies. Walgreens, Amazon, etc. But I will never go back to CVS. Here's an example: I needed some eye drops. I'm disabled so my friend went in. I gave her $10 and asked her to get me a candy bar with the change. She came out with eye drops and a candy bar. ( She used a coupon and $.50 out of her pocket). Several weeks later , I needed some more. I ordered from Amazon and got 3/$8.50. Check Ralph's, Target et al. None was more than $5.00. At one point, I called the nearest store and spoke to the manager. His response was " We have no policy for price matching ". Never again!!! read more

I just noticed so I've edited my review to add this at the top:. Looking at the pharmacy ratings before 2022, it was pretty good, but since 2022 most of the reviews are 1 store and all mention it use to be good but horrible management since 2022. Look for yourself and read my review. This review is for this pharmacy and my experiences since 2022. Prior to 2022 when the pharmacy was managed by other, previous Rx Managers my experiences were very good for at least 15 years. In 2022 a new Pharmacy Mgr. and either by coincidence or a change in company policy, getting my usual monthly Rx's refilled on-time is nearly impossible, no matter how much advance time I give them or what they have asked me or my Dr. to provide them with. For the last 12 months, every month I would drop off the original Dr. script, from the same Dr., for the same two medications, with same strength and quantity. My Dr. also wrote the diagnosis code on the script as the pharmacy requested. Over half were given over than 7 days in advance of pickup. All 24 were given a minimum of 48 hours before I needed them. For 3 medications after waiting over 5 days and still not ready I received less than monthly quantity supply and paid. Since I've been dropping off the same prescription, by same Dr., for same 2 medications, strength and quantity each month, and provided with before I needed to get ready, and since they are for a chronic condition, the previous Managers would have both in-stock and ready for pickup as they promised. Coincidence or not, after the current Pharmacy Mgr took over last year, in 2022, the pharmacy is out of stock more than half the time, some times even after 10 days the prescription is not ready, And I've had to pickup less than the monthly quantity because it was critical for me to be without my medicine and still not ready after waiting 5 days. Prior to this new Mgr, I would drop off the script in advance and they would have my medicine ready many times the same day because they knew it was hard for me to walk. Now, when I drop off the same script for each month, it's almost always out of stock, and after 3 weekdays in advance of waiting only half the time. 3 of the last 12 months I even had to accept less than a month supply because it still wasn't ready after 5 or more days and I had to ration my medicine. Yesterday, again after waiting for a few days and promised to be ready I went to the store and the lady told me it wasn't in stock. I told her I've been coming here for over 15 years, with the same prescription from the same doctor, and I've been dropping off days before I needed it and still it seems the chance it's ready as promised is like flipping a quarter. She said it's due to the distributor, and said I should go to a Walgreens or Walmart because all CVS locations rely on the same distributor. You would think that CVS would be using a distributor that's reliable, and I think there're only 3 national distributors that all pharmacies order from, I don't think it's a distributor problem. The Pharmacy Mgr is responsible for inventory and ordering. In the past, for 15 years and several different Pharmacy Managers, they managed to have everything in-stock when I would drop off the script. It wasn't by magic - it was because they were good about having it ordered and in-stock and ready for me to pickup. And everyone that worked in the pharmacy from the top to bottom was great, friendly and helpful. Now, it's rarely if ever in-stock and ready as promised and nobody offers to help me. The common response is it's out of stock. And when they tell me it will be back in stock and ready, and I come to pickup, they don't say they're sorry, just that it's out of stock. Except for Jason, one of the pharmacists that has been there for a while and cares about people, it seems even his hands are tied, but at least he doesn't try to excuse it on the distributor, he apologizes, and leaves it at that. The new manager either doesn't care about keeping me as a customer, or he's just not good at organization and managing his supply. Either way, I am going to do what the CVS lady told me, and finally take my business to a pharmacy that cares and knows how to run a pharmacy whose customers are ill and need help. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS PARTICULAR CVS. I found out that I came to direct contact with a COVID-19 confirmed person yesterday at work, so I decided to get tested on the same day. There were a few locations that had availabilities at 5PM, but this one had a spot for 5:20PM which gave me an extra 20 mins, so I picked this particular location. I started driving at 4:20PM from Inglewood to Arcadia. I received a confirmation phone call at 4:45PM while driving. The guy over phone asked me a few survey questions and confirmed with me for 5:20PM. I received both confirmation email and text. Once I got to the drive-through window, the lady told me that the clinic closed at 5PM!!!!! So I couldn't get tested. My question to this CVS clinic is that why didn't your employee tell me at 4:45PM that the clinic would be closed in 15 mins? After knowing that I could no longer get tested yesterday, I couldn't turn around and head over to another testing facility because it was already too late for every other location. If I knew they close at 5PM, I wouldn't make an appointment with them. Now, another day living with paranoia and uncertainty. read more

Went in on a weekend afternoon to pick up my prescription and decided to get my flu shot while I was there. A pharmacist intern, named Irene (i think), did it and I barely felt it! I just called the pharmacy to schedule a vaccination against Haemophilus influenzae. The vaccine is called Hib vaccine. The person on the phone didn't seem to know that there was a difference between the flu virus and the H. influenzae bacterium. Unfortunately, it turned out that the person I talked to was the pharmacist. I don't think I want to find out what else they don't know. read more

This store is horrible. The pharmacy never has medication in stock. They don't notify you either. I don't even have unusual medicine. I don't know how they function. This used to me a decent pharmacy but it's so bad now. CVS is a horrible company. Too bad there aren't many pharmacy options here anymore. The staff is fine but the business is just business. My car died on me after I did my drive-through COVID-19 test at 188 Las Tunas, Arcadia, CA. After trying to help me from behind the window, the manager came out and pushed my car to the parking lot. Later, when the CVS delivery truck came and found out I was blocking his way because my car died, he came out of his big truck trying to help me as well. His name is Richard, from what I saw on his uniform. Eventually my husband made it here and got my car started. But I have to give a big shoutout to the two CVS workers. I was at this store on Friday. I saw a young Asian guy at the cashier next to me. There were (2) cashiers. I noticed the guy didn't have a face mask on. I asked my cashier 'don't you have a policy that all customers must wear face mask?' She said 'oh I didn't even noticed he didn't have a face mask on'.
