This spot will always be a place of infamy for me. It's where I got my Pfizer shots, getting to be a little part of history to help eradicate our current situation. It was well -organized and my waiting time was practically non existent. The staff was helpful and engaging and didn't feel bogged down by rehashing the same info all day. For my first shot, the technician who provided it was so unfazed by her duties that after I got a little teary-eyed, she thought I was experiencing a reaction, but I assured her, the tears stinging my eyes were of relief. She escorted me to the waiting area, set up the timer, and I was on my merry way in 15 mins. Sadly, I was hoping to treat myself to some ice cream... but this has to be the only CVS I've been to that didn't have any freezers. Instead, I bought a few snacks for the road and hightailed it to my destination. Fortunately, other than a sore arm the next day, I've had no other symptoms. In fact, after my second shot, I didn't even have that unless I applied pressure to the area. My second shot was done also as easily. And the technician I had was just the sweetest. They were very well organized through the process. There's metered street parking and I had no problem finding a spot both times.

So I go to CVS to pick up a prescription and it is not ready when I get there. I ask how long is it going to be? And I am told 10 minutes So I wait 20 minutes before returning to the registerand ask for my and I am told that it is not ready. Hmmm! Another 10 minute wait and my name is called and I pick up my prescription. Not really upset about this but it does point out that perhaps they should have another person at the register for busy times. CVS is usually my go to place for prescriptions and all the other items that have to do with health maintenance. The CVS brand cookies are tasty, they have a good greeting card selection and all items seem to be in stock. When an item is not available you can get a rain check. Best of all is their CVS card where you accumulate points for discounts.

This CVS pharmacy is the seventh level of hell. Your prescription is never ready. You show up when they say it will be ready and are told to wait 10 minutes. It then takes them a half hour to fill. After that, you have to wait in a line of 6 people, all of whom are having the same problems with them as you. It's like being in a Kafka story. Also, prescriptions sent by your doctor have about a 50% of being received. If they didn't get it, you have to call your doctor to resend. Buying non-prescription items here isn't any less frustrating. The checkout personnel are slow, dimwitted, and rude. Also the store is run down and dirty. The only bright spot is the ample off-street parking. Stay away. I hope my suffering will save you the agony of dealing with these people. Please let my horrible experiences here have some meaning.

Too many items constantly out of stock.

The parking lot was huge with a few choice spots that were close in proximity to Walgreens. I found a back door that looked like it was locked and no one walked in or out. I gather enough energy to take a chance on pulling on the door to find that it was open. SUCCESS! Perusing the aisle, I found a lot of good sales and lower prices on generic brands, off brands, private labels, store brands or non-proprietary brands. However, you decide to define them. I saw Cheerios for $5.75 and the " store brand" was $2.75 If anyone is a price chopper shopper, the store brand would be a great way to save. I also found Scott products for sale. The staff here are generally slow, lazy, and in a bad mood despite not getting much work done. Like hire one or two eager teenagers who want to move out and that could be fixed. Better yet, promote a deserving younger person who's motivated and treats both their coworkers and customers well! Prices are generally high here and I'm finding less deals here, at least in stock when something's going on. Pharmacy is just as bad, so the poison seeps deep here. It's mostly unhelpful, clueless, and somehow can't fill a lot of prescriptions so it becomes a waste of time. The kicker is the back entrance is often closed, but at least there's a parking spot!

As soon as Rite Aid closed and all our prescriptions were transferred over to CVS, I expected a horror show. But I have to give a shout out to every single person behind the Pharmacy counters. When I walked in for the first time to pick up a bunch of prescriptions, the line was very long. However, they had four people helping customers, and the line moved quickly. Each customer was greeted with a smile and a friendly tone, and the transaction was quick. Not once did they get upset, angry or frustrated with any customer even though it was very clear they could've. People are so angry and so quick to judge. You reap what you sow. If you go up to the counter and you start yelling or getting angry at these poor employees (as a few did), you're not gonna get very far with anyone. I expected a long wait and difficult time. I am very happy to say that I was completely wrong. Thanks, CVS for making the transition, smooth and easy!

On the plus side, it usually carries most, not all , of the personal items I need. It occasionally - well, at least in one instance - was able to fill a prescription I needed that Amazon Pharmacy could not. However, service is very inconsistent. Anyone who uses this pharmacy knows that the pharmacy lines can be ridiculously long. You usually cannot call the pharmacy, you have to leave a message. Employees are not always friendly or knowledgeable. And yesterday, I waited for a cashier in front of the store and, although there were employees all around who saw me, no one came to help. One employee started to come over and then got side tracked by something else. I tried to be patient but I eventually had to use a self-check out scanner. I've been with this CVS for years, but I think I'm gonna switched over to the much smaller XOXO Pharmacy across the street which my sister loves. 2 1/2 stars sounds about right for this CVS.

We were able to get in touch with her ENT who prescribed some medication. However, try finding a pharmacy that will answer the phone and accommodate our needs immediately, not so easy. You see it was 8:00 AM and my mother needed to arrive at the funeral home before 10:30 AM. The ENT Doctor assured us if my mother could get the medication in her system it should start to work and she could be up on her feet in a couple of hours. Now I had to find a pharmacy that would contact the Doctor, fill the prescription and have it ready for me in minutes, basically impossible. So I thought. Well, Town offered the impossible. I called one hour before they opened, only expecting to leave a message. When miraculously, Alan picked up the phone. I explained the situation and received the exact response I wanted but never expected to get. "Give me the Doctors number, get here ASAP, knock on the door because the store will still be closed but I'll have everything ready for you". At 10:15 a.m. my mother was able to walk into the funeral home and say her final goodbye to my father. Thank you Town Pharmacy and Thank you Alan, A Real Life Super Hero.

How is that my wife and I had the exact opposite experience as all these people have had? Well, when the owners of said business decide to sell it two weeks after you enroll your prescriptions. So basically, you can pretty much disregard all of the reviews up until November 2025, as they were posted under Town Pharmacy's previous family-owned front. I don't know who these new guys are, but this place is as hot of a mess as it gets. Nobody currently working here seems to have any idea what they're doing. They consistently get confused. I've called three times asking to have the same two prescriptions refilled and delivered to my home. Each time, nothing was done. In one instance, someone answered and asked me to "Call my doctor to get the ball rolling" while he worked on getting my order. Uhh...isn't that what I just called YOU to do? The venerable icing on the cake was one morning when my wife called to order her insulin. She was told it would be delivered same-day. Gets a callback a little time later: "Sorry, it's too dark out. Someone will come tomorrow." It was 4pm. My wife and I were left speechless. Until, and IF, this place gets its act together, I'd avoid this pharmacy. Already, reluctantly, in the process of moving my scrips to Walgreens.
