I showed up today with my mom because I had a gift card and wanted to see if I could find a decent moisturizer here that didn't break the bank. Their prestige makeup is always very alluring, but a tad too expensive for me. Since it's the holidays, they were set up with their products that would make good gifts, front and center. I was buying something for myself, however, so I didn't really pay attention. The store is very well organized, though! Just as I started looking for the perfect moisturizer, one caught my eye almost instantly. I like water based, gel moisturizer, so the one from Neutrogena I saw was ticking all those boxes. I grabbed the box and went up to the cash registers. Though there was no one there at first (totally understandable, as the staff was out on the floor helping other customers), I didn't wait long. A store associate who was finished helping someone came up to the register and apologized for the wait, which was nice of her. We chatted about some things we ended up having in common and she was probably the nicest, most pleasant staff member I've ever met there. It was great that she didn't rush me through the checkout process like a lot of retail workers do this time of year (as a former retail grunt, I totally understand why). Nice spacious parking lot, don't feel rushed, those 30 minute parking signs are to scare the people who park there to go down to the canal. I've never walked in here and haven't been greeted with a smile friendly employee. Their cosmetic area is well lighted, spacious, and inviting. I love strolling through that area, they have the best displays and it's never a mess- which those areas tend to be. I've always loved Walgreens for their card sections, I've found they have more of a variety than Rite Aid. Get their discount card, they have suprise points and ways to get extra bonus money off of your purchases. Always ask about your points, I find they sometimes scan your card but forget to mention you have points to use. Also their 1 hour photo ready prints are my go to! I recommend downloading the app and ordering off of there than going in person.

Everyone is polite whenever I go there. They'll also make deals with you on pricing. I'm a natural negotiator so I'm always at least proposing a deal. . Again though it's crowded they need more space or to revamp the landscape of the store. That's my only complaint. I have a lady line coming out soon and I plan on making this store one of my distributing locations. It's all about the deals!

The people who work there are super nice, they are open decently late (9 or 10pm I think most nights), the place is very clean and they have an obscene amount of security cameras for those nervous about the area (I live not too far from here but this area is a little more shady than mine - during the day I have no worries, but it's not a good idea to be walking around alone at night; come with a friend and park close). They have hair stuff SO cheap, and it is pretty much the same stuff you would buy at a department store or at the mall but at a fraction of the price. They have "knockers" (the figure 8 ponytailers with a bead on either end) for $1 a pack - there are like 8 pairs on a pack, they don't stretch out quick and they have any color you could want, even leopard print, neons and metallics! I got a load of leopard earrings here for $1 a pair, in like ten colors. They just have a HUGE selection - beads (also very good for crafting - they even have wooden ones), barrettes, regular ponytailers, hair clips, pins, all types of rollers including those popular bendy ones, etc. They also, of course, have weave, discount sneakers, belts, etc, but I come for the accessories. They also sell a pretty decent generic brand of lipgloss and nailpolish that is very cheap, doesn't wreak like toxic waste and doesn't make me break out. I usually try to buy stuff either used or made in the US (or from another country with good labor laws) but frankly it's pretty hard to even find this kind of hair stuff not made overseas now that 99% of plastic stuff is made in Asia, so why pay more for it elsewhere?

This happened at their McKinley mall location WITH THE OWNER…read moreOF THE COMPANY I all ways try to shop small businesses, last Friday I was at their stand in the McKinley mall and I bought an 8 oz jar of lotion a great experience purchasing it but that night I opened the jar and it looked like finger marks I was unable to go back the next day so I emailed the company and they explained their crafting process and that because I took the seal off that there was no possible way for it to have been tampered with but I was unsure how it came out like that when other lotions don't. My mom and I went to the mall today and they were open and to my surprise the owners were working the stand and the owner I was speaking to wouldn't allow me to speak she was yelling at me and every time I tried to speak she would cut me off and repeat that their process was perfect and sterile, my mom turned to me and said let's just go and not come back to their stand and she turned to my mom and told her to stop being rude and my mom said let's go again and the owner told her to stop being rude then she turns to me and says "sorry you have to put up with that she nothing but rude" my mom was not being rude and she was speaking to me calmly and not the owner. It is unacceptable as a business owner to represent your company like that!
