While shopping, an older woman…read morepulled me aside and told me I "can't do too many transactions because the blonde girl gets cranky." When I told her this was my first time here, she gave me a rude look and condescendingly asked, "Are you sure?" Her tone was unnecessary and unprofessional. It's ridiculous for employees to discourage customers from making legitimate purchases just because a worker "gets cranky." That is their job. The entire interaction felt discriminatory, and I do not feel welcome here. I won't be back.

Jared was so helpful and just a delight to talk to. He knows customer service and how important it is and surely delivers it. I hope that he gets the recognition that he deserves. I would also like CVS to have a immediate contact us page where we could deliver orchid letters. I tried to find some way to compliment him. The contact page has a physical address and a phone number. Instead I will call the manager of the store tomorrow to speak with her directly. This might be something that CVS Corporate would like to add to their website. Thanks again Jared and CVS for coming to our rescue.

We had to switch insurance due to my husband having been laid off and subsequently getting a new position. In the interim, we had to send out to India to get my daughter's asthma medicine while my husband's new job kicked in for his benefits. When the aetna benefits came, we immediately went to pick up the prescription from our normal pharmacy at JC but were told that there was a problem with the ins and we had to wait until the next week to get it straightened. We were panicking as the last shipment from overseas hadn't come in on time. We called the pharmacist at Binghamton and he was amazing. He did some investigation for us and found that our new ins went through a thrid party for prescriptions then went out of his way to find the group number to use. On top of this, my husband's new employer submitted the date of birth backwards; something so little but that pharmacist caught it after looking up our old insurance we had at walgreens. It took him three different calls on and off for some hours and a lot of extra work for him. We will always be indebted to him for that as he literally saved my daughter's life. He changed it manually in the system and did this twice until the place my husband worked would finally get it changed in their system (what a nightmare). They are always so friendly, helpful and worth the extra drive. On top of this, Walgreens is now my go to during the coronavirus (Johnson City and Binghamton) as they are implementing stricter guidelines for wearing masks in the store and it's the only place I feel relaxed and safe enough to get anything in person right now. I go for literally everything; even food items now. I really just can't say enough about how much I appreciate them. THANK YOU!

This is a hit-or-miss Walmart, and my rating has nothing to do with the absence of a vision center…read moreor fast food restaurant. So I'm doing a "roll back", to use the company's lingo, to make it clear this location is barely mediocre for Walmart standards in the year 2020. We all know Walmart as a place where you can always find what's not at your go-to grocery store, pharmacy, or other discount store (or what's too expensive at one of these three places compared to what you can safely guesstimate the price will be at Walmart). Not here. One day, there were no 40oz bottles of generic honey. On more than one occassion one or two varieties of commonly sold generic dry beans weren't on the shelves (I can't remember if I was looking for chick or black, but I wasn't looking for an organic heirloom medley.). Yesterday they only had green lentils, there weren't any red lentils. There was the time I just knew there'd be more baby shampoo/conditioner options here compared to CVS but found fewer than five types of baby shampoo and no baby conditioner. I want to talk about the folding chair I couldn't find yesterday, but I didn't ask a staffer to verify their inventory (like I did when looking for a utility cart, of which there was only one), so I won't. Then there's the issue of a lack of training or lack of wanting to follow procedure. It hasn't happened a lot, but it's happened enough to be one of the factors that made a case for this yelp. So, based on my complaints above, inventory and stocking seem to be an issue. There was the time when my refund was put on my credit card instead of on my debit card because, even though I paid with a debit card, the staffer claimed there was a glitch preventing the refund to be applied to my debit card. And yesterday, I experienced another one for the #ReallyTho files: The cashier who helped us - who was as slow as molasses, btw (Real talk: the person who came behind us to be the thrid in line, waited, observed, then shook his head a little and left for another queue) - ABSOLUTELY NEEDED to unnecessarily touch all three of my bulk bread items to ring them up. Even though I'd put them in one clear bag, and even though ringing up these items doesn't require weighing them separately - which I know for sure because I'd learned to ring them up myself at self check-out in Vestal - this cashier needed to handle my food. She pulled out my mini ciabatta and put it in a separate bag; then pulled out each of the mini baguettes (one wheat one white) and just held them in her hand, one by one, while trying to ring them up because she could neither remember nor find the code for these three $1 items. That's when I noticed that she was wearing gloves. But wait. Had she always been wearing the gloves? Because I have never EVER - not even when I've put my bulk items in a brown bag - had a cashier need to touch my food, it never crossed my mind to be so critical of this one. I mean, I didn't find a booger on my bread when I got home, but still. This was not the context for tactile learning, gloves or no gloves, which didn't help any because she STILL rang up the bread wrong (and I made sure to tell her twice the $1 price I saw on the bin of each variety). Seriously, L'eggo my mini ciabatta and mini baguettes, girlfriend. So yeah, two stars for these guys. #SorryNotSorry

I wandered around for a while trying to find him. When he finally arrived, the customer service left much to be desired and he was a bit smart mouthed. Not a fan.. I don't care for being mistreated as a customer another serious issue this store has is lack of inventory. I've stopped by the store on four occasions over three weeks looking for. basic item., and it wasn't I stock. Too many places to spend money these days.. Walgreens and Amazon will be my go to places from now on. By the way.. self checkout cost CVS far more money from theft than they ever save. Before the pharmacy opened, I attempted to reorder but there system did not recognize her birthdate. So, I wanted to leave a message on their automated phone system. Each time I tried the system shut down before I could leave a message. So, I went in to the pharmacy as soon as it opened. I asked to speak to the manager to complain that I hadn't been able to leave a message (which forced me drive in and then wait for the prescription). She was not interested in hearing my complaint so I asked if she would relay it to upper management. At that point she became aggressive and suggested that I choose another pharmacy. She said that she would be happy to transfer my account there. Now, I have been a customer at CVS for many many years but I drove to the nearby Walgreens and was met by a smiling pharmacist who was happy to serve me.
