Hello everyone... Welcome to the Complaint Department. Sometimes, we all get urge to write a complaint. Very hardly somebody will write a nice review. Well, guess what? I'm writing a compliment which takes place in the city of El Monte Walgreens... I've been a customer for many many years, and what I'd like to let the pharmacy manager know, as well as their customers that there's a lady in the pharmacy by the name of Angela, who happens to be one of the pharmacist. She's fantastic, as well as professional, and with her chemistry background, as well as education, She was able to explain to me about interaction with certain medications that I'm taking. She was explaining to me, and I was able to really absorb the information and I'm very happy. Definitely, I will recommend people that I know with this pharmacy, which is located in El Monte. This Walgreens location can improve on so many aspects. Their customer service is non existent. They will chit chat on the side when lines are forming at the register. Once you're ready to pay, they'll pretty much not even acknowledge you. Shelves are very messy most of the time making it so difficult to find what you are looking for. Please hire staff who cares more about the customer and the store. read more

I've been a customer of Walgreens for more then a decade, and yes SOMETIMES the store has issues, the problem could be fixed... Next... The pharmacy has always been there for me, ESPECIALLY having the Rx pharmacy manager by the name of Mrs. Angie Nguyen. When I call on the phone, she ALWAYS recognizes my voice, and will always prepare my meds in a timely manner. She knows her job with her professional experience and her knowledge that her highly skills and educational background from A to Z, where she's capable of catching ANY drug interaction that may occur from time to time. Angie has any question and every heath issue that you may always ask, where you'll always get an honest opinion only at her facility. Many times she caught some little issues between one medicine to another, and she was immediately alerted me, or NOTIFIED my doctor to switch from or to a different med. Thank you Angie!!! read more

Literally the worst Pharmacy!! You can be the only car waiting and it will be a 10 to 15 minute wait!!! I've come here a handful of times sometimes just picking up 1 prescription and wait 10-15 minutes. They'll say "hi, I'll be with you" and not hear back from them for a good 5 minutes. Then take another 10 min to get your prescription. read more

Never had such a bad experience at a Walgreens until I stumbled upon this store. I came to the store after seeing that they had a product I needed in stock. I circled the entire store for a good 5 minutes trying to find it but couldn't. I tried to look for an employee, and it felt like no one was working there except for one cashier. It took 10 minutes to find an employee, and then he walked me around the entire store to find the product. He was holding a device that could check where items are, but he refused to use it, even when we couldn't find the product. Imagine having a customer ask you to use the device to check if the store has the product in stock. That's exactly what I did. Then he proceeded to ask me to place an online order so he could see where the product was located. Going the extra mile, I did exactly what he asked. I placed an order, and keep in mind, you need a minimum of $10 for in-store pickup. So, I placed an order and was taken back to where it all started, the dental area. Then he told me that the order doesn't specify the location of the product, so they might not have it in stock. I SPENT HALF AN HOUR HERE TRYING TO FIND A PRODUCT because he didn't want to use the device to check if they had it in stock. Waste of time. To add on, when I went to check out, the cashier asked if I wanted my receipt printed or emailed. I said printed, and GUESS WHAT. SHE NEEDED TO CALL HER MANAGER TO PRINT IT OUT. My guess is that she pressed email before asking, which is why she needed her manager. Don't come to this store unless you want to waste your time. read more

I used to struggle every time when I have to take passport photos because either they don't do a good job or it takes forever... Not anymore! This is my go to spot from now on and I'll suggest all my friends and family members to come here. Person name Harry who work at the photo center is super duper friendly and that's the main reason I like this photo center. Front desk girls are also very friendly, every time I walk in I'll get a nice greeting with smile. read more

Went to get a covid PCR test after an easy reservation online.They were a little far from home but the 10 east was fluid and i arrived 10 min early. Anna, the pharmacy technician was the most professional employee I have seen in a pharmacy for a long time. She prepared the tests and paper work immediately and within 5 min , I had swabbed and given back the tubes. She watched the whole thing giving precise directions with kindness and professionalism . She also understood that I wanted the results asap and proposed a self test if I wanted to get some results faster. Car drive through is terrible!!! Waited for 20 minutes at the window trying to just pick meds that were supposed to be ready for pick up

So not purchase first cards here. I recently purchased a Sephora gift card for my wife and when she went to use it there was was no money on the card. I contacted Walgreens and said it wasn't there problem to contact Sephora they completely washed their hand of the situation and did not offer any help. I will never purchase a gift card from Walgreens again and suggest you don't either purchase directly from the vendor read more

I came to the pharmacy to ask pharmacist for help a girl w long curly hair refuse to Help she said for us to push the red button for help but we proceeded that we needed a pharmacist help to compare eye drops we needed for a refill I had for laser eye surgery she was very rude And also the cashier in front didn't even seem helpful I just left to cvs I live right in front but no Wonder Walgreens is empty there staff needs to like there job and have customer service at a good rate if I had a choice for no stars I wouldn't even gv one read more

So I was looking online for an item it was on sale so I go to the store find the same item and it's original price . So Walgreens doesn't match their online prices at the store. WTH what age are we in get it together if you advertise an item online it should be the same price in store.. This is why I would rather shop online. This pharmacy is SO SLOW. They only have one person working and are untimely about appointments. They do not provide any instruction and let their patients just sit in their waiting area. If we didn't say anything, we'd probably be sitting there all day. This is very disappointing. As a well established pharmacy with many locations, their service should be better. If you're trying to get a vaccine, I recommend going somewhere else. read more

I was originally leaving this as part of the survey that gets printed out on the receipt, however it kept saying the numbers I was inputting were incorrect whatever. ANNA from the pharmacy went above and beyond for me and it was very much appreciated. I had come in the day before trying to pick up a prescription for my son that he got after his visit to the ER. I was having issues with his insurance for some odd reason so I ended up having to pay over $154 out of pocket for something that was less than an ounce. Mind blown, I know. She was so patient and didn't give up when I told her that something must be wrong because I knew for a fact that he had insurance even thought the girl before her totally just blew me off and told me I was basically SOL. Defeated, I decided to just leave since my son needed the medicine regardless. Well Anna went out of her way and called my cell phone to come back inside as she was able to finally get through. I was able to get refunded my out of pocket cost and just pay a $9 copay. Omg she has no idea how much of a headache she saved me from having. Thank you so much Anna! read more

I stopped here last weekend since I was staying at an AirBnb nearby and needed to pick up a few forgotten items. The store was pretty organized and I was able to find the travel-sized items easily. I always seem to forget either shampoo or face wash so it's nice to get it here for cheap, most travel items are around $2. They also had a great deal going on for soda and chips 2 for $5 so we picked some up to snack on back at the house. Organized and convenient store! read more

I have been to this Walgreens pharmacy several times and the staff is extremely nice I have dropped off and picked up prescriptions taken my family to get Covid tested, to get our flu shots , the pharmacist and the staff working in the pharmacy department are ALWAYS nice, kind, friendly, professional in a very nice mood they also accept tricare insurance. This needs an option for no stars. Every time I go to this Walgreens I'm disappointed. I went looking for medicine for my son, I checked online before going and it said it was available there. I looked for a while on my own since I don't like bothering staff unless I really can't find something myself. I checked the sides of the aisles and I just couldn't find it. The cashier knew I needed help but wouldn't help me. I finally approached an employee nearby stocking aisles and tried asking him for the item. He kept cutting me off, not letting me finish my question, just telling me an aisle and go to the back. I was worried because my son needed medicine, stressed because I had been looking for a while and couldn't find it and he was being rude. I can't stand people who are rude when asked to do something that is their job, I wasn't even being rude about it. Finally until I spoke a little louder to tell him he wasn't letting me finish my question he got helped. It wasn't in stock and went to cvs where they are always kinder, helpful and luckily had what I needed. read more

Went in on a Sunday morning for my Covid vaccine. I was greeted by a friendly young lady by the name of Anna C. She was very helpful looking up mine and my sons insurance information since I didn't have the cards with me. Always friendly and helpful. She helped answer all my questions regarding the vaccine. The best part was actually receiving the shot from her. She was so gentle that me and my son didn't feel a thing!!. She was great. Looking forward to receiving our second dose with Anna C specifically!! Lol. She was great. read more

If I could give ZERO STARS, then I would. I made a COVID vaccine booster appointment for 11:45AM. I was there early at 11:20AM, and still did not get seen until 12:26PM. They only had one pharmacy technician (ANNA) doing check ins, and apparently they only had one pharmacist who could administer the vaccines. I have visited many Walgreens stores but this one was the worst! The wait times are atrocious especially if you've made an appointment in advance. I will not return here again, very disappointed. read more

Hello everyone who read this yesterday they discriminated my husband. First when we walked in they would looking at us like we were wire does and they said code red or code 21. They when we were shopping I saw the same guy I saw the register like following us. The when we finish getting our thing the same guy that was following us he was at the register we were paying and my husband had some beer and they ask for ID and my husband gave his ID from Mexico called matricula and they said they didn't accept it and I was explaining that they told us before that they accept any ID so he bought beers from there before not with the same guy and he answer me back just laughing and smiling and this is the worst store and it's in El Monte where there's a lot of Hispanic read more

Saturday i was there to print a photo I did not have to wait that long. The worker name Maria was very helpful. actually, she went out of the way for us. I have a little bit of a trouble with it. Maria was very helpful. Very knowledgeable worker. I was really surprised for her experience and service. The store is super clean not the many customers. Absolutely incompetent. I am between this location and FedEx Print and Shop Center in Arcadia. I am slightly closer to this one, but I CALLED FIRST to make sure this location could print a return label. After calling the number that's listed on this business listing, it still redirects me to a call center, which asks me over 10 automated questions, because it could not comprehend my question. I finally get a human on the phone, but unfortunately this human spoke with such a thick accent, It was difficult to understand his English. I specifically asked him, "Does this location print shipping labels? Because I have an email from FedEx that states I can show the barcode on the bottom of this email to the FedEx agent and have them print the return label for me" the person on the phone said, "Yes , they can." I asked a second time, "okay so I just show them my email and they can receive my package without me printing the label? " Again, the agent said "Yes , this location can print your label for you." GUESS WHAT? THEY CAN'T! When I arrived at this location, I spoke to a Walgreens employee manning the photo center/fedex onsite counter, and I showed him my email, and he was completely dumbfounded, he asked "why are you showing me that email?" I said, "it's the barcode, for the return label" then he said, "we have no ability to scan any barcodes or print any labels" ... I was livid, after wasting my gas driving here, after calling first to ensure I didn't waste my gas, I still wasted my gas and time. I wouldn't even make it to the location in Arcadia in time before they close, so then I had to download the walgreens photo app, upload the email, create a photo print order, have the guy wait for it to come through, then print it, then I had to pay for a photo production of the return label on a nice photo paper, then tape it onto the box... The FedEx system is broken. If the call had actually gone through to the actual location, I wouldn't have received misinformation, or if fedex actually trained their employees correctly, he wouldn't have given me misinformation. read more

I come here often cuz it's a few steps away from home, but after visiting their pharmacy for a prescription I was giving one price and upon arrival was giving a different price from the same person. I had switched over from rude, judgmental and berating CVS pharmacy on Peck and Lower Azusa. Prior to that I switched from rude CVS pharmacy at 5 points. I couldn't be happier with this pharmacy for months now. I don't know the Pharmacist's name, but I'll certainly update review when I get it next time. The middle-aged Asian lady. She truly cares about her patients. I just like be her. She's so very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and professional, never judgmental. She always makes sure you know any side effects or interactions. They have convenient text messaging features that are updated, unlike CVS who would text me refill reminders for medications I told them I was no longer taking. I still get messages too.. even after switching pharmacies months ago. If there is a problem with your script (example: insurance doesn't cover), they notify you personally and have the out of pocket price. They will call doctors office too to inform and see if there is a different med that is covered. The drive through is great. read more

I came by to pick up my order after making an order online. However, the sale person said I have a reminding balance which I need to pay before I can received my item. It was ridiculous becuase usually when I order online it would make me pay in full before a pick up order can be placed.I told the sale person there must be an error and showed my phone with email confirmation showing my total was $0 after it was charge to my card. He said either I can pay the reminding balance or cancel my order. I decided to cancel because I will not pay extra for something i already been charged. I felt he could have called a manager or something but that didn't happen. I didn't want to make a big fuss and there was someone behind me so didn't really want to bother. This is not his fault though since it is system error. however, i hope this type of error do not occur again. After I left the store, i made a call to customer service becuase I didn't see my walgreen cash was credit back. I also checked my card and notice I was also charged for a pickup in which I canceled. In few hour later I checked my walgreen account I notice an increase to my walgreen cash but that is not the amount I initially have in my account. It is less. I hope this is a temporary error since I just make a cancelation and it might be in the process that the system is giving me new earned w cash for this pick up order. It is weird though since I didn't really get my item I shouldn't be charged in my account. Either this was error amount in walgreen cash or my cancelation still processing. I will have to wait and see. So far I was disappointed that this have happened. read more

I'm not one to complain or to leave a bad review but I came to pick up photos and to also scan photos. All throughout the process the workers just seemed to have a bad attitude. They told me I had to scan my own photos which I was fine with but they didn't bother showing me how to scan or anything. The slowness of the machine is what irritated me the most. Trying to scan off the pictures took FOREVER for a single one. I'm better off at Target scanning my pictures. read more

Worst customer service ever! Walked in asking for a specific item that online is indicated to be sold at this Walgreens, asked the cashier in front and she directed me to aisle 5 couldn't find it asked a guy cashier by the makeup counter if he could help me by checking on their computers system, he said no that he couldn't do it? So I decided just to buy one item but forgot to press cash back I asked if he could return the item so I could start all over because I didn't want to buy one more thing to get $20 cash back he then tells me no again that he can't do it?! I've been to other Walgreens and this one is far the worst customer service ever. I was trying to call in an order to the pharmacy which I was placed on hold right away, waited for 15 minutes just so they can just hang up. I called again placed on hold for another 15 minutes just to get sent to automated system. Smh. At the end before going home from work I had to stop at the location and place the order in person. What a waste of time. Especially when I walk in and see the workers standing around talking. Training is in order read more
